Hi everyone! This is my first topic in this forum.
After the very recent leap, I want to discuss the character of grown-up Kalpi.
So I have seen some concerns about Kalpi being negative but truth be told she is not negative but realistic. Realistic is not negative. In reality people, experience all emotions like love, insecurity, jealousy, happiness, sadness. etc.
We are very used to seeing leads who are mostly too-good-to-be-true. They are perfect and always really good. But are we always like that? No! Put yourself in Kalpi's place. I don't know what made Kamla think that only boarding school was the answer to Kalpi's success but whatever she thought, she owed her daughter an explanantion. She always handles Kalpi so insensitively. She was a child. Any child feels not loved and especially bad in another person is getting more attention of her own parent.
Plus, Pakhi's character is a bit too sweet. I would have liked it if she was more well-defined. Kamla here is being shown to have instilled good values in Pakhi but I want to know that why did she allow this barrier between Pakhi and Neetu? Why Pakhi calls her mother by name when we know that she listens to anything Kamla says? Granted that Neetu could have cared for her child first-hand more but she does love Pakhi.
Kalpi is good at heart. She does talk nicely when it comes to her brother and father. She is also understanding about their financial problems.
As far as the actress, all I wish is that she puts on some weight as she is too skinny.
What do you think?
