PART 9

Raghav watched Kalpi sleep as he studied her beautiful features. She looked so tender, relaxed and at peace that Raghav felt like he was falling in love all over again. He felt like the luckiest man to have such an amazing woman in his life, by his side. The list of things he would be forever grateful to Kalpana for was long and he hoped that one day he would make up for all that she had done and sacrificed for him. He would guide her in getting her ek mutthi aasmaan.

Kalpi woke up feeling Raghav's fingers tracing her skin. "Good morning."- Kalpi whispered turning to face Raghav. Raghav leaned in and gently pressed his lips against hers. As the kiss deepened, Kalpi pushed Raghav away saying, "Control Raghav! Aren't you getting late for work?" Raghav tried to grab Kalpi but she was too fast for him as she jumped out of the bed giggling. "You are no fun!"- Raghav said sullenly as he got out of bed and headed into the bathroom.

Half an hour later, Kalpi was in the process of making breakfast when Raghav walked into the kitchen. For a moment, Kalpi stopped what she was doing as her eyes swept over her dashing husband making her knees go weak. Seeing Kalpi's expression, Raghav gave her a dirty grin as he moved closer to her. "You know I still have half an hour to spare before I have to be at the office for the meeting. 45 minutes if I break the speed limit."- Raghav whispered into Kalpi's ear making her heart skip a beat. Kalpi turned around and without uttering a single word, pressed her lips onto Raghav's biting his lips and tugging his shirt at the same time. "Damn, I love being married!"- Raghav thought as he carried Kalpi back into the bedroom.

"Have I ever told you how much I love you?"- Raghav muttered planting a soft kiss on Kalpi's forehead. "Yes, you have but I wouldn't mind hearing it again."- Kalpi replied snuggling into Raghav's chest. Yes, Kalpi missed her family, especially her brother and father, but Raghav was family now, her family.

Kalpi watched as Raghav got dressed. Watching him smile made her smile. He had changed so much compared to when she had first met him after he had returned to India. The old Raghav now seemed like a distant memory. Though she couldn't deny that at times she did miss her Mr. Akdoo.

"What are you thinking about?"- Raghav questioned breaking her chain of thoughts. "How I miss the old bossy Raghav."- Kalpi replied teasingly. "Really? Would you like to see what the old Raghav is capable of doing with his wife?'- Raghav asked jokingly.

Before Kalpi could answer, Raghav's phone rang with Sammy's number flashing on the screen. Though Kalpana couldn't hear what Sammy was saying, she could tell by the tension on Raghav's face that something wasn't right.

"I'll have to leave for the office straight away."- Raghav said the moment he disconnected the call. "What's wrong Raghav?"- Kalpi asked softly her hands on Raghav's arm.

"It's Prem, Prem Kapoor. He's at waiting for me in the conference room at the office."- Raghav replied distractedly. "I better leave. I'll see you back at home in the evening okay?"- Raghav said giving Kalpi a quick kiss on the cheek and making his way out without waiting for a reply.

"Wait, I'll come too."-Kalpi began but by then Raghav had already left. She silently prayed that everything would be all right.
