Chapter 54

In wedding Hall

Everything is chaotic at the wedding hall with Kamla ma, Paakhi, Tania's mother trying to fix everything yelling at their husbands for not doing anything significant. Amrita is enjoying the drama and recording all this for laughs later...

Amrita POV: Thank you Pakhiya...had I not been pregnant that would have been me...Karma's awesome! I can't wait for next occasion when I show this recording to all...bet if I upload on You Tube it will get a million hits...

Paakhi: Kalpi...where are you? When you are around everything sails smoothly...

Meanwhile at Singhania Home

Kalpi wakes up to find Raghav's hand around her waist protectively...she turns and kisses his forehead. "I am so lucky to have you in my life...God please keep problems away from us". She wakes up and goes toward the bathroom.

R POV: I wish your prayers come true...because I can't imagine my life without you and to think how much you and your love has changed me...my personality...If any of the guys hear me...they will admit me in mental ward...

Raghav who was pretending to be asleep since he was staring at his sleeping wife beforehand wakes up and rushes to join her wife for some morning adrenaline rush...

Breakfast Table

Kalpi is cooking parathas for her family and after licking their fingers...Raghav gets a call for an important meeting.

R: I will meet you and mom directly at the wedding reception. Stay safe and both of you don't over exert yourselves...

G: I thought I was the mother here...(faking sadness)

K(drama mood): see now you made Ma sad...now we will need to go out eat golgappas, stall tea, colorful icecream and then handle the wedding chaos...hehe while hugging Ma...

R: Drama queens...(rolling eyes)

Gauri instructs the driver to take the car out while tells the maid to keep their outfits along with jewelry in car while she goes to her room telling Kalpi to get ready as she is too..

Gauri's Room

Gauri is talking to someone on phone...

G: We will reach the hospital within 20 minutes...if Mumbai traffic doesn't deceive...Make sure you tell her she is perfect and if there are any glitches in her report...give me a call and we will talk over it tomorrow and I will decide how to reveal them to Kalpi...

Doctor: But patient has a right to her information...

G: All respect...but Kalpi is my daughter...I will tell her in a way she doesn't break or go in depression...

D: But...

G: you as a doctor take an oath to protect and save lives...she will go in depression if not dealt with carefully and along with her reside the happiness of many and they will be damaged alongside...so please...

D: Okay Madam...You come...

Car

Kalpi: Driver uncle...can't you drive faster...the preparations are going AWOL...I have 25 miscalls...

G: Kalpi..give me your phone...switches it off..

K: Maaa...

G: Kalpi...we are going to the hospital...I know you and know you will keep going in mini sadness periods until there is proof that you are perfectly well!

K(shocked): But ma...what about Raghav...he isn't here...

G: I am...and I already took an appointment...doctor said it will take 15 minutes...and you will get peace of mind for the rest of the time and (taking Kalpi's hands in hers) I cannot see you sad...I worry about you too as much as you worry about me...

Kalpi lunges onto Gauri giving her a hug..."you are the best...I love you!"

G(teasingly): More than my Chintu?

K(shining eyes): don't tell him that but Yes heheh...

Hospital

Doctor takes Kalpi's blood test and endometrial biopsy...She gets her results within 15 minutes...

Doctor: To gauri...Is this a joke? Are you making fun of my knowledge or degree...where are the cameras?

G and K are baffled...

Meanwhile In the dark mysterious house

Manisha on phone: What...and where you doing...sleeping...idiot...

M POV: she throws the phone on the floor smashing it...You will not win...uggh that stupid woman...I need to contact the doctor and warn her not to tell them about the birth control in her system or my plan will fail...

Hospital

G: What are you saying?

D: She cannot be pregnant and she knows that...

Kalpi on verge of crying and Gauri hissing like an angry mother...

G: How dare...

D: She is on birth control...

Kalpi and Gauri are shocked...before the doctor could say anything a nurse comes in with a phone...

Nurse: You have an important call Dr.

Dr.( taking the phone): Don't say anything except yes or no or else I will kill your entire family... Did you tell them about the pill?

Dr. Lies: No...

Manisha: Are they there?

Dr.: Yes...

M: Make an excuse and kick them out or else... And never tell anyone about the pill...

Gauri and Kalpi can watch the expression on the doctor's face and when she kicks them out denying the pill...both can't help but feel something is amiss..

Gauri indicates Kalpi to be quiet and act normal...

In car too both act indifferent each wondering who and what is happening but one thing was for sure that someone definitely doesn't want Kalpi pregnant...

Wedding Hall

Sammy is babysitting Aryan who is eating an icecream or more like feeding his clothes...wedding clothes...

Paakhi sees this and screams at the same time Kalpi and Gauri arrive...

K: I got it...and she fixes Aryan clothes in 2 minutes...

Tania's Mother comes running "someone tore Tania's dress and she is saying it is bad omen and is having second thoughts...

K: I got it I have a stapler in my purse...

P: Stapler...

K: You got better ideas...

Amrita: besides, the dress will be off her before she knows it..

Everyone is stunned and blushing with Amrita's comment who utters, "It is the pregnancy brain and hormones..."

P:" Kalpi you are a life savior...we all would be titanic if you weren't here...

Raghav comes from behind hugging his wife, "that is so true...she is the best!"

Rahul in his shelwani comes and pulls Kalpi, " I need my best friend now...go find a pillow Raghav...It is my day not yours.

Raghav: Let go of my wife...

Rahul: My best friend(irking Raghav on purpose)

Kalpi: I am going to see the brides...

Prem: Haha...you both got dissed and ditched...

Sammy: Dude...shhh...or you will end up with a black eye...
