Part - 9

"Get Ms. Jadhav on line, I need to discuss about the pending report" said Raghav for the 4^th or 5^th time in the last couple of hours. "What a brilliant way to conceive the emptiness caused by her absence" she murmured. Poor Snigdha forgot the count of calls she made to Kalpi in the last two days for XYZ reasons. Raghav told Sammy to give week days leave for Kalpi and now he is missing her badly. It has become his routine to stare at her through CCTV, if possible directly, getting into arguments so that he could spend some time with her...Kalpi has become a potent drug without her life has turned miserable. His feelings for Kalpi are unnamed and neither has he wanted to; all he knew is, Kalpi is his lifeline and he wants to keep her around by hook or crook. He badly wanted to cancel the leave and call her back to catch a glimpse of her but he knew she is not well; apart from the injury he wanted Kalpi to rest for a while as she is putting extra working hours, off late.

Snigdha connected Kalpi's call to Raghav and sighed with relief as day is nearing to end. Somewhere she felt all his reasons are silly and he is fishing random reasons to speak with Kalpi. Lately she understood that her boss is doing everything intentionally, she know Raghav better than this for the last one year; her boss might be Khadoos and not so friendly type but he won't fuss over trivial things. But with Kalpi, he goes to extremes in arguments even on trivial matters and she has seen him staring at Kalpi too. Though she couldn't figure out the exact reason, she felt Raghav has feelings for Kalpi ??

From the first day itself she is fond of Kalpi, that has grown with every interaction and she doesn't want the poor girl to hurt more. She always respected Raghav for his professional demeanour and no nonsense attitude but of late she is equally mad at his behaviour towards Kalpi. She has noticed Kalpi trying to put extra effort to keep her cool and not to break down in front of Raghav. She learnt from Pakhi that Raghav, Kalpi & Pakhi know each other from childhood and Kalpi has good rapport with Raghav than Pakhi, but she couldn't figure out what went wrong for her boss to turn extra strict with Kalpi Though the poor girl made peace with his arrogance and indifference his lenient and extra sweet behaviour towards Pakhi is hurting her deep inside, she thought.

Snigdha's wandering thoughts broke with intercom ring, she picked up the call, it was Raghav on the other side and hearing his ply she hissed "Gosh not again"

Kalpi's POV:

"Damn it, how many times will this Khadoos disturb my day off" she hissed disconnecting Raghav's call. In the last two days, he called her more than dozen times for XYZ reasons and most of them are indeed very pretty. Though she was happy to hear his voice, she couldn't figure out the reason for her happiness. "Why the hell, I am feeling relieved to hear that Khadoos, he didn't even asked about my injuries" she fumed. "Is he having any special feelings for me" she thought, though for a split moment and immediately snapped herself for the wandering thoughts..."OMG Kalpi, what are you thinking, how the hell you think Khadoos has feelings for you after taking his crap on daily basis, he is a damn jerk" hissed her mind. "Wait, he did cared for you, he helped in saving the chawl, guided you in clearing the results and, and didn't you see how much care and concern he has for you" asked her heart. "If he cares so much, why he detests and treats you like trash" her mind snapped.

Though Kalpi has seen his care and pain, she doesn't want to accept that Raghav cares for her...she can handle his anger and ruthlessness but not his concern; Though a part of her is cheering with Raghav's little affection thinking she got her childhood buddy back, her practical mind is sceptical with the sudden change. "I don't hate you damn it, I..." his words kept playing in her mind for the last two days trying to fill the words; she could only think of "like / love" but why the hell he would like / love me?? She asked herself remembering his numerous insults and arrogant behaviour. "god Kalpi, what you got yourself into, throw him away from your mind" she tried to calm herself, but unknowingly he started occupying more of her with each passing day !!
