Somehow, I doubt if the age will be a factor as much as his status. Like you said, they are in awe of him and treat him like a king and master. If anything, Kalpi's parents are likely to be shocked at her temerity to fall in love with such a person, especially Kamala.
Today, Kalpi could have easily announced Raghav's name when her mother asked who the person was. Instead, she went off on a tangent about wanting to be sure about her feelings and the man.
She also said she wanted her parents to be sure as well.
Well, what's there to be sure? They already think the sun rises on him. They love, adore and respect him. Kalpi's vagueness about the person's identity is a deliberate move by the cvs...so that they can set the ground for future confusion and misunderstanding.
