After 2 years
"Manvi... Where are you..???" Virat shouted for the fifth time.
"I'm coming virat... Stop yelling for god's sake..." came the reply.
"Manvi I'm getting late yaar... Where is that file...??" Virat again shouted.
"Shut up virat... Please..."
"Mind if I help..." Said vanshika and virat smiled at her.
"Please..." Virat sighed.
"Which file..?? tell me... Like father like son..." Vanshika said.
"Exactly... Like father like son..." Manvi commented as she entered the room.
Virat looked at her from the corner of his eye and turned to look at vanshika.
"Your son troubles me a lot... Do something about it..." Manvi remarked.
"Who are you talking about...?? My son or my grandson...??" Vanshika asked turning around.
"Both of them mom..." Manvi replied.
"Silly..." Virat whispered.
"Spend a day with your rock star and you will get to know how silly it is, Mr. Vadera..." Manvi replied.
"He is the apple of your eye Mrs. Vadera.. Keep him to yourself..." Virat replied.
Vanshika rolled her eye and left the room.
"He is your son too..." Manvi reasoned.
"I know baby... Now find my file yaar... I have a meeting..." Virat requested.
"Fine... But when will you learn taking care of your things...??? I'm tired of this virat..." Manvi made a face and started the "find the file" mission.
"You have made me that careless... Accept it..." Virat grinned.
"Mommm..."
"Now what's wrong with her...??" Virat asked as they heard kasak shouting.
"I don't know... Everybody in this house just yells... Hell bent on making their vocal cords burst..." Manvi muttered in reply.
"What a visual treat..." Virat remarked and smirked.
"I want a separate room..." Kasak came in the room and stomped her feet on the ground.
"Why...??" Virat asked.
"Here is your file..." Manvi smiled victoriously.
"Ansh just threw a glass of milk on my bedsheet... Ruining it... He is so annoying..." Kasak complained.
"I just ordered him to drink it and he... Virat this son of yours..." Manvi glared at virat.
"Akela mera thodi hai... Kuch bhi.. Waise hai toh woh tumhare jaisa naughty hi..." Virat said and kasak giggled in response.
"Ansh Vadera... Come here right now..." Manvi said sternly.
Seconds later came running the little brat.
"Mumma milk finish..." Ansh said showing manvi an empty mug.
No matter how angry manvi was moments ago, her anger vanished when she looked at her little rock star and his cute smile.
"Tell how you finished it..." Kasak told ansh.
He showed his tongue to kasak and made an innocent face.
"Drink kia..." Ansh answered.
Virat wanted to laugh at it but decided not to. He took the file and after kissing kasak and ansh left the room, but not before winking at manvi.
Manvi shook her head and sat on the bed. Kasak came and sat in manvi's lap, hugging her. Looking at them hugging, ansh ran and stood in front of manvi, begging for attention.
"He is so jealous..." Kasak smirked and smiled.
"Mujhe bhi huggy..." He said.
Manvi helped ansh climb up the bed and wrapped her arms around her little world. Her kids.
"But anshi next time you throw milk... I will make you clean it..." Manvi whispered in ansh's ear.
"Sorry..." He whispered back.
"But I still want a new bedroom... He is too naughty mumma..." Kasak complained and broke the hug.
"Anything my princess wants..." Manvi replied.
"And I want big car..." Ansh chirped clapping his hands.
"We have a big car..." Manvi replied, messing his hair.
"My big car..." Ansh corrected.
"Next birthday..." Kasak replied instead of manvi, and manvi smiled thinking of what will be virat's reaction to this.
Every time kasak made a demand, his face was worth seeing. And now history will repeat itself... It will be fun. His little brat wants a car of his own. How are you going to handle this dynamite Mr. Virat vadera...?? Haha...
"Can I go to meet mishti...???" Ansh asked, breaking manvi's train of thoughts.
"Haha... He is crazy about her..." Kasak commented and giggled.
"Kasak... Stop..." Manvi said.
It was weird for manvi seeing kasak tease ansh. Her daughter teasing her son who is just two years old.
"Mumma..." Ansh said again.
"You can meet her tomorrow in school... Go and play..." Manvi told ansh.
Ansh made a face and ran away.
"Mom I also like mishti... Ansh will marry her one day... Pakka..." Kasak again said, grinning this time.
"Even I like mishti..." Manvi replied and giggled.
"Will rishabh uncle agree...???" Kasak asked.
"Hehe... I don't know..." Manvi replied thinking of rishabh's reaction. He ius way too possessive of his little princess. Mishti Singhania... Aah she is really something... Just as beautiful as madhu, smart and witty as rishabh... Manvi sometimes saw a glimpse of herself in mishti and felt attached to her.
"Let me ask nain then..." Kasak suggested.
"Cmon stop calling her nain... She is not your classmate..." Manvi told kasak.
"OK... Now call her please..." Kasak requested.
"She just came to India yesterday kasu... We shouldn't trouble her..." Manvi suggested.
"Oh cmon mom... By the way does maamu still love her...??" Kasak asked.
Manvi nodded her head in positive, as she didn't know how to put it into words. Only if things hadn't changed. Changed after that incident.
***** Flashback*****
The bullet was shot and there was blood all around. Naina stepped back and stumbled and maan saved her from falling, reaching her in time. Eyes were fixed on mohit who fell on the floor with a thump, blood gushing out of his arm. There was pin drop silence all around, and just as naina composed herself she pushed maan away, taking a step towards mohit who laid there - his eyes fixed on her.
"M.. Mohit..."
Naina held his hand and shook her head in a no.
"You.. You will be fine..."
"N.. Nai... Naina..." He spoke taking deep breaths.
"Mohit talk to me... Don't close your eyes..." Naina requested.
"Mohit... Bhai... Call the ambulance..." Virat shouted as he came inside, recovering from the shock.
Rishabh stood beside maan, looking at mohit with disgust and anger.
"Bhai... Doctor..." Naina said getting panicked.
"Naina... I.. I love you..." Mohit said as he winced in pain closing his eyes.
"Open your eyes... Mohit... Please... " naina whispered and tears rolled down her eyes, "you can't leave... Things will get better... Mohit..." She continued and shook him.
Virat bent down and pulled naina into his arms, he knew it was over. His eyes witnessing his cousin lying in pool of blood lifelessly.
"He is gone..." Virat whispered.
"No... No..." Naina whispered weakly before losing consciousness.
Naina woke up in hospital after long 24 hours and blamed herself for everything that happened. In her guilt she pushed maan away, every time hurting him and breaking his already broken heart. Soon naina was discharged and brought back home.
"Stop pushing me away naina... Just stop... I'm your husband if you remember..." Maan lost his patience a week later.
Naina kept looking at her hands and didn't reply.
"I love you naina..." Maan said keeping his anger in check.
"He said the same thing..." Naina whispered.
"He is dead... I'm the one who is alive... Who loved you... Who still loves you..." Maan said and sat beside naina.
"I killed him..."
"No baby... He killed himself... Naina please come back to me baby... I need my nain..." Maan held naina's hand and requested her.
"You doubted me... Like he did once..."
"Naina please... Look at me baby... See how much I love you... I'm waiting for you... For you to come to me... I want to hold you in my arms, kiss you and love you..."
"Divorce me maan..."
"What...?? Are you even in your senses...??" Came a voice.
Maan looked at the door to find manvi standing at the doorstep.
"Bhai what is she saying...??" Manvi asked maan in disbelief.
"She is just disturbed... Upset you know..." Maan covered up for naina.
"No I'm not..." Naina replied.
"Just shut up naina..." Maan told naina.
"I can't believe it... What has happened to her...?? I doubt if she ever loved you bhai..." Manvi said in disgust.
"She loves me manvi... Don't make things difficult... Leave..." Maan requested manvi to leave.
"Maan I did that to mohit... Only if I understood he wouldn't have died... I have a curse on me... Please stay away... Please... "
"Naina I love you... Let's go back to Canada... Home is calling us..." Maan tried convincing naina.
"I have to be fair... We can't be together... You don't trust me... I have to let you go... I did that to him... Please..."
Naina burst into tears and maan kept looking at her. Since last week she has been bawling her eyes out, and making life difficult. It has been killing him to see his wife crying over someone who wasn't he. He was in front of her eyes but she didn't acknowledge him.
"Were you pregnant...??" Maan couldn't stop himself any longer. He had to ask her that... From the time virat told him he saw naina in the hospital, he had been wanting to ask her. He had to know now... Even though the child wasn't his...
Naina stopped sobbing and looked at maan. He can't be asking her that and why would he even ask her that... Was he accusing her of infidelity...???
"W.. What...??"
"Were you pregnant by any chance...???"
"No... No I wasn't... I didn't sleep with him..." Naina replied.
"I would have killed you if you did..." Maan replied storming out of the room. How could he even ask her that...?? The way she looked at him told him it was over. They were history.
***** Flashback *****

After 2 days
"Hey Mannu..." Naina smiled at manvi and looked at kasak.
"My cupcake..."
Naina hugged kasak and she hugged him back.
"How's you...??" Kasak asked.
"I'm pretty and tempting..." Naina replied grinning at them.
"I will become like you..." Kasak said excitedly.
"No... I wish you don't grow up like me... I'm a mess..." Naina whispered.
"Nain I want to talk..." Manvi said for the first time.
"OK... I'm going inside..." Kasak said and left giving naina a flying kiss.
"Lemme get straight to the point... What have you guys decided...?? I can't see you both like that..." said manvi.
"I wanted divorce manvi... And he gave it to me... Now I shouldn't... I can't go and tell him that I regret it..." Naina replied.
"Why not...??"
Naina stood up as she heard his voice. She turned around to face maan.
"Why can't you say it to me...??" Maan asked.
"Because I ruined us..." replied naina looking sorry and guilty.
"Its never too late... Say it to me nain... We can make it up for the time we lost..."
Manvi kept her hand on naina's shoulder and nodded her head giving her best friend the much needed comfort and support.
"I'm sorry maan... I love you so much... Please mujhe maaf kar do... I.. I apologise..." Naina said.
"I love you too... Marry me again... Will you...??"
"Hmm.. Yes..."
"Now hug and make up..." Manvi announced and closed her eyes.
Naina giggled and maan opened his arms for her. He wanted his wife back. His naina back. Because she belonged to him. Only him. Their rough patch was now over.
"Ohh god I'm late..."
All the eyes turned towards virat who sighed disappointedly.
"So...?? You want an action replay now...??" Manvi asked raising her eye brow at her dearest husband.
"Is that possible...???" Virat asked smirking at them.
"No... I'm not ruining my make up anymore..." Naina refused straightaway.
"Well she is back..." Maan told and hugged her again.
Looking at them, virat moved towards manvi and hugged her. Every time he hugged her, he felt alive. Once she was just a small part of his life and now as the years passed, she became his life... The reason of his survival... The reason he is a happy man.. The reason is family is complete.. The reason his kids are happy and smiling... Without her in his life, he would have been incomplete, lonely and lost. With her beside him, life is a bed of roses... He has everything a man can wish for... Everything.. Its like perfection personified...
"I love you..." Virat whispered.
Manvi hugged him closer and whispered back "I love you more... To the moon and back..."
"Romantic huh..." Virat whispered.
"Very... Ab tumhe kaun bachaega...??" Manvi whispered, pkayfully biting his ear lobe.
"Bachna kaun chahat hai..." Virat pulled manvi close and whispered.
"Guys... Get a room..." Naina clicked her fingers and smirked at virman.
"And one for us too..." Maan said and back hugged naina.
"Main thodi sharmili kya hui, saari duniya hi besharam ho gayi..." Naina said in shock.
Listening to her never ending nautanki, everyone laughed. Laughter filled in the room and love was in the air. And where there is love, there is light and everything is beautiful. Life is beautiful...!!!!
