Part 3:
"Okay guys, mein Maa ko mana kar aata hoon" Prem said turning to leave. Maya stepped forward and grabbed his hand. "Kahaan jaarein ho tum?" she demanded. "Apni Ma ko manane" Prem said. "Haan toh hum saath karne waale thai ye kaam, na?" "Kyun?" Prem asked her. "Meri Sasu Maa ko main ache se mana loongi" Maya said with a smile. "Saasu Maa?" Prem asked confused. "Arre idiot, shaadi ke baad voh meri Sasu Ma hi huyi na!" Maya snapped. Prem looked thoughtful and then finally nodded his head. "Soh toh hai" he told her. "'Soh toh Soh toh hai'" Maya mimicked him. "Ab chalo bhi!"
The group went to the garden as Prem told them that their mother was usually at the bench. "Maa ko pata nahin hamari shaadi se kya problem hai, Bhaiya" Paakhi told her brother Prem. Prem nodded. "Maana ki Sammy theek thaak hai lekin Maa ne meri pasand Maya ko bhi thukra diya?" Prem said to his sister. "Oh hello" Paakhi said angrily. "Kisne kaha ki Sammy theek thaak hai, voh best hai!" "Best?" Kalpi spoke up from behind them. "Toh mera Raghav best-est hai." Maya spoke up, "Aa ha ha, Kalpi. Tu hi toh hamesha kehti ho ki Raghav ak-doo hai!" "Girls, re lax" Paakhi said saying re and lax between a pause which caused Sammy to smile. Paakhi had a funny way of speaking. "A gar -" "Paakhi!" Raghav said in anger. "Stop pausing between every syllable of your words, it's so irritating!"
Paakhi ignored him. "Je- se -mein -keh- ra-" "For goodness sake, Paakhi this is not the time!" Prem hissed. "Ok fine!" Paakhi said. "Girls" she went on. "Inh ladko ke wajah se hum kyun lad rahe hai? Yeh sab inki galti hai!" Maya nodded, "Exactly!" she said. Prem's eyes widened as Maya reached for him. She grabbed his hand and took him behind a few trees.
"Yeh dono kahaan gaye?" Raghav asked. "Le gayi ho gi, Maya apne Prem ko usski galti ki sazza dene" Sammy said with a chuckle. "Boht hassi aa rahi hai na?" Paakhi asked. "Ab tu rukk!" she ran after him with a stick in her hand.
Meanwhile, Raghav looked over to Kalpi who was standing there. "Hum kya karre?" she asked. "Hum bhi jhagar le kya?" "Mm..I don't think so" Raghav said shaking his head. He smiled and took her hand in his. He put it on his cheek. Kalpana thought fast and then brought her hand back. "Tumhe sirf mauka chahiye mera haath pakar ne ka, Raghav!" she said. Raghav smiled knowing his plan had worked. He had given her an excuse to argue with him on purpose. She placed her hands on her hips and pointed her finger at him. "Ay listen Mr. mujhe apni Ai ko bhi mana na hai, tumhari yeh faltu baaton keliye mere paas bilkul bhi waqt- nahi- hai!" "Ab tum bhi Paakhi ki tarah baat karte karte rukne lagi" Raghav responded with attitude.
"Ab chalo hum apne parents ko mana ne jaate hai" Kalpi said. "Lekin yeh sab" Raghav said. "Mein inh ke liye khat likh deti hoon ki hum dono jaa rahe hai" Kalpi said pulling out a notepad out of her suitcase. "Good idea" Raghav said as he watched Kalpi scribble something down on her notepad and place it on top of Pakhi's suitcase that was lying on the ground nearby. "Okay let's go" Raghav said picking up his own bag. He put a hand around her waist and together they walked to Raghav's house.
Meanwhile, Maya had taken Prem behind a bunch of trees and had immediately gotten to work. "No, Maya, please" Prem had pleaded. But she had shook her head bossily and punched him in the stomach. Then she grabbed him by the collar and pushed him to the ground. Then she kicked him so he rolled right into another tree. "Aise ladko ko line mein rakhte hai" Maya said rubbing her hands together in satisfaction. "Ab shaadi ke baad agar tumne phir se koi galti ki toh yehi bhugatna padega" Maya said with a smirk. Prem mumbled something under his breath and tries getting up. Maya offers him a hand. "Uthiye" she said sweetly. Prem smiled back and got up.
"Chalo Wapas!" Maya said.
On the other hand, Paakhi who had been chasing Sammy with a stick had ran out of breath and sat down on the bench to catch her breath. She buried her face into her hands. She looked up when someone tapped her shoulder. Sammy's mom?? "Aunty Ji, aap?" Paakhi asked kindly. "Haan behta, mein roz morning walk pe aati hoon" Sammy's mother told her. "Ji aap bethiye na" Pakhi said scooting over on the bench to make room for her. They sat there silently for a few moments and then Sammy's mom spoke up. "Tum boht chahti ho usse?" Paakhi looked up into her eyes. They had so much concern for Sammy. After all he was her son. Paakhi nodded. Sam's mother sighed. "Kya baat hai, Aunty Ji?" Paakhi asked. After all voh hi ladki mere saath rahegi na? Kya iss mein kuch galat hai?" Paakhi nodded. "Mein samaj sakti hoon. Aap mujhe jaan na chaati hai na? Koi baat nahi, aap jitna waqt lena chaahe aap le sakti hai." "Thank you, behta." she replied.
"Kaam karo tum dono ghar aa jao" his mother told her. Paakhi nodded. "Mein Sammy ko lekar aati hoon.." "No dear, mein chalti hoon, tum dono saath mein aana" Sam's mother said with a smile. Paakhi blushed but nodded at the same time. Paakhi bent down to take her blessings. In return she put her hand on Pakhi's head. She didn't know why but it seemed as if Paakhi was the right person for her son.
Paakhi immediately ran towards the direction she had seen Sammy running off to. Sammy was leaning against a tree waiting for her. "Sammy! Kitna tang karte ho tum mujhe! Not- Fair!" Paakhi said. Sammy smiled. "Chiraate bhi unko hai jinse hum pyaar karte hai" he said looking into her kind eyes. She smiled. "Yeah..tum aur tumhari baatein.."
Sammy pulled her into a hug. She hugged him back with the same amount of love. "I love you, Sammy" she said. "Yeah..like I don't" Sammy joked. Paakhi pulled back and punched him lightly in the arm. "Good news hai" she told him. "What?" he asked, while gazing dreamily into her eyes. She told him about meeting his mom. "Really?" he exclaimed. "Great going!" "Thanks" she said. Sammy lifted her up in his arms and turned round and round a few times. Once he put her down, she said, "Sammy...kabhi kabhi dar lagta hai ki- agar-yeh khushiyan mujhse alag ho-gayi toh..." "Come on, don't say that" Sammy said shaking his head. "Mein tumhari khushiya ko kahi bhi jaane nahi doonga." Pakhi's eyes teared up. "Ab bas bhi..typical ladki ki tada rone matt lag jao" Sammy said wiping her tears away. She laughed. "True." They broke out of their trance when they heard Maya giggling. To their horror they saw that Prem had recorded everything on his phone. "Prem!" Sammy said obviously annoyed. "Ha ha!" Prem said handing the phone to Maya. As she replayed it, she said, "Not bad!" "Maya ki bachi!" Paakhi said. "Maya ki bachi toh filaal pedha hi nahi huyi hai" Maya replied back, all smiles. "Aur vaise bhi iss se tumhari hi maddat ho gi" Prem said. "Keise?" Sammy asked. "Jab Neetu tum dono ka pyar dekhi gi woh emotional ho jaaye gi, tum log toh jaante hi ho ki woh kitni emotional hai" Prem said. Paakhi smiled. "Oh yeah..but-" Prem grabbed the phone back from Maya and sent the video to Neetu before Paakhi could continue. "Thodi ungli tedi kar bhi le toh koi baat nahi" Prem said with a smile. "Ab bano matt, Bhaiya!" Paakhi said. "Aap jante hai ki agar Neetu mere liye maan gayi toh woh tumhe bhi inkaar nahi kar payegi." "Chalo isse bahaane sahi kam se kam mom hum dono ke liye maan toh jaayegi" Prem said. Maya nodded in agreement.
Raghav and Kalpi went to his house hoping his mother's anger had cooled down a bit. When Raghav's mom opened the door she did not look surprised. "Come in" she said. The two nodded and stepped inside the haveli. His mother went and sat down on the couch. They started to sit but Gauri said, "Khade raho!" "Not you, dear. You may sit" Gauri added to Kalpi. Kalpi smirked at Raghav and sat down. "Meine socha" Gauri said. "Aur meine teh kiya hai ki..." Kalpana pressed her lips together nervously. It all depended on Gauri Ma now. "I accept Kalpi as my to-be-bahu" Gauri said. Raghav grinned widely. "Ma..sach?" "Lekin meri ek shart hai" Gauri said. "Kya?" Raghav asked. "Apne gusse ko kaboo mein rakha karo, mein nahi chahti ki koi ladki tumaare karan takleef main ho" Gauri said strictly. Raghav smiled and nodded. "Ma..mein ab voh pele waala akdoo nahi raha, don't worry." Gauri nodded and picking up a magazine walked to her room. Raghav smiled at Kalpi. "Ma toh maan gayi..ab Kamla Ma hi reh gayi hai." "Voh bhi maan jaayegi" Kalpana said. "I know" Raghav murmured. He took a step towards her. He gently cupped her face. She closed her eyes and he closed his eyes and he brought his face near hers and- *Someone clears their throat* RagNa immediately step back from each other and turn to face the source of the disturbance. Raghav's dad. "H-hello, Sir" Kalpana said nervously. "Hello, Behta" Raghav's father said kindly. "Raghav, tumhari Maa maan gayi na?" he asked his son. Raghav smiled and nodded. "Haan, Dad" he told his father proudly. "C'mere son" Mr. Singhania said. Kalpana watched Raghav and his dad hug with a smile on her face. "Well?" his father asked her. "Ji?" she asked. "What are you waiting for daughter-in-law, you come here and give me a hug as well!" Kalpi laughed and hugged him along with Raghav. "Thanks, Sir" she said. "Dad bulao na" Mr. Singhania said. "Theek hai. Dad" Kalpi said with a smile. "Good girl" MR. Singhania said placing a hand of blessings on her head. "Gauri" he called out and went to the room to look for her. "Tum bhi na" Kalpi said to Raghav irritatedly. "Papa dekh lete." "Haan toh Dad dekh lete toh kya hota?" Raghav asked her. Kalpi rolled her eyes. Raghav kabhi nahi sudhrenge. "Acha acha theek hai, ab hume Kamla Ma ko bhi mana na hai" Raghav told her. She nodded. He spoke up. "Kiss nahi toh ek hug hi de do." She smiled shyly and was about to hug him when- Gauri cleared her throat. 😆 Raghav smacked his head and turned towards his mother who was smiling widely knowing she had disturbed them. She laughed a bit making Kalpana blush really hard.
