Chap 16:
Sammy drives Raghav to singhania mansion and with the help of security guard, takes him to his room and make him lay on the bed. Sammy leaves from Raghav's room . Sammy is feeling bad for Raghav . Kalpana moved on her life but his friend is at the same place where he was 10 years ago.If they were not hell bent on taking revenge from Kalpana, Raghav's life would have been different. They wanted to ruin Kalpana but it ruined Raghav's life. Sammy have his family with him but His happiness will be half always as he is also responsible for everything.
Gouri Singhania is upset in her room.She self thinks - Raghav is so unpredictable. What did happen to him that he started drinking. She knows that Raghav drinks. Their home have a bar in it. He was all happy and suddenly after meeting Kalpana, he just started behaving differently. and Reality strikes hard to her. Kalpana is Pakhi's friend. Do Raghav and Sammy know her? But what is her connection with Raghav? Gouri hears footsteps and comes out of her room. She sees Sammy entering into his room. She goes to Raghav's room to check him.
Raghav is lying unconscious on his bed. Gouri runs her fingers through Raghav's hair. She had missed his childhood days. She did not know her own son well. She wants to see her son happy but happiness is far away from him. She can sense it but Raghav never allows her to see through his heart. If she had not decided to leave her husband and son, Raghav's life would have been different. She had cared for her self respect and left her husband and son as her husband doubted on her . She knew that it was a misunderstanding created by someone who were close to his husband as her husband used to love her a lot. But at that moment, she was mad in rage as her loyality and her love were questioned by the person whom she loved or still loves madly.She did not try to prove herself innocent and left him and his son as he reminded her that His son would not go with her. And when her anger came down , she realised her mistake
and came back but it was too late and her arrival was welcome by her husband's dead body. She became the sole witness of her husband's brutal murder. She was attacked and she lost her memory. Her son had grown up without any guidance and love. she closes her eyes and prays god to give her some way to make her son happy. Gouri is about to leave Raghav's room when his voice stops her in midway. Raghav is murmuring - 'Please Kalpana don't do this to me. Please don't go away from my life. I can't live without u.'Raghav's murmuring confirms Gouri's doubt. Kalpana is somewhere responsible for Raghav's condition.
Gouri spends her night in restlessness. She had met Kalpana twice and everytime She was impressed by Kalpana. But Kalpana is responsible for her son's pain. Raghav will never tell her. Sammy will not betray Raghav.Pakhi will follow Sammy's footsteps. she needs answers and she knows who will give her that answers.
In Kalpana's home, Kalpana is making up her mind to tell Raghav and hiya the truth as soon as possible. The more she will wait, more weak she will become.Kalpana looks at the dress and earrings which Hiya and neel gifted her.on the way of their returning to home from Restaurant, Neel told her that Mr. Singhania helped them to choose her dress and earrings. Raghav and hiya had met already. Hiya who does not make friends easily have accepted Raghav as his new friend. Neel told her all these.Blood is thicker than water. Hiya is unaware of the truth but her heart can sense the relationship between Raghav and her. She remembers her both meeting with Raghav. She had learnt new meaning of betrayal from him. Were their intimate moments also part of his revenge? How could anyone act so well ? She has been asking this
question to herself from last 10 years but she does not get any answers. She looks at Hiya and smiles. For her, Hiya is the proof of her love, her chahat.and neel is her sweetheart. Neel as usual is sleeping clutching her hand tightly and hiya is sleeping peacefully.
Next Day,
It is sunday and Kalpana has taken a leave from her NGO also. She wants to spend time with her family but her aai has decided to go to chawl to meet her old friends and Neel and Hiya has decided to accompany their aaji. Her Dada is as usual busy in some office work. she stayed back at home to take care of her pregnant bhabhi.Kalpana and amrita are sitting on the couch of hall. Kalpana has taken her aai's duty and pursuing her bhabhi to have fruits.suddenly, Kalpana receives a call from the watchman of main-gate that a lady wants to meet her. Kalpana
tells him to send her in.
Kalpana is surprised to see Mrs. Gouri Singhania in her house. Mrs. Gouri Singhanis is blind in her rage. She is infront of the girl who is responsible for Raghav's sadness.
Kalpana - Mrs. Singhania, you are here?
Gouri - Kalpana, I am here for some answers.
Kalpana looks at her with a shocked expression and Gouri's anger crosses all her limits seeing Kalpana's expression.
Gouri - Please don't pretend Kalpana. Now stop your drama ? why did u betray my son? you are living happily with ur family and my son is living his life alone becoz of u?
Kalpana is shocked to utter anything. Again she is accused of something she have not done. But she is not going to take all these nonsense anymore from anyone.
Kalpana looks straight into the eyes of Gouri and says - Mrs. Singhania, today you have proved that you are Mr. Raghav Singhania's mother. you people really love to accuse others and I think I am your most favorite pick.and you are talking about betrayal, ask your son. He had thought me what is betrayal ?
Saying so, Kalpana leaves from there. She is hurt and angry. Her wounds are again reopened by Singhania clan.
Mrs. singhania is shocked by Kalpana's calm but rude behavior.She self thinks Kalpana said that Raghav betrayed her but how is that possible. She is oblivious to the fact that she is scrutinised by someone. Amrita was listening all these but did not say any word till now. She is sweet, simple and shy. But today hearing Gouri's accusation for Kalpana, her blood is boiling. She calls Kalpana di as she is her sister-in-law but Kalpana is younger to her,she is like her younger sister. She knew her from childhood. She has seen her family and Kalpana's sufferings.She remembers all the taunts Kalpana and her family faced as Kalpana is an unmarried mother. Today they had everything that no one dare to look upon them. But the price they paid is far more greater. Her husband is no more the same careless, happy go lucky pakya, he is shrewd businessman prakash yadav. Her sister in law fears to trust, She is happy but her
innocence is lost. She remembers her wounded brother (Amrita is Samrat's elder sister) and Raghav's hand in it, She loses her cool. Mrs. singhania is about to leave when Amrita calls her. Her voice is calm but fierce.
Amrita : Mrs. Singhania, You have insulted Kalpana enough but don't u dare to say anything against her again? and you are talking about ur son. He is lucky that my aai considers him as her son and Kalpana's heart is big otherwise my husband would have killed him for betraying Kalpana. Your son had faked his love for Kalpana and then betrayed her. He did try to ruin her life in every possible way. But we are lucky that our Kalpana is strong and she faced all the odds of her life. She is happy because she is not full of hatred. She is happy becoz it is her decision. We don't have anything against your son and we will never have becoz he does not deserve our hatred also.
Gouri leaves from there. she was angry while going yo Kalpana's house but during her returning, she is a broken mother who have just faced her son's reality. Kalpana's look was piercing as she was saying truth but how could her own blood betray anyone? and what the other girl was talking that her son does not deserve their hatred. how could it possible. She reaches home and goes staright to Raghav's room. Raghav is busy on his laptop. Gouri calls him and he looks upon at his mother. Gouri looks at Raghav and asks him to look into her eyes and answer her question truthfully. She asks Raghav : had u betrayed Kalpana?
Raghav does not know what to answer. He did betray Kalpana but he had betrayed himself more. His love for Kalpana was always real but he himself was unaware of that. He is not sure how to make his mom understand everything. Will his mom be able to understand him? or his mom will also abandon him like Kalpana. Gouri looks at hesitating raghav, he does not lower his eyes but he does not look at her straight. She gets her answers. She slaps Raghav hard.
Gouri is crying : how could you betray an innocent girl Raghav? Why did you do that? and I questioned Kalpana . I hurt the girl who was already hurt by my son's betrayal.
Raghav just keeps mum . He is not silent because he does not have anything to say. But he just does not want hurt his mother more. He really wants to ask his mother what was his mistake when she left him with his father? What was his mistake that he was left alone to fight with this selfish world all alone. What was his mistake that he was none to guide him? What was his mistake that he was not able to differentiate between right and wrong as there were none to teach him that. He does not utter a single word. He would have questioned her if he had met her 10 years ago. But today he knows the pain of a wrong decision. It does not hurt others only but ourselves also. He had read his mother's silentapology for leaving him in her eyes many times. One's life is not result of his/her fate but it is result of his/her decisions only. His shattered life is prove of that. His destruction which started with his mother's one wrong decision was deepend with Kapoor's greedy decision and finished with his own wrong decision.
At Kalpana's house,
After confrontation with Raghav's mother, Kalpana goes to her father's picture.
Kalpana : sorry baba. I can't fulfill your last wish. I am so sorry. Singhania clan does not deseve to
be related with my daughter. May be Raghav is hiya's biological father but I don't think Hiya could ever be able to consider him as her first hero. He does not deserve Hiya's love and respect. I will never allow his shadow on my daughter. I know I can't be her father but she is better without Raghav beside her.

Note :
In my last note, I just tried to explain relationship between Raghav, hiya and Trisha. I did not mean to compare them as It is impossible to compare them.
Raghav's side of story is still pending.
Kalpana's decision not to disclose Hiya's truth to raghav may be shocking but I think it is natural. she does not trust him.
I have wrote this chapter in hurry as I am going out of town in this weekend. Hope it is not too bad.
