Once upon a time there was a song 'Phoolon ka taaron ka saabka kehna hain ' Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain,' the song since its release has been a hot favourite of siblings and is by default played as the background music during Rakhi or whenever one of the sibling is upset and the other tries to make amends. But if the song is so famous and important for siblings why have I mentioned this timeless melody as a once upon a time song'the answer lies with one date ' 03 October 2011.
On 03 October 2011 this melody became a Telly Serial Title for the show that revolves around the life of two orphan siblings Jeevika and Maanvi and their infinite love for each other.
Yes!! Dear readers Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain on Star Plus has completed a year and during this time period the charm of this song has definitely transferred to the show. This Cinevistaas Production had all the ingredients to grab audience's attention from the very start. The role of each and every actor was well defined and they are growing as the script and story is evolving. The youth-centric plot with a layer of traditional values has added the entertaining quotient to the equation.
Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain started with the main track as Jeevika (Krystal D'Souza)'s wedding, finding the right groom Viren (Karan Tacker), forming new relationship still respecting old ones. The major Drama quotient this time was the separation of these two sisters. Maanvi (Nia Sharma) was the centre of universe for Jeevika and vice versa, and as they proceeded with the marriage and life after it the love between the two does not recedes in fact they started sharing a more stronger bond.
Well, it has been a year and a lot have happened during this time (off course or else the TRP's would have fallen down and the serial could not have completed a year ) andexactly a year after coincidently the track is concentrated on Maanvi and Virat's (Kushal Tandon) wedding. Jeevika and Viren's wedding was a grand grand affair and there should be no doubt in your mind that Maanvi and Virat will have a grander wedding as there are now two reasons to celebrate'Let's look at the major Landmark of the show.
The wedding: This Band Baaja Baraat was very 'dramatraing' as the elders of Vadhera family love their daughter in law Jeevika but does not approve of Maanvi. There was also a sequence when Maanvi was asked not to attend Jeevika's weeding bySwamani (Seema Kapoor) and against all odds Jeevika with the help of a caring husbandViren, makes Maanvi to attend her beloved sister's wedding.
Jeevika and Viren's Married Life: Viren is as understanding and matured as Jeevika. Both develop love for each other in due course of time and had increased the fan following of the show with their chemistry on screen. The best part is that both of them are equally supporting and respectful for each other.
Maanvi and Virat Fighting: They met and fought like two spoiled teenagers who are entitled to fall in love at the end of the day. In the initial episodes all these characters did was fight and present us with some light hearted fun moments.
Maanvi and Virat Friendship/Partnership: Maanvi became a regular at Vadhera house in return Viraat became her official driver back and forth for Rishikesh to Chandigarh.During these trips they eventually became friends or shall we say partners in mischief. Also, during these visits Vadhera family started to hate her for her free spirited attitude but slowly and steadily everybody accepts her.
Cancer: It has been a major part of the show as it is one that has shaped the show the way it is today. Maanvi is diagnosed with cancer, initially this was hidden from everyone but the cat came out of the bag later due Jeevika's accident. The 'Jiju ' Saali' Jodi had a fight for the first time in the show.
Viraat's Love for Maanvi: Viraat had fallen for Maanvi, but the moment he was to propose the Love Balloon was broken by the pointed truth about Maanvi's Cancer. But this did not deter him, in fact Viraat stood by Maanvi as a strong pillar to lean on all this while.
The Cancer cat: Everybody in the family now knew about Maanvi's cancer and Jeevika decides to take care of Maanvi herself. They go to Mumbai for special treatment. While Jeevika's care was undoubtedly intense, Viraat emerged as a friend indeed who helped, supported and nurtured Maanvi utmost.
Loss of Hair: Maanvi's health was like a light switch'on and off as required by the script. The side effects of chemo were shown through great sincerity by the script, actor and director. Although every side effect brought an equivalent effect to the scriptlike the care of Viraat when Maanvi is under tremendous pain, the tears and prayers ofJeevika and family, lastly Maanvi's Hair Loss was used two ways:
- It expressed Viraat's love for Maanvi to the family and complications begin
- It was used as a message to generic people in support of cancer patients as Viraat also shaved his head to support Maanvi in this new look
Maanvi Loves Virat/ Maanvi Loves him not: While Viraat made his love evident to all, Maanvi declined to safeguard her sister's interest. Viraat decided to win her love and make her confess in seven days which happens as planned to introduce new complications.
Family against Viraat and Maanvi: Both the families detested this love story due to uncertainty of Maanvi's life. After a lot of melodrama and persuasion by Jeevika everybody readily agrees.
Jeevika Pregnant: After long happiness has welcomed them, everybody has accepted Maanvi and Viraat's love and Jeevika is all set to welcome a new member in their lives.
Bone Marrow Transplant: Maanvi's health start detouring again and only solution left tosave her is Jeevika's Bone Marrow' but the same will mean Jeevika's abortion.Maybe that's why the original rushes of the show a year ago had the background music of heartbeat; one of them had to save another.
The Great Fight: Jeevika and Maanvi end up fighting for each other's life: Jeevika and Viren (amazingly sweet of him to support her in this decision) fights against the whole family to save Maanvi's life.
Tedhi Ungli Se Ghee: Nobody agrees with Jeevika and Viren's decision of aborting the child and they see Maanvi's health deteriorating, so they decide to take an alternative route of lying. Jeevika goes through the procedure without informing anybody as they all are informed about an unknown donor for Maanvi.
Prayer's pay off: The Surgery goes smoothly and Maanvi is out of danger.
Liar's Tail on Fire: Jeevika and Viren tell everybody the truth for an instance everybody is upset and angered about the same but later they understands Jeevika's point of view and forgive her except Swamini.
The Pledge: Swamini does not approve of Jeevika's decision and is worried about the effect of the same on the family but instead of convincing or giving Swamini some time and space our little goody good Jeevika has promised Swamini to bear every trouble on herself and penance for her deeds.
So, what is in Jeevika's mind is an unknown status for now, but from past records we can say that it will be full of Drama.
The Wedding: Viraat and Maanvi's wedding is the current track of the show'. a week of events is lined for the audiences.
What's Next??
Well Jeevika is definitely up to something, her plans will come into action ones the wedding is over. So a definite answer as we said earlier is that, there is lots and lots of Drama in the Pipeline'hope this year brings in more and more love and success for Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain.
