Very good post! However I would like to give my POV for the below two people:
Vitthal - he did try to convince Kamla and brought forward all good points. However, he should not have said that the decision will be Kamla's in the end. He should have stuck to his stand.
His reaction was perfect and in character! Please do not forget, he loves his wife to an extent that does not even exist!!
He had understood her even on the day she ignored Kalpi to drown and saved Pooka first!!
That day too he was upset but he settled down for the fact that for Kamla responsibility an duty came before even her motherhood!! He realises that her greatness has made her family sacrifice many things! Yet he is devoted to her and loves her but he is not henpecked! He very well understands that Kamla has a mind of her own and it is useless to manipulate her decisions!!! He knew what he had to say and he did give his feedback to her and left the ball in her court as he wanted her and only her to come to a conclusion and he knows that Kamla loves Kalpi after all she gave birth to her!!!
He has made a very rational decision according to me!
Kalpi - I wish I had seen more shock from her when her own mother takes Pakhi's side and thought that aapki beti meant pakhi. Also her reaction was the biggest disappointment for me. If she truly says that she will not marry raghav without her mother's consent I will feel sorry for him. He has always told her how alone he is and that she is the only person in his life. He has also told her that he hopes she will never leave him.
What more shock you expect dear! To a young girl who almost died drowning when she called out to her mom expecting to save her and saw her saving the other girl instead of her, do you think this girl will anything more left to be shocked and expect!!! Kalpi's reactions were perfect as unlike Kamla, Kalpi knows her mother better than anybody on this earth!! At times I feel Kalpi is the mother as Kalpi has always forgiven her, understood her feelings, respected her decisions, trusted her and has always known that her mother does love her!!! even without Kamla having to express the same!!
