I am a newcomer to this forum and to EMA. Thanks to you all I managed to piece together the story of raghav and kalpana. As the raghav -kalpana relationship progresses I put down my own thoughts on their beautifully unravelling story .

Raghav Singhania

A tough exterior hides a soft heart . He believes himself to be a ruthless go getter. Behind this facade are years of hurt and pain. One which he does not wish to disclose to the world. He will not allow anyone to penetrate his shield.

Pretending to love Pakhi, being nice to her, giving her his disarming smile- is the easiest thing for him. For Pakhi is only a pawn in his larger business goal.

Kalpi, on the other hand is different. She has constantly touched his softer -more genuine side. He likes that. Unlike all the people he has met, who take advantage of him or use him for his power and money-Kalpi is true to him and herself. In the sham that he sees around him, she is the only truth. She speaks her mind, she cares for him, she can penetrate his shield and reach his vulnerable self - the only one in his life who is completely genuine in her interactions with him.

Therein lies the conflict- he wants her close to him, he doesn't want to let her go. But he is afraid to allow her to step into his life. His heart is swinging between caring for her and wanting to be close to her to being scared of exposing his vulnerability and being hurt ...

Right now he is only grappling with his conflicting emotions. The realisation that he loves her, and cannot live without her in his life, is yet to dawn.

Kalpi
She has to prove her worth in this world, to herself and her mother. She is confident of her capabilities. But Raghav Singhania is constantly undermining her efforts. She respects him. She understands that there is a soft side to him. One which only she has seen. She doesn't understand , though, the reason for his extreme harshness towards her. Everytime he hurts her with his harsh words, she wants to walk away, not wanting him to destroy her pride and self respect.Despite his harshness, her heart is giving her other messages- he, his presence disturbs her. She hasn't understood yet, that its because he knows that she is THE one who has touched his heart time and again, that he wants to keep her at a distance.


Raghav and Kalpi are destined to be together. Their paths will continue to cross. They will continue to hurt each other -till they acknowledge their feelings .

That the mighty Raghav Singhania may love her, or that she too could love him is a thought that hasn't crossed Kalpis mind yet.

The day Kalpi realises her love for him, she will put him, his thoughts, his feelings above everything else.

The day Raghav realises his love for Kalpi- and acknowledges it to her, all his pain and hurt of many years will be wiped out.

These two lovers have hurdles of their own mind to battle. There are also hurdles of their background and of their families- the whimsical tantrum throwing Pakhi, the Kapoor clan and Kamlama herself, all of which will come in the way of their union .

Its going to be a beautiful journey of two people who try to reach out to each other despite the hurdles to become one.
