A Twisted Tale Part 22

Meanwhile, Raghav and Kalpi were still walking through the jungle... They were lost in their thoughts

*Falshback*

A few minutes after accident

Afetr gaining conciouness, Raghav tried to wake up Kalpi, she was unconscious.. she woke up with hurting body.

Raghav: (with deep concern) Kalpi tum theek ho na?

Kalpi: (wincing a little in pain) y..e..a..h..h... aap??

Raghav: thank god!...I'm also fine.. can you walk (helping her to stand)?

Kalpi: I think I can...

Raghav: okkk, drink some water (reffering towards a natural spring) and then we have to look for a way out.

Kalpi went near the water body, her both hands were bleeding, and there were scratches and cuts all over her palms. She had held a thorny bush while falling down the slope... she tried to wash her hands but as water touched her palms she winced in pain.. Raghav was looking at her helplessness. He moved forward, geathered water in his hands and asked kalpi to drink from it... Kalpi was surprised at Raghav sweet gesture as she didn't anticipate him doing such thing.

Raghav: I'm not gonna stand here like this the whole day, so drink.

Kalpi just did what he said. Her lips touched only his hand.. but his whole body witnessed the warmth of her rosy lips.

Raghav: we should go,,,,,, we need to go somewhere safe before the sun down.

Kalpi: yeah, lets go.

Kalpi's shirt was drenched and she was feeling uncomfortable in that. Noticing this Raghav took off is shirt while walking ahead and streached his hand behind to give it to her... Kallpi was a little apprehensiveto take it but still took it without any resistance. She didn't want him to be mad at her, especially now that they had to find a way out. Two heads were better than one.

Raghav: (still walking ahead) wear it!

Kalpi: thank you...

Raghav: uski zarurat nahin hai... change it or you'll catch cold..

There was a concern in his voice, which almost melted Kalpi's heart..

Kalpi: then I should go and change (she moved towards the trees)

Suddenly Raghav grabbed her arm.

Raghav: (in avoice filled with passion and demand) I told you not to go anywhere I can't see you, alright...

Kalpi: I know Raghav,,, but...

Raghav cut her words short

Raghav: shhh!! you can change here, I'm not a pervert to look at you changing... do you trust me enough to do that????

He just closed his eyes after realising what he had said...

Raghav's POV: damn you Raghav... Now go die somewhere... you shouldn't have said that... kya sochegi Kalpi!!!

Kalpi: (shyly) yeah!! I trust you...

Raghav was overjoyed... beacuse Kalpi trusted him. He started walking again.

Kalpi behind him was changing into Raghav's shirt trying not to make any noice... She still couldn't believe, she was doing that on Raghav's command, whom she was hating few months back. But then things changed. and her feelings for Raghav too... she had no idea, how and when this man started ruling her heart... she smiled to herself. She knew there is something amazing and pure between them but couldn't admit it to him.

Raghav: ...please keep on talking so that I don't feel someone might have kidnapped you...

Kalpi: sometimes you behave really sweet??

Raghav: that's a good thing right?

Kalpi: yeah, much better than your egoistic attitude..

Raghav: haaa... attitude! & me... talk for your self Kalpi, you have an attitude problem..

Kalpi: (defending herself) I don't have an attitude, I just have a personality you can't handle.

Raghav heard Kalpi giggling behind him. In other circumstances, he would have kissed that girl for making him loosing his control...

Kalpi: I'm done, you can turn now...

Raghav turned to look at her and was left stunned... his shirt was way too lose for her tiny frame, but she was looking beautiful and hot in that...

Raghav's POV: Unbelievable! I never thought someone can look this damn gorgeous in my cloths...

Kalpi: (embarrased) Why are you looking at me like that... am I looking too bad in you this (innocently)???

Raghav: (sighing) No, I was just thinking that this is going to be my favourite shirt now.. (smirks)

Kalpi's cheeks went red to deeproot red to almost blood red. Raghav was enjoying teasing her.

Kalpi & Raghav had been walking for hours, and there was no end in sight to the jungle. Raghav walked ahead, with Kalpi trailing along behind. Kalpi was admiring his strong built.

Kalpi's POV: (still staring at him) ... I was so worried when you told me to jump off without you... It felt like I might lose you, I'm happy that you are safe and with me..

Raghav: like what you see (smirking)

Kalpi: (coming to senses) huh???

Raghav: (with a playful grin) I said... like what you see Kalpi.

Kalpi gulped her spit realising she had been caught checking Raghav out..

Kalpi: (controlling her nerves) don't flatter yourself Raghav... (looking down under his sharp gaze) I mean, this is not the first time I'm seeing you like this.

Raghav: (raising his eyebrows and rembering the scene from her home) ohhh really!!! and I was so dissappoited that you didn't notice me.

He said all this in mischevious tone that Kalpi felt like burrying herself deep in earth...

*flashback ends*

Raghav's voice brought Kalpi back to the present

Raghav: tired??

Kalpi: huhh??? no no, we can't stop before we find a way out na...

Raghav's POV: Ohhh goddd how can I forget i'm talking to a girl with dare not challenge me kinda aatitude. It's her favourite hobby not to listen to me... She only understands one language.

Raghav: (acting angry) just sit down Kalpi, we can rest foe a while.

He sat down and pulled her down from her hand. She lost her balance and fell over Raghav... her one arm was around his neck and one hand was on her chest... Raghav's one hand was around her waist and other was on ground maintaining the balance. They reamiend in the same position for few minutes.. but then Kalpi broke the trance and both parted away... they sat with their back to a tree...

Raghav: can I ask you something???

Kalpi: poochiye??

Raghav: You didn't want to come to Panchgani, why?

Kalpi didn't say anything... Raghav could feel her pain even in her silence.

Raghav: if you don't wann..

Kalpi: this is the place where I lost my aai to Pakhi!

Raghav was speechless hearing those words coming out from her mouth. She told him everything what happened after he left for the US... Kamla was hospitalised and to pay the bill she had to work at Kapoors house... how kamla decided to sent her to hostel, how saved Pakhi's life over her...

Raghav was listening everyword like an epic... he was in rage after finding out how Kapoors humiliated Kalpi... he was feeling very bad for Kalpi...

Kalpi: (continuing) i'm not complaining that aai doesn't love be, I just know that I'm not her priority. I wanted to forget that day but by coming here I had to live that moment evry second...

getting no response from Raghav she said after taking a pause.

Kalpi: aap sun bhi rahe ho kya???

Raghav: hmmm, I'm sorry everything happened because of me..

Kalpi noticed a hunch of guit in his voice

Kalpi: Don't feel guilty, nothing was your fault... (to lighten the mood) even if it was your fault, something very good comes out of it (smiles).

Raghav now turned to look at her smiling face... as if asking "what"

Kalpi: Agar aap US nahin jate to main hostel nahi jati or aaj main yahan nahin hoti

Raghav: (also smiling) Yahan mtlb mere sath, aise, iss jungle mein na (teasing)

Kalpi: (rolling her eyes) haha no... ek sucessful position pe...

Raghav: you deserve to be at the better palce

Kalpi: this is the first time you are appreciating my work

Raghav: Hamesha har cheez kehna zaruri hai kya... kuch baatein to bina kahe bhi samajh skte hai na...

He said those words in a serious tone... he just was covering for not telling her how he felt for her...

Kalpi: hamesha nahin bus kabhi kabhi samne wale k liye... kuch ishare dena zaruri hota hai

They both didn't speak anything for next few minutes...

Kalpi: it can't be coincidence??

Raghav: what??

Kalpi: baar baar humpe attack hona, accident and all

Raghav knew who was the man behind all this but still didn't reply...

Raghva: (getting up) chalein??

Kalpi tried to get up when he offered his hand to her.

Raghav: (extending his hand) here!!! We could walk hand-in-hand till you feel ok...

Kalpi accepted his offer wearing a cute smile on her lips... after walking for few more minutes they saw a wooden house. Their eyes lit up in hope. They knocked at the door but nobody answered. They walked in. There were big boxes all around, they had a feeling that it wasn't the right palce for them to stay over.

Raghav: It's wiered, iss jungle mein itna bada ghar, itne boxes; something is very fishy about this palce.

Kalpi: mujhe bhi aisa hi lagta hai.

Raghav: you stay here main bahar dekhta hoon, and don't come out until I ask you to.

He stepped out of the house without listening to Kalpi's words. She picked up a packet from one of the boxes.. she colud not believe her eyes.

Kalpi's POV: OMG!!! It has to be drugs... someone is smuggling drugs from here, it's a smugglers den. I need to tell this to Raghav. She went out to look for Raghav. He wasn't nearby; she continued looking for him and suddently she was stunned to see the scene before her eyes... Raghav was fighting with two goons, who were holding knives in their hands... Raghav was fighting with one and other goon was about to hit him from behind but before he could succed, Kalpi hit him hard in head with a rod. Raghav pushed the other goon away and looked at Kalpi.

Kalpi just run towards him and hugged him tightly... she was crying and crying loudly.. Raghav too hugged her back... the hug was filled with passion and strong emotions.. There was no space for even air to pass between them. Kalpi feelings for Raghav were in open, now he knew how she feels... Raghav didn't want to break the moment at any cost... Kalpi realised him wincing a bit... she looked up and to her horror raghav stopped a knife, by which the goon was trying to stab her.. blood was running down his hand to his arm...

Kalpi: (shouting) Raaaghav!!!

But raghav didn't break the hug, gathering all his streangth he pushed the goon away. The goon rammed into a tree and got unconscious.

Kalpi breaking the hug and repeteadly smacking him in the chest

Kalpi: (rambling and crying) how can you do that, what were you thinking, you are not a superman????

Raghav: (trying to calm her down) Kalpi I'm fine, kuch nahi hua mujhe

Kalpi: (still crying and angry) kuch nahi hua, look at this (showing him his bleeding hand)

She tore off her shirt which she had tied around her waist... and started bandaging around his injured hand... tears had been rolling down her cheeks. Raghav took her face in his hand.

Raghav: Please... stop crying na... I'm very very bad at consoling people..

The innocence in his voice cracked her up.

Kalpi: (threatening) don't, I repeat don't do such thing ever again..

Raghav: (pulling her towards him) You surly have become more arrogant... You need to learn who the boss is. (grinning)

Kalpi: (moving away and putting her hands on her waist) didn't I save you life???

Raghav: yeah, thank you for not behaving like Hindi film heroines...

Kalpi: (smilingly) lets go from here... we can deal with it later...

They both were moving towards the direction of a light... when they reached the place, they were overjoyed. Some people were having a camp fire there.. A lady approached them

Lady: any trouble??

Kalpi: we met with an accident and got lost in this jungle..

Contemplating the situation the lady offered them to join the group. The group comprised four couples, three married and one engaged, and a tour guide. The lady introduced herself as Pooja. She told them that they were camping in the jungle. She and her husband gave them cloths to change and some snacks to eat then Raghav & Kalpi joined them in camp fire.

Pooja: Today is Valentines Day and only 45 minutes are left for it to end. So Kalpana did your man proposed to you or not?

Kalpi: (not knowing what to say and looking at Raghav) ummm no but it's ok that's just not his style.

Everybody started hooting after hearing her words.

Pooja's husband: then young lady you must take the lead

Kalpi was now blushing endlessly.

Pooja: (to her husband) stop teasing them... lets not get into this and have fun

They all started playing spin the bottle. Raghav & Kalpi was stealing glances from each other... and it was kalpi's turn to take the challenge, Raghav challenged her to sing a song.

Kalpi: Ohk but even you have to sing along... right guys (she asked everyone)??

Everybody supported Kalpi and Raghav had to give up. He shook his head looking at kalpi, who just giggled.

Kalpi took the guitar and started singing...

Now it was Raghav's turn to sing...

Kalpi & Raghav exchanged a few smiles... everybody enjoyed alot and finaly they called it a day... Raghav left with guys to their tent and ladies went to theirs... Kalpi was now sitting alone there.

She heard a voice behind her.

Raghav: I called up Sammy at home from Pooja's cellphone...

Kalpi: how are they... where are they??

Raghav: relax, they are safe ...and I told him that we are also fine...

Kalpi heaved a sigh of relief... she was worried about Sammy and Pakhi...

Raghav: You look tired and exhausted... should sleep... now

Kalpi: hmmm I'm just goi...

She wasn't expecting what happened next. Raghav gave a quick pack on her forehead. She was speechless, even Raghav himself was surprised at his guts, he only new that he was feeling like a molted iron... They looked into each others eyes.

Raghav: (looking into her eyes) just because k tumne kaha tha k "kabhi kabhi kuch ishare dena zaruri hota hai"... good night..,,,, & Happy Valentines Day... tomorrow we'll be going home!

Saying this Raghav left, and Kalpi started moving towards her tent. She was smiling, and blushing in happiness because now she knows they don't have to say anything to each other... they just know they belong to each other!!!!!!
