Chapter-13(A)
*Virat's POV*
I woke up to an annoying screeching in my ear. "Virrraaatt." Christa whined in my ear. I groaned and turned away from her. I do not want to be awoken this way...the only way I'd wake up is if Manvi was the o- I shook my head, trying to not think about the girl I actually love and turned to Christa, the girl I have to pretend to love.
"Good morning." I said tightly. "Yes, your awake!" She said planting a sloppy kiss on my lips.
I resisted the urge to wipe my mouth and smiled at her, a smile so fake even china would deny the made it. Obviously, her tiny brain didn't notice. "Come on, today's Barun's birthday and I absolutel nothing to wear! We need to go shopping, babe! Get dressed and get your wallet!" She said before leaving the room.
I rolled my eyes and got out of bed. So, today's Barun's birthday... yippie. Don't get me wrong, I love Barun and I want him to have an awesome birthday but I'm just not in a party mood nowadays. All I wanna do is sit around trying NOT to think about Manvi but than again maybe that party will help a bit. It'll get my mind of her for a little while perhaps.
Christa isn't being a help at that at all these days. She's annoying and when I kiss her, the only thing that keeps me from not pulling away is imagining that she's Manvi. Ah Manvi, I bet she's gonna look absolutely amazing tonight, making it extremely hard for me to steer clear of her.
I went into the bathroom and did my morning routine: take a shower, brush my teeth, wear some clothes, and flip my hair. I grabbed my phone and wallet and went into the living room to see Karan eating a bowl of cereal on the couch, sitting as far away as possible from Christa. I felt a smile tug on my lips. I don't mind the boys hating Christa, in fact I don't blame them, I hate her myself, I just need her until I get over these feelings for Manvi, although nowadays that seems kind of impossible.
"Karan, we're going shopping." I told Karan. He smiled at me and than glared at Christa. "Have fun,but try not to buy the whole mall please." Christa rolled her eyes and I chuckled under my breath.
"Remember Pashmeen, Barun, Sameer, and Arjun are taking one limo, and me, you, and that, are picking up
Manvi and Jeevika with one limo." He said referring to Christa as that. I couldn't help but feel butterflies swimming in my stomach when he said we're picking up Manvi. Than I mentally scolded myself since I needed to forget about her in the party not stare at her.
I opened the car door for Christa and got in the passenger seat. I started the car and made my way to the closest mall, not really caring about the paps. Christa enjoys the attention anyways.
"Okay so first we have to go to there, ooh and we have to go to this new store that sells the sexiest outfits ever!" I blocked out the rest of Christa's babbling. This was going to be on looong shopping trip.

Oh. My. God. I am literally the most exhausted person in the universe right now. Christa bought like half the mall, dragging me everywhere with her. I just wanna take a nice long nap but of course I can't since Barun's birthday is in 1 hour and I need to get ready. Christa freaked out when she saw what time it was and raced to the bathroom to get ready.
I rolled my eyes and went into my own room.
I sighed as I fell back on the bed. I really don't wanna go to Barun's party.
But he's your best friend... that small voice in my head said. But I don't wanna go!... the other voice in my head whined. Manvi will be there... the small teasing voice retorted. I don't care... the other voice lied.
Yes you do. You love her. Don't even deny it. The only reason you wanna go to this stupid party is so you can see her beautiful face. You don't care about Christa, shes nothing to you. Manvi is everything and you know it. S- OKAY, I MUST BE GOING CRAZY.
I shook my head trying to shake of those stupid voices and stripped till I was only in my boxers.
I searched in my closet when I finally found a pair of jeans, a white v neck, and my signature black blazer. I slipped on my white converse and checked my appearance.
I looked pretty good other than the bags under my eyes from no sleep last night. I sighed once more and raced downstairs.
Karan was already there waiting impatiently. "Virat, go tell your stupid girlfriend to hurry up!" He said rolling his eyes.
I sighed and ran upstairs again and into the guest room.
Christa was in front of the mirror putting a shit load of makeup. I rolled my eyes. "You done yet?" She huffed, "NO, I need to finish my makeup!" She whined. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Christa darling, we have to leave." I said with a fake smile.
She ignored me and continued with her makeup.
"I need to look perfect, Virat! I'm not like your ugly friend Manvi who barely makes an effort to look good!" As soon as she said that I stood frozen on the spot.
I felt anger boil up inside of me. Nobody, nobody says that about my Manvi. I don't care if she doesn't love me back or care about me, all I know is I will forever love her and nobody will say such a lie about her in front of me.
"How dare you say that!? Manvi is drop-dead gorgeous, okay! I'm sorry that your jealous of her beauty since you don't even have any but I will not allow you to say that! Your right about one thing though, she doesn't even make a effort and she still looks like the most beautiful girl in the world!
Wanna know the best part? It's natural beauty, something I'm sure you never heard of! Beauty on the outside AND on the inside. You will never be half as beautiful as Manvi."
My voice was raising by the second and I could have sworn a vain popped on my forehead.
My fists were in balls so tight that they were turning white and my jaw was clenched.
I may not get mad a lot, but when I do...it's pretty scary.
Christa gasped and a look of anger crossed her face. "VIRAT, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!? I'm your girlfriend Virat not Manvi, okay?" She said annoyingly. She came closer and wrapped her arms around my waist placing her lips on mine.
I was still incredibly angry so I pushed her of breathing heavily. She simply rolled her eyes. "I'm sorry, baby." She said in a fake sickeningly sweet voice that made me want to puke. I rolled my eyes and said coldly. "Let's go."
She didn't whine this time and followed me downstairs. Karan who was still waiting down grinned like a madman once he saw me. I sent him a questioning glance but he didn't notice since he was smiling like crazy. Christa waddled in front of us, going to the limo. Karan and I followed closely behind.
Christa opened the door and jumped in like she owned it. Karan huffed before going inside himself.
I smirked and went in sitting purposely next to Karan. He smiled at me and once again I sent him a questioning glance. As the limo left to Manvi and Jeevika's house Karan leaned in and whispered in my ear, "I heard what you said upstairs, I'm proud of you."
"Manvi's POV*
I smiled at my reflection in the mirror. Today was Barun's birthday and I'm incredibly excited. Pashmeen, Jeevika, and I went shopping and bought the perfect dresses for the party. The only thing I was kind of nervous about was that Virat was picking me up...I know I shouldn't be nervous but I just can't help it. I am in love with him, after all.
Pashmeen bought a tight red dress that fits her perfect figure perfectly. Jeevika bought a pink puffy dress that makes her look amazing. I, on the other hand, bought a cute red dress that's simple yet impressive. It was followed by a pair of black heels that went perfectly with it. I looked like this and I actually felt beautiful.
I didn't wear lots of makeup, though. Only light pink lip gloss. I know that's not much but and I aren't really...the best of friends. I continued looking at myself in the mirror not fully recognizing the girl in front of me. "You look absolutely gorgeous." I whipped my head back to see Jeevika standing
there with her eyes watering slightly as she took me in.
I giggled softly, "Jeevika, seriously are you crying?" I groaned. She sniffed. "I'm sorry, it's just that my little girl is all grown up." I burst out laughing. This made Jeevika cry harder. Once my laughter died down I pulled Jeevika into a hug. "Aw, thank you babe. You look amazing." She pulled away smiling at me, "Not as amazing as you, though! I am so glad we picked you that dress. I swear, all eyes will be on you tonight." I chuckled and kissed her cheek.
Suddenly the door bell rang and me and Jeevika smiled widely running down the stairs. Don't even ask me how we managed to get down there with our heels, running. Jeevika went to open the door and I went into the kitchen to grab a tiny snack before we leave. "Hey Ams, you look great." I heard Karan say. "Yeah, you do." Virat agreed politely. The sound of his voice sent chills down my spine but I ignored them taking a bite out of my twix. I heard Christa's unmistakable huff and chuckled softly.
"Where's Manvi?" Karan asked. I decided that was my cue to make an entrance. I finished my twix and threw it in the garbage before entering the living room. Karan and Virat turned around just in time to see me. Karan grinned like an idiot when he saw me and he just stared for while. Virat was a whole different story. His eyes popped out of his head and his jaw dropped. He scanned me from head to toe, his eyes growing wider by the second. Karan was grinning at Virat's reaction know. His eyes caught mine and I saw something weird in them...something that kind of looked like...love?
I must be seeing things.. I smiled at Karan who instantly returned the smile. "Mannu, you look...wow. You look amazing!" Karan complimented me. I smiled wider at him. "That makes two of us." I said back. He smiled and winked at me. Virat just stood there still staring at me.
*Virat's POV*
When I saw her, I literally couldn't breath.
My knees felt so weak, like I was going to fall down any second and my heart was thumping so loud I was afraid she'd hear it. My stomach was filled with butterflies dinosaurs.
I probably looked like an idiot just standing there staring at her but I don't care. I took in everything, from head to toe and I could not find a single flaw. She was flawless. Gorgeous. Beautiful. Amazing.
Hot. Sexy. Adorable. Everything wrapped in one girl.
Her chestnut brown hair was down in a cute style.
Her chocolate brown eyes sparkled like diamonds. Her pink lips never looked more kissable. The dress hugged every curve she had, making her look like a supermodel. She looked even more beautiful than usual. And that's saying a lot.
It took every ounce of self-control I had to not kiss her right than and there.
I was lost in my thoughts about her beauty that I didn't even realize when we were in the car making our way to the party. I sucked in a deep breath, It's gonna be hard staying away from her.
*Manvi's POV*
We made it inside the club and instantly everyone went of there on way. Karan went to chat up some girls. Virat went god knows where. Jeevika went to find Viren, since he said he'd come here alone. What really surprised me, though was that Christa didn't go with Virat.
She went in the other direction.
I ignored it and set of to find Barun. I found Pashmeen and Barun at a table sipping there drink. I walked over to them smiling widely. Pashmeen spotted me first and her eyes lit up. "Manvi!" She exclaimed before hugging me.
"You look gorgeous!" She complimented me. "That makes two of us." I smiled at her.
Barun saw me finally and he smiled big. I pulled him into a hug and he kissed my head softly.
"Happy Birthday!" I told him once we pulled away.
"Thanks, love. You look amazing!" I smiled at him, gratefully. "Thanks, Li. I'm gonna go get a drink." said. I went towards the bar. I saw Virat on the other side of the room not doing anything. He wasn't even drinking, huh that's weird. He was just playing with his fingers.
I shrugged it of and told the bartender to give me a coke.
I wasn't a big fan of alcohol. He gave it to me and I sipped my drink as I looked around.
Barun and Pashmeen were giggling and gazing at each other. Karan was dancing with a bunch of girls surrounding him, I giggled at the look on his face. Virat, like I said before, was simply playing with his fingers.
Jeevika and Viren were in the middle of a snog fest. I saw Arjun and Sameer make there way towards me and I smiled at them.
"Hay gurl." Arjun said in an annoying girl voice.
I giggled and gave him a hug. "You look lovely." He whispered in my ear and I smiled at him.
"So do you." He winked. I hugged Sameer after that. "You look incredible, Mannu!" Sameer shouted over the music. I chuckled.
"Why are you sitting alone!? WE'LL KEEP YOU COMPANY, GURL!" Arjun said in that god damn annoying voice.
I burst out laughing and soon they joined me. In the corner of my eyes I saw Virat staring at us but I ignored it focusing on my best friends.
We kept chatting about random things when I suddenly felt the need to pee.
"I need to go to the bathroom." I told them. They nodded, "Careful, if any boy touches you tell me.
And come right back here when your done." Sameer said protectively. I chuckled and nodded.
I looked around for someone to ask and finally saw a security guard at the door.
"Excuse me, but where are the bathrooms?" I asked politely. He smiled warmly and said, "Right around that corner." He pointed to the other side of the club's corner. "Thank you." I said before walking towards it.
I entered the girls bathroom, only to see two people making out on the sink. Ew. Just no. I rolled my eyes in disgust and tried to ignore them but something caught my eye. Or should I say someone.
I know that bleached blond hair and that skimpy dress anywhere. My eyes widened as I soon realized that the person making out with a random dude was Christa! I gasped and they didn't even notice.
I suddenly forgot my urge to pee and ran outside the bathroom. I need to find Virat!
I need to find Virat and tell him what I saw.
Nobody deserves their girlfriend cheating on them. That's just wrong. I don't care if we weren't
talking or if he hates me, I NEED TO TELL HIM!
I made my way to the dance floor, still looking for Virat.
I got squashed my the crowd of people and could barely move.
Suddenly I felt someone pull me into their arms gently. I turned around to see those unmistakable brown eyes. "Erm...hi." He said staring down at me.
*Virat's POV*
I sighed as I looked down on my fingers. I didn't wanna do anything. I didn't wanna talk with anybody. After seeing Manvi today I'm certain I will NEVER be able to get over her.
She's the only girl for me. The only girl I loved and will always love. If only she knew...
My eyes searched the crowd on the dance floor, not finding anything better to do. I saw the beautiful chestnut haired girl I adored being squashed in the crowd.
My eyes widened. I reacted quickly, standing up and racing to her. I grabbed her waist and pulled her towards me. She turned around and my breath caught in my throat. Before I could get lose in her beautiful eyes, I spoke.
"Erm...hi." I said. Her eyes looked wide and shocked.
I furrowed my eyebrows at her and she reacted immediately.
"Virat, I need to tell you something!" I didn't know what to do or say.
I stayed frozen in spot. She wanted to talk to me!? Part of me was screaming out YES, TALK TO HER, YOU IDIOT! While part of me was screaming out NO, SHE DOESN'T LOVE YOU BACK, GET OVER IT.
I didn't know why I did it exactly, I guess I just needed some type of attention from her, but I couldn't take it back when I blurted out, "Okay."
Manvi smiled a beautiful smile and my heart fluttered.
It's crazy how she can always make me feel this way.
"Let's go outside, the music in here is too loud!" She shouted out over the music.
I nodded and grabbed her hand leading her to the backdoor. We stepped out of the club and I noticed that it was raining softly. Manvi noticed too because she smiled up at the sky, "I've always loved rain."
I was tempted to say 'I know' since I do but I was afraid that would sound stalkerish. So I just settled for saying, "So, what do you need to talk to me about?"
She suddenly looked serious and if you know Manvi you'll now that she's never serious.
"Virat, I don't really know how to say this." She started nervously.
My heart rate picked up, maybe she actually feels the same way?
"I was entering the girl's bathroom and I saw two people making out on the sink...and well...that person...erm...well...it was Christa, Virat. Christa is cheating on you." She rambled fast.
My hopes crushed, she didn't feel the same way. Well, obviously.
I don't know why I would ever think that she would love me back...I don't know why but I suddenly felt really angry.
I guess I was just mad that Manvi didn't love me back because I honestly couldn't care less about Christa cheating on me.
I needed something to take out my anger on so I decided to just use what Manvi said against her.
"Your lying." I said simply.
Manvi's eyes widened once more, "Why would I be lying?" She asked offended.
I literally don't know why that came out of my mouth next because we both know it's not true, "I
don't know, maybe because your jealous." By this point it was pouring rain and Manvi and I were soaked.
We didn't bother getting inside though.
Manvi looked both shocked and offended. "Me...jealous...of you!?" She said angrily.
I just stared at her. I couldn't tear my eyes away from her beauty.
"Virat, get over yourself. It's not my fault your girlfriend cheated on you, you cannot accuse me of being jealous!" I blocked out the rest of what she was saying.
I couldn't pay attention, I could only focus on her natural beauty.
She was honestly the most beautiful girl in the whole world.
Nothing could compare to her. She continued scolding me and I couldn't help but get turned on.
It wasn't my fault, she was sexy when she was mad. My eyes focused on her lips. Her pink lips that were just begging me to kiss them.
"And the nerve you have to te-" I cut her of by doing the stupidest, bravest, most amazing thing I've ever done in my entire life. I couldn't help myself.
I did it. I took the risk. I grabbed her face and crashed my lips with hers. I kissed her. Right under the pouring rain.
Well, I've always wanted a passionate kiss in the rain, especially with the girl I love most in the world.
I finally understood what all those stupid love songs, cheesy movies, and romantic novels always spoke about. Everything they spoke about, I felt in that kiss. The sparks. The fireworks.
Even the god damn church bells. I felt like I could just forget about everything. Nothing else mattered right now, it was just me and Manvi.
I was incredibly surprised by my own actions.
I didn't think I had the guts.
But you know what I was really surprised about.
When she actually kissed me back
