Ragnians... seen the epi... enjoy IF versionđ
Kamla maa stands in the shadows, behind the pillar of the mandir not believing her eyes and ears, her Kalpi and Ragav baba are playing holi with a twist. "Ragav baba!" Kamla maa shouts, "What are you doing?"
Ragav turns, looks at Kamla maa, smiles and calmly says, "Kamla maa... oops sorry aai, I am so glad you are here... you are our witness to Kalpi and I being Ragna." He turns to Kalpi, his gaze softens with his love for her and says, "Come Kalpi, let us take aai's arshidwaad", wanting to reassure her that all will be well.
Kalpi looks into Ragav's eyes, eyes reflecting... love.. promise.. commitment... respect... longing... strength and lastly satisfaction... eyes saying, baby you are mine at last... she smiles, her fear and anxiety fading. Lost into one another, she places her hand into Ragav's outstretched hand and they both walk towards Kamla maa.
Kamla maa looks towards them, aghast, thinking, "Are they really coming to take my arshiwaad?Oh no what should I do. Ragav is obviously crazy... crazy in love. If I slap Kalpi, he just might slap me back... and he is my damaad now... oh no kya karu..." She takes a deep gulp not liking the direction of her thoughts.
As Ragna walk towards Kaamla maa lost in each other, Kamla quickly thinks of different reactions
1) Take a step back like the 80s/90s MILs and refuse to give arshiwaad
2) Drop on the floor and overact, claim twisted ankle and unimaginable pain
3) Fake faint... no no, I might hurt myself with that one if I fall badly... these two are so engrossed in each other they wont notice until I am flat on the floor... scratch last idea out.
Not being able to decide, Kamla maa panics and says, "Stop", she turns towards Kalpi, her eyes brimming with tears and her lips trembling ever so slightly and thinks, "Yea this will work, it always works on Vithal", confident on her success, she looks at Kalpi imploringly and says, "Kalpi beta, how could you do this? Beta Ragav baba is married."
Kalpi smiles reassuringly and says, "Aai, please don't worry. Ragav is just promising his commitment to me... in one years time when he is free we will marry, when he divorces Pakhi... I will not have to share him with Pakhi... he will be mine and only mine." Her smile falters and looks at Kamla maa sadly and says, "Aai, how long do I have to wait for you to be mine."
Kamla maa looks at Kalpi speculatively and says shrewdly, "You don't want to share me with Pakhi... done as of today you will only exist in my life." Kalpi looks at Kamla maa with her eyes shining with happiness, thinking, "what a lovely night this has turned out to be. She has her love and her mother."
Kamla maa continues, "Kalpi I am not done, I have a condition... forget Raghav. Pakhi has first right to him."
Kalpi looks at her mother in disbelief,and says brokenly "aai, your love comes with conditions... I have always had first right to you, but you have always given it to Pakhi." Shaking her head sadly, she says, "aai, I have first right to Ragav too, his heart beats for me as mine beats for him."
Kalpi takes a deep breath and says, "Pakhi may be married to Ragav, but she is not his wife... I may not be married to Ragav as yet, but I am his wife. A husband and wife's relationship is not just a marriage certificate... it is trust... respect...support... strength... love... desire... oneness. It is everything we share."
Kamla maa looks at Kalpi in frustration and says, "What about my dream?" Kalpi smiles and says reassuringly, "My love for Ragav... my commitment to him... my future with him... will not stop me from achieving your dream... I will work towards my successful career."
Kamla maa looks at Kalpi, her eyes glinting in anger, her temper rising, she says sharply, "Oh wake up Kalpi, with all the education you have had, one would think by now you know what my dream is, just marrying Ragav baba you have become memsaab. I am talking out my true dream... to always make Pakhi happy."
Kalpi and Ragav look at each other đ˛.
