Well it's maybe true to some point and it depends on the person too. For some it's a big deal to find out about their owners as to have handful info just in case of any issue that may arise in the future. But since Kamla and her family kind of knew Singhania a little more than the rest, I thought if not enough, then at least they should have known how many folks are living in his family and who are they?

Maybe it's a different story in India, but in the states here, I feel it's mandatory to know exactly who are you dealing with.

This is what I think would happen:

Raghav would be like Kamla Ma, she's not hiding anything. She's definitely hiding a SomeONE. And Kamla would look confused and he would be like. "Ab apne mooh tareef nahiin karna chahta but Kalpi mere pyaar main pagal hai" And After Kamla Ma is about to faint with the news, he can add "Aur iss sab ki shuruwaat maine ki. Main Kalpi ko bahut chahta hoon."

After hearing this revelation, Kamla Ma will just faint for reals. Raghav being so generous and kind will take her and lie her down. He would then leave from there thinking she needs time to think things through, while he goes to look for Kalpi. Then Kamla Ma will wake up in few hours, thinking that it was all a dream and Raghav baba can never like Kalpi in that way. And then she would go about her oblivious way and leave RagNa alone for the time being.
