Kalpana lay on her bed reading "The Fault in Our Stars". She didn't know why, but it really touched her heart. Maybe it was the concept. Or maybe it was because it's a love story, she was fond of love stories.
A couple of times, her eyes filled with tears while others she just chuckled.
Finally, putting the book away an hour later, she grabbed a pillow and lay back thinking of things.
She thought back to her family who she had ran away from. "I'm just another girl who ran away.." Kalpana murmured. "I'm just another girl who has brought shame to her family."
Tears rolled down her innocent face. "But then why do I feel like I have done the right thing by following my heart?"
She thought back to Raghav and his encouraging words over the phone.. He had told her that she was a wonderful actress. He was an amazing actor, and he had told her that. Surely he wasn't lying when he praised her.
Wiping her tears away, Kalpana picked up a newspaper from her bedside table and circled a spot on it with a red pen.
She smiled a little to herself. "Kalpi, you can do it. Tomorrow is the day."

The next morning, Vitthal called Paakhi. "Paakhi" he pleaded. "Please tell me that Kalpi isn't in Mumbai."
Paakhi replied, "I am sorry Uncle, but it's true, your daughter is in Mumbai."
"Okay, thanks for letting me know beta" Vitthal responded.
"No problem Uncle, anytime" Paakhi said before hanging up.
Vitthal turned to face Kamla angrily. He grabbed her arm and shoved her down on the bed. "You are by no means going to Mumbai!"
"I am going" Kamla answered coldly.
"You have to listen to me, I have spoiled you Kamla, letting you do whatever you wanted." But this shall last no longer" Vitthal said as he looked around for something.
"Ah!" he said pulling out Kamla's flight ticket from her suitcase.
"Look Vitthal.." Kamla started to say, but before she could finish, Vitthal had shredded the ticket into pieces write before her eyes.
"Vitthal!" Kamla cried out.
"Just shut up!" Vitthal yelled frustratedly. "Go make bhindi, I think that's what I'll eat today."
"Also, Paakhi and Sammy are coming over today, so it better be good."
Tears rolled down Kamla's face as she looked at her husband's changed behavior.
Vitthal's face softened only a
little seeing this. "I am sorry Kamla but I'll not spare whoever comes in the way of my rajkumaari, be it even you."
Kamla's lips parted in shock.
"And besides I shouldn't have to be telling her mother how Paak and Pavitra our daughter is, she should already know."

"Sach?" Kalpana exclaimed. She had just auditioned for a show, and the produce told her that she was one of the best girls so far.
"Si Senorita" the producer said while chuckling. "You have an amazing talent."
Kalpana smiled and said thanks. "Well, we have more auditions and we will certainly contact you if we find you suitable for the role" the assistant Milli responded, eager to send Kalpana out.
She didn't like that Producer Ashok Kapoor was getting impressed by Kalpana. A so called talented girl who was from some sort of place called Bhopal.
"Okay" Kalpana replied shaking hands with both of them before turning to leave.

Kalpana had no idea what to do the rest of the day. She was feeling quite nervous, wondering whether she will be able to get the role or not. "Kalpi, you'll be fine" she muttered, encouraging herself.
Just then, she got Pakhya's phone call. "What's up?" Pakhya asked Kalpi.
"I just auditioned for a role" Kalpana replied brightly.
"Sach? Well, fingers crossed" Pakhya responded cheerfully.
"Thanks bhaiya" Kalpana replied. "It finally looks like I am getting one step closer to my dreams."
