Are these people serious!! Most ridiculous attitude I have seen towards work. You don't reach the top by jumping there...you have to take small steps. Being educated is only part of it. It does not entitle you to luxuries in life. Kamla's and vithals's arrogance in how great their daughter is, is sickening and I think their pride is rather snobbish.

My dad is a self made millionaire, when he first came to the US he cleaned offices after his morning job.

I hold in Biology b.s. Degree with honors working my way towards med school.

I take care part of my fathers business and I have done everything!

Even cleaned after homeless people

My own brother has worked as a waiter.

My father still doesn't mind getting down and dirty.

The fact that kamla thought it was better to cry, and beg a job for her daughter rather than let her make her way to the top ruined the episode for me and deviates heavily from the message of the show.

Poor or rich, hardwork is the only way to succeed, not being egoistic.

I do not disagree with ur post...

I am disappointed by the fact, tha Kalpi as well joined in, rather then placing emphasis on her self-respect.. and let her start from where she got...
As I mentioned n number of times earlier.. "Thoda Thoda Thoda Kar Ke.. Bohot Sur Jaana Hai.." is the title song... they want direct asaman..

Is your father's name Santok Grewal? He also started out cleaning office buildings for a living.

Ya, Kamla seems sooo desperate to not see Kalpi doing a less prestigious work to the point where she'll beg Rahgav to give a job in his office now. A lot of people, especially in their twenties work in a restaurant/retail/babysitting, etc. at least once. This is not an uncommon thing. Kalpi is quite young & still has quite a bit of time ahead of her to work her way up anyway. Just because she is a waitress now doesn't mean she is gonna be a waitress for the rest of her life.

Very well said (m srry i don't know ur name) but every word u said is a substantial evidence to the snobbish nature and poor mentality of Kamla.. how can she disgrace any profession... for reaching the top one has to climb all the way from bottom bt Kamla really lives in some virtual word :-(
She didn't even understand that u can't work even as a waitress in a top class hotel without holding any degree n she wants her to become a madam out of a blue... She wants her daughter to jump to the top no matter if it leaves a hole in Kalpi's heart.. no matter if she falls prey to the vanities around her!!!

I am not sure if you are from India or not.. In USA and many other countries, every job is respected... and children are taught to be independent from the point they are 18, they look for some way to earn and make livings...

But mostly people here never prefer to work as waiteress or any such job which is low profile, particularly because of caste system... Yes, but many teachers start as tuition teacher and many others start with something small,.. but mostly in field where they wish to progress... work as waiters and waitress are for those who are undergraduate...😲😲😲 But these are those waiters:

These are those waiters... place where kalpi is working is some hi-fi one..! place where people like neetu comes..
