So, here I am, with yet another post about the episode lol. Alright, so despite this track being too fast for my liking, I think today's episode was cute. It was definitely unexpected because I thinking where the whole revenge went? Raghav seemed to have forgotten that the Kapoors existed (at least momentarily). However, there are two things I want to discuss about this episode: Significance of Kalpi's similar dress and Kalpi's concern with the status difference.
First, Why did I bring up the dress? Yes, It's the similar dress she wore on the first day to the office! I was shocked at her dress choice yesterday but didn't especially want to make a post about that as I was still very confused, so I waited till today to confirm my doubts. There is a similar dress that Kalpi wore when she entered Raghav's world officially! Yes, she had crossed paths with him before but this was the first time when they were going to work together. This was also the day when Kalpi saved Raghav from the chandelier falling on him. Do you see a pattern? Kalpi tends to save Raghav (without noticing) from a lot of troubles. I don't want to go in details about that but I just want to point out one thing that I liked about the confession. Yes, I was very upset that the confession was rushed. But that's alright. Now, I can see the point (sort of). Here it is: When Raghav was going to draw the final straw, and make Pakhi confess, he had a strategy in mind (there are many theories but I am guessing it was to accept her love so he could ruin Kapoors later on through her). However, that strategy was forgotten when he slowly realized the depth of how he felt. It was so overwhelming that he couldn't even stop himself from speaking out loud that he liked her. Yes, again, I was VERY shocked. So, here Kalpi had saved him from making a mistake by accepting Pakhi or using her to take revenge. This was the most important part he needed in order to execute his plans but she stopped him - again! That was the one thing that I actually liked from there.
This was the significant of the dress to me. It was the day when Kalpi had been appointed as his guardian, who would stop him from making any dire mistakes. What could it possibly signify now? Maybe the fact that it's a start of something else? Something new and more sacred? This time she has come to heal his pain away, and mend his broken and disappointed heart? I have been thinking. Raghav has shown to be very to the people he cares about from the time he was young. Once he accepts that he cares, he really tries. I think he is trying to do the same right here. I am not going to lie. This sudden change really shocked me. Not going to lie, I wanted him to be a little more reluctant to accept his feelings so we could see his dilemma as well (instead of just reading between the lines). I was expecting him to be total Kadhoos today but he wasn't. I only hope that EMA writers have the maturity to deal with this track. Because if they handle this well, then this could become such a beautiful journey and a memorable milestone in both of their relationship.
Let's also not forget the salwar kameez she wore during the field trip she took with Raghav for the project 😆
Another thing I want to bring up is the Kalpi's reluctance. She is very flattered, and she doesn't know how to react. As I have mentioned it before, she just can't believe that someone like him is actually giving her importance. As a lot of people have mentioned, she always had to fight for the attention she got from everyone. However, this time, she didn't have to try so hard. This shocks her. She is nervous and doesn't know how to react. The first thing she brings up is the status difference because she has always been reminded of that in every step of the way of her life. Even Raghav himself (in an attempt to push her away) reminded her of her status. However, she stood with dignity because she knows how to fight. She always has fought so she is familiar with that notion. But what happens when it's something that you don't need to fight? What happens if it's merely that someone loves you? She has never even had enough attention from the people she really cared about (except her lovely dad of course!) so she doesn't know how to react to this. She also may be scared that she may actually want this, and this may be taken away from her (like a lot of other things). She hasn't thought that way of Raghav because she never thought that this was possible, since everyone always looked down on her due to her socio-economic status. I am very glad that she brought this up because it is one of the major questions a girl in her situation should have! Her whole life, she wanted to become a Memsaab and now a rich guy (and it's Raghav Singhania of all people) tells her that he loves her - a guy who had always just yelled at her and never let her know of his feelings. Her dilemma is legitimate.
I like their character dynamic: One has a lot of love to give. The other needs a lot of love to heal. This is what makes them so perfect for each other. I just hope that the CVs deal with it maturely and actually show Raghav helping her out when she needs it in order to become independent (mostly emotionally). I feel like maybe the CVs wanted Raghav to help her achieve her dreams in some way, that's why they showed such a rushed confession? I hope that they don't forget that she still has a dream, and I desperately hope that they only show light-hearted scene right now. Raghav needs to first win her favor and make her realize that she is special. Then only would she believe that he's just not being delusional about this. Make her believe!
Special Mention: Sammy and Raghav scene - That was really cute. For the first time, I saw how close the two were and how Raghav genuinely accepted and wanted to do something for Kalpi. I also liked the teasing by Sammy. That was hilarious! And I like how he became an adviser when Raghav needed it. I am glad that Raghav isn't a know it all when it comes to girls lol.
Kalpi and Raghav's office scene - More than the phone call that Raghav made to force Kalpi to come, I liked their first interaction in the office in this episode. I liked how Raghav held her and said, 'look at me!' because she was the one person who he could not bear to not look into his eyes when he talked. She always also the first person who was so open about her point of views to him, so genuine. After all, that's one thing he liked about her, no? I also liked the Genda phool change he said. It showed that he is willing to change for her, even though originally he probably didn't even care about the status. But it was important to her. He was willing to show that. Also, it shows Kalpi how serious he is, because little things matter to a girl like her.
Overall, it was a pretty good episode, RagNa wise. As I said, it all seems a bit rushed but once I tried to put myself on this bandwagon, I was able to see it some things. I still have tons to add but this is already so long and I am tired 😆
So, let me know what you thought of the epi and this development? Are the CVs going to use this to progress with the story of Kalpi's dreams? What happened to Raghav's revenge, and how will he proceed about that now? Did he consider the fact that Kapoors may use Kalpi against him? Or has he accepted it and made a promise to always protect her? Or, is he too much in love at the moment to even think about all of that? 😆
A/N: I realized that it's not the same dress lol. Guess the EMA directors are influencing me and I am not paying much attention to details? haha. But the significance still stands. Whenever she wears like a typical salwar kameez, usually something significant always happens (She saved Raghav three times - one time from the chandelier, another time from the leeches where he realized her significance to him, and another time [this time] for their new beginning).
