Addicted to Work
All of Kalpana's friends told her that she was absolutely addicted to work and she never wanted to do anything fun in life. Yes, it was true that she never wanted to have any fun for the rest of her life but she hadn't always been that way. She also wasn't addicted to work. She forced herself to keep working even late into the night.
Every evening, all the workers would leave but Kalpi alone would stay behind working. Sammy was the only one who could see her pain and he tried his best to be a good friend to her but Kalpi's pain was too much for a friend to simply make it go away.
Just a month ago, Kalpi had told Sammy that she was in love with Raghav. Sammy had been so happy for her. Unfortunately, before the two could figure out a way for Kalpi to propose, Raghav announced that he was in love with Maya. Kalpi had been shocked. Sammy had really felt bad for Kalpi but she told him to not say anything to Raghav.
She and Raghav had become good friends while working in the office together. Raghav had figured out that Kalpi loved him and he sometimes felt like he loved her too. Unfortunately, he had many business rivals and the most dangerous was Prem. He could not afford to lose Kalpi over them. He had told Maya to play this game with him for a while before Kalpi left the job herself. Instead, he had noticed that she was working more and more. He always sneered at Kalpi when he walked by but the moment he saw her through the glass walls of his cabin he felt like killing himself. He was having second-thoughts on staying away from Kalpi. Wouldn't she better off with his support than being heart broken? 'No' he thought. She would eventually forget him. But his business rivals would remain for life.
Raghav had told Sammy not to tell anything Kalpi. Therefore, Sammy was stuck in the middle not knowing what to do.
Paakhi had stopped drooling over Raghav since the day he had left her alone in the mask party. She had also noticed Raghav and Kalpi's relation. She had to admit that it was beautiful. She felt mad at Raghav for not only ditching her but Kamla Ma's daughter as well. Paakhi thought of Raghav as a person who played around with girls' hearts.
Then one day Sammy had an idea. Kalpi had forbid him to tell Raghav anything. Raghav had forbid him to tell Kalpi anything. But they had not forbid him to tell anyone else. He had seen the change in Paakhi. He knew she would help reunite Kalpi and Raghav together if that meant her friend Kalpi would be happy.
One day, Sammy asked her to help him but she refused saying that she didn't want to help a person like Raghav. Sammy tried to explain but she was not willing to listen anymore.
Sammy had to take matters into his own hands. He would get close to Kalpi whenever Raghav was around and see Raghav's reaction.
