Hi Saanjh! I'm sorry I'm late but I didn't get a pm for this one update. I just checked and here you are with a new update. I love how you write. You described Raghav's feelings beautifully. He's still paying the price for the one mistake he made. But he's been suffering along with her all these years. Wish she understood that. Hiya has accepted him. When will Kalpi do that wholeheartedly. Now also marriage is a compromise for her whereas he's on cloud nine after hearing that she agreed for the alliance. What happens when he knows the truth. Also you are not rushing anything. You are going on a good pace. Keep it up.

Maybe saanjh this is my first comment but this s is lovely and this is the only ss that i am reading now on ema forum or the reason for coming to this forum is now ur ss only thanks for such beautiful writing 😳Hats off 👏

Chap 24:

Though Singhania and yadavs both agree for a simple marriage but they want to follow all rituals. Samrat and Ria came to India to attend Kalpana's marriage. Day before marriage, haldi is put on Raghav and Kalpana in their own houses. Then Jiya and Ria put mehandi on Kalpana's hand. On the other hand, Raghav reaches at Kalpana's house to give her anklets. Sammy is accompanying him. They reach under window of Kalpana's room.

Sammy : are you sure Raghav, it is Kalpana's room. If you will mistakenly enter in your brother-in- law's room, he will kill you.

Raghav smiles : I know it is Kalpana's room. I can feel it.

Sammy teases : yeah..Your feelings. But don't you think that you should not enter into Kalpana's room like this. You are not teenager. You are 41 and father of a nine year old daughter.

Raghav : be a good friend Sammy. It is my first marriage and I have every right to enter into my bride's room like this.

Sammy smiles seeing his friend like this. He self thinks that I want to see u happy always.

Jiya writes Raghav's name in Kalpana's hand continuously teasing her. Kalpana gives her a half hearted smile. Ria notices this and keeps mum. Kalpana is looking at Hiya ans Neel who are dancing with Samrat. Samrat looks at Kalpana looking at him and children. He comes near Kalpana.

Samrat : I know I am very handsome Kalpi.

Ria : some people have so much misunderstanding.

Samrat ignores Ria and Kalpana smiles.

Samrat : ignore her. You are looking beautiful sweet heart. I am ready to run away with you.

Kalpana : me too sweet heart. Let's run away.

Samrat holds Kalpana's hand and before anyone can understand, he drags her to her room and locks it.

Raghav who is hiding behind curtains in Kalpana's rooms sees Kalpana and Samrat entering into room. Raghav fumes in anger seeing that Samrat is holding Kalpana's hand. He likes Kalpana's every friend except Samrat. May be because he is very close to Kalpana and he can't bear anyone so close to Kalpana. Rahul is good but this over smart, flirt, good for nothing Samrat sticks with Kalpana like glue. If he will ever get a chance, he will punch him hard on his eyes. No, he has to control his feelings for this stupid person otherwise Kalpana will never forgive her.

Kalpana : what is this Samrat ?

Samrat : I wants to ask u same What is this Kalpi?

Kalpana : what do you mean ?

Samrat : you know very well what I mean. Why did you agree to marry Raghav?

Kalpana : why do i answer u when you didn't answer my question?

Samrat : That's different.

Kalpana : You can't escape saying it is different. Can't you see Ria's pain? Why don't you agree?

Samrat : Just understand my point. Ria is hell bent on adopting that 12 year boy who will understand that he is our adopted son and if he never accepts us as his real parents, Ria will be more hurt.

Kalpana : I think you are afraid that you will not able to consider him as your own son. Don't you?

Samrat : yes I am afraid that If I will not able to love him like my own son, it will be unfair to him. At least I am thinking about Ria and boy both unlike you who is marrying Raghav just for your children's sake. You did not think once about Raghav before agreeing to marry him.

Kalpana : What are you saying samrat?

Samrat : Bitter truth. Tell me truth why did you agree to marry Raghav? Because Hiya needs her father and Neel and Hiya deserve a perfect family? Don't you. Where does Raghav come in all these?

Kalpana : Yes . I agree I am marrying Raghav for my children's sake but believe me Samrat I will prove to be a good wife to him.

Samrat : what do you mean by you will prove to be a good wife. You don't love him but you will prepare food for him, arrange his clothes, care for him and his family and satisfy his needs on bed and you are a perfect wife.

Kalpana : samrat.

Samrat : Truth is bitter. Don't do this to yourself and Raghav.

Kalpana : Please try to understand me Samrat. I don't have any option. I don't want to hurt Hiya and Neel. I want their life to be perfect. I don't want to hurt Raghav and believe me we both will not regret marrying each other.

Kalpana hugs Samrat tightly being unaware the fact that she has just broken dreams of a person who is madly in love with her. For him, this marriage is not a compromise but a sacred relation which will bind him to his love for forever. He tightens his grips on anklets he is holding in his hand. It pierces his skin and his hands start bleeding. But he can't feel it as his heart is aching more.

Samrat hugs Kalpana back and whispers in her ears : Try to free yourself those painful memories Kalpi. Forgive yourself. You will be able to live again.

Kalpana still hugging Samrat : How can I? I hurt everyone aai, baba,dada,bhabhi, you, rahul ,ria, purba everyone. My one mistake cost so much. I had seen aai, baba and dada bearing people's taunt for my one mistake. I had seen collapsing bhabhi's dream home in front of my eyes.

Samrat pats her back not knowing what to say.

A tear escapes from eyes of Raghav who is still hiding behind the curtains. Someone knocks on the door . Samrat opens the door. Ria enters into room.

Ria pouts : you both did not run away yet. That is not done. At least, I will be free from u Samrat. Kalpi you are my friend. You should help me to get rid of this jerk .

Kalpana : think again what are you saying Ria. You would not be able to live without this jerk.

Ria makes a face and all burst into laughter except the one who is hiding behind the curtains.

Kalpana, Ria and Samrat leave the room leaving a shattered Raghav behind.

Raghav self thinks why are you punishing me like this Kalpi? I know I committed a mistake maybe a sin but I love u and I can't accept a relation which will be based on compromise. You can't love me then how can I marry you.

Raghav leaves Kalpana's room and goes to Sammy. Raghav does not say a word but Sammy understands that something is wrong as Raghav's eyes are not showing any happiness anymore but they are reflecting pain of his heart and he notices Raghav's hand.

Sammy : what is this Raghav? how did you get hurt?

Raghav : It is nothing Sammy. Let's go.

Sammy and Raghav reach singhania mansion and Raghav heads towards his mother's room. Without any delay, he informs his mother that he does not want to marry Kalpana. Gouri is shocked listening this.

Gouri : what are u saying? You are happy with this marriage sometimes back and now you are saying that you don't want to marry Kalpana? Are u again playing game with that innocent girl? Don't u dare to do this Raghav. I will never forgive u.

Raghav : Mom, Please believe me I love her but how can I think that she will trust me when my own mother is not ready to forget my mistakes. How can she love me when my own mother questions my intention? She does not love me. She is marrying me for Hiya and Neel's sake. She is ready to be my wife but she does not love me. This relation is just a compromise for her. Her love for me is dead.

Gouri : Have u seen dried seeds Raghav? It seems that plants can't grow out of them but little water does wonder. It softens dried seeds and plants grow out. Her love is not dead. It is just sleeping in her heart. Life is giving you a chance to wake up that love and make her yours. Don't miss the chance. You have to water her heart with your love and then you will see the magic. She will love u again.

Raghav : do you really believe she will love me again ?

Gouri. Believe me. She will love u again but I want a promise from you that you will not fake your temper, you will not change yourself. You will be yourself with her.

Raghav : she will run away seeing my temper, mom.

Gouri : No, Raghav. It will be both of your tests. You both have to accept each other the way you are. I know you will pass your test and your love will be stronger than before.

Raghav hugs his mother tightly.

Gouri self thinks I hope you both can win over your past and can start your new life afresh. Raghav your mistake is not small that you will get your love back so soon. You have not broken her heart but her trust also. When will you understand that she is angrier on herself for trusting you? She has forgiven you but she has to forgive herself and only you can help her in this. You both are so alike yet so different. You both are born to be together, perfect for each other.

Marriage day.

In temple, Raghav looks at Kalpana who is wearing maroon bridal lehnga. Ria and jia are accompanying her. Kalpana is looking like an angel. She is walking slowly towards Raghav. Raghav gets lost in her beauty while pakhi notices prem is staring at Jia and Jia is blushing. A smile curves on Pakhi's lips as she sees her brother's love for this girl. She has to do something otherwise her brother will never tell his feelings to Jiya making age gap an excuse. When will he understand that love is beyond all this? Why can't he see the love in Jiya's eyes? Sammy pokes her at her waist and Pakhi glares at him.

Sammy : where are u lost sweetheart when I am here?

Pakhi ; Nothing Sammy. I am thinking about that love is so strange. It does not see anything but It just happens. But we make our life complicated by considering everything except love.

Kalpana and Raghav exchange garlands. They sit on altar. Priest starts rituals and asks them to get up to take rounds. Priest explains the meaning of each round and raghav in his mind takes his own vow for each round.

1^st vow : I will never hurt you again and I will remove all obstacles from your path.

2^nd Vow : I was, I am and I will be always yours in every sense.

3^rd Vow : I will care for your family as mine.

4^th Vow : I am living again because of you only and I will try to make your life beautiful.

5^th Vow : I will not allow god to make me apart from my Kalpana.

6^th Vow : I will wait for your love till eternity. Till then my love will be enough for both of us.

7^th Vow : you will be my wife in all sense only when you will accept me whole heartedly.

Raghav puts vermillion in Kalpana's parting and some vermillion spreads on her nose. Kalpana remembers that her aai used to say that spreading vermillion on nose is symbol of husband's love. Raghav puts Mangalsutra in Kalpana's neck and priest announces them as man and wife. They take blessings of elders. Hiya and Neel hug Kalpana and Trishs hugs Raghav to congratulate them.

Raghav and Kalpana leave for Singhania mansion in Raghav's car with Hiya and Neel. At Singhania Mansion, Pakhi welcomes newlywed with all the rituals. Then she takes Kalpana to Raghav's room and makes her sit on bed. Then she takes Hiya and Neel to their room. Hiya and Neel are shocked to see their room as it looks exactly like their room in Kalpana's home. Raghav enters into their room and asks them how they like the surprise. Hiya and Neel hug him tightly.

Neel innocently asks Raghav : where is mee, uncle? We don't sleep without mee.

Pakhi : Neel, you sleep here. Your mee.

Raghav cuts her between: is coming here in few moments. But you have to do something for me.

Neel asks : What do you want me to do?

Raghav : You have to call me bade papa. I am elder than your dad. So, I am your bade papa.

Neel : Bade papa.

Raghav : now you both give me a hug.

Neel and Hiya hug Raghav tightly. Pakhi smiles seeing this.

In Raghav's room.

Kalpana is feeling restless. She is sitting on bed like a bride. It is their first night and she does not want to disappoint Raghav's expectation as she has promised herself that she will be a good wife. She will not expect anything from him but she will give 100% in this relation but her heart is aching for her children. She knows that Hiya and Neel will not able to sleep without her. She does not know what to do.

Raghav enters into room and sees Kalpana sitting like a bride. He gets hurt as he can clearly see her restlessness for her children but she is sitting like this just to prove herself a good wife. He comes near Kalpana .

Raghav bluntly asks Kalpana: Do you love me Kalpana? Just answer yes or no.

Kalpana does not know what to answer. She lowers her head.

Raghav : Do you know the meaning of marriage Kalpana. If you know its meaning then why are you mocking it by sitting like a statue here when your heart and mind are not here?

Kalpana : Raghav.

Raghav : Just stop it Kalpana. Marriage is union of two souls and two hearts and if you don't love me then this marriage is nothing for me. I will accept this marriage only when you love me. Till then, we don't have any relation except that we are parents of Hiya and Neel.

Kalpana : Don't make things difficult me for Raghav. I have accepted this marriage whole heartedly.

Raghav : But you don't love me and it matters for me. Now don't waste your time here. Neel can't sleep without holding your hand. Neel and Hiya's room is the third room of left side, near Trisha's room.

Kalpana looks at Raghav with new found respect. Raghav looks at her and self thinks soon your eyes show love for me.

Note:

I am sorry for updating it so late and I tried to compensate it by giving a long chapter. I had written it in a hurry. I hope it is not as par. I am sorry for using some degrading words in this ff. I avoid these kinds of words. I believe that every character has its own story. That why I tried to give each character's story.

Now a question :

EMA is ending and it is good news for all ragna/ashna fans .But I don't know what will happen to this forum. I am writing three stories at this time .

1. New ss on ragna.

2. Punishment of love.

3. Mad for each other.

I am little busy these days. So, I will not able to update each SS regularly. If I continue this one in my pace it will take 7-8 chapters to finish. Or do you want me to end this ss with a happy note. I will try to update one of the rests. Please suggest which one to continue apart from this one.
