Part -2

Kalpana silently watched the girls going gaga over a stranger drooling and swooning over his looks. She opened a book and started reading, in no mood to entertain stupid discussions with Pakhi. This interview means a lot to her, she is attending for a prestigious company who are paying a good stipend during internship with a promise of absorbing into the company on successful completion. She felt a bit nervous though she knew the interview is just a formality and being the topper she'll get placement as per the MOU between the company and college. After an hour she was called for the interview.

"May I come in Sir", she asked gently and walked inside hearing a yes".

Kalpi stared at the man with shock, though for a moment and quickly composed herself. Rest of the interview went on well as he grilled Kalpi to his satisfaction. She couldn't help admire the intelligence and sharpness of the man sitting in front of her while he busied checking her certificates. Her thoughts came to abrupt end hearing his stern tone. "God, this is so boring...do you know anything else than books, Miss Jadhav" he asked going through Kalpi's mark sheets. Kalpana who was always celebrated for her performance felt like insulted for the same...she controlled her fury and stayed calm. Without paying any heed to her, he continued..."You owe me a coffee for this boredom and head ache Ms.Jadhav, get me one". Kalpana wanted to slap him hard and walk away from the room, but she knew how important the job is for to do so. She controlled the raising fury as so much is at stake "With pleasure Sir, skill test is a norm but I never heard of campus placements for coffee shops, indeed you are different, looking for an engineering graduate to serve coffee" she replied in a controlled tone. For the first time The Raghav Singhania was taken aback...it took him a minute to absorb her words and smirked slightly grasping the underlying satire in her reply. But he is too sharp for her than she thought. "Of course Ms.Jadhav, I am hiring you to serve coffee for me...personally, don't you like to work?? Not to worry I'll pay you handsome" he said mockingly. That's it; his words broke the thin thread of control she is holding and her anger increased manifolds remembering the insults she received from childhood. "Sir you might be used to people kneeling down in front of you taking your crap, but I am not one and I don't intend to be...If you are filthy rich hire someone else to make coffee, not me" she snapped him angrily. "Do you think you don't deserve serving coffee or you fear you are born one for that", he asked coldly. Before she could retort, they were interrupted by loud knock on the door and canteen boy walked with coffee and snacks. Rest of the interview passed pretty quickly and Kalpi left the room after ten minutes still burning with anger.

Raghav's lips curled into slight smile after she left the room ...Even today she was like the little kitten once he has known, teased and admired he sighed fondly, remembering little Kalpi !!

P.S. Please leave your comments and I don't mind even receiving tamatar aur jhuthe but no rotten eggs...lol
