Reposting my post... in reply to someone - thoughts about hug scene mainly.
Kalpi is still a bit shy, reserved which could explain part of the awkwardness but also Rachna seems uncomfortable doing romantic scenes and giving romantic expressions in general not just for today's hug.
Also editing is not top notch in EMA which diminishes the overall effect of the moment.
I have heard from other actors how much they dislike doing these rain scenes. Rachna also seemed to be shivering in the cold. I doubt they have time to do several retakes and have to manage with whatever they have so a combination of things that affects the outcome.
@ Anum - answering your question here - I think Kalpi should have rested her head on his chest which is where she reaches comfortably like in the store room hug. But she aimed to have her face over his shoulders and missed it, rain, running and standing on tippy toes didnt work well in her favor. Not sure if it as a one take shot.
Also the spoiler rain pic seemed to make it look like it was night time. In broad daylight, sunny day, my neighbor's dog growls louder than that thunder...
Like Sahana said, I did not want the thunder to be an excuse for Kalpi to hug. Seemed lame.

Hey Julie, I was thinking maybe the focus on her footsteps while walking towards Raghav after wiping her hair could be mean she is taking steps towards him literally and figuratively, of opening up to him, leading up to confession eventually but for now not she's shying away from him, giving him rights on her without verbally expressing herself... I think. She did not run away when he pulled her to him after breakfast nor did she leave soon as he got on the phone. She knew his intentions clearly. 😉
Also, she did kind of give him a 'look' too when he was in the kitchen and that was not solely because Mr. Raghav Singhania was in the kitchen if you can catch my drift😃
