this is the scenario guys!

nikhil had cancer and doctor told him that after chemo he might become infertile so they froze his sperm (sperm bank) before the chemotherapy. now he is cured of cancer and as doctor thought is unable to make his wife pregnant the natural way. so they tried artificial insemination with his sperm on tulika but she couldn't conceive. that's why they are going for surrogate mother.

so tulika is not infertile as artificial insemination doesn't always work for everyone.

the thing about being figure conscious is to just create hatred towards her. i believe that as women we all care about our figure but very rarely a women thinks about not having a baby. our serials and movies tend to show upperclass women as bad mothers which is untrue.

Thanks Bluepink, you said it!!! Yes, not all moms can be like this. I think such cases are very rarely seen, where a lady will think about her health and figure, for this, deciding not to have a child!!! 😕

But my only doubt here is, can the sperms of a man be stored for a long time? The doc said even before Nikhil could undergo Chaemotherapy, his sperms were taken out. But, is this feasible? If so, what is the storage period for sperms?

sree, i don't know what the time period is but sperm banks are just like blood banks. so i think it must be kept forzen for a long time. now in US umblical cord blood is also stored to cure cancer and other diseases. so if someone donates her baby's cord blood and that baby grows up and has cancer then this cord blood can be used for transplants and other researches.

barbie, that was not my analysis but this is what nikhil & doctor spoke. lots of things are covered in dialogues so if we miss that we miss the story.
