And here comes part two to 'Dear CVs...'

There are so many issues arising from all this, ninety percent of them based on ethics and morals.

In terms of medical ethics, the whole abortion issue for a pregnant women, regardless of the issue behind the abortion, is super controversial. Conservatives would never agree with an abortion, equating it to murder of an innocent. The liberals would see it as a free choice, the woman has full rights to choose what happens with her body, it's no one else's concern. And the greater majority would lie somewhere in the middle between the two contrasts. In terms of abortion, each case is unique to the woman involved and the circumstances it's being considered in so I don't really know why people are generalising so quickly. Slamming your views down and then showing an iron fist is a show of ignorance, so guys be a bit more open in your views, you'll never know when they might change.

The main issue behind abortions regards the preservation of life, specifically when life begins. Your view on the issue will be shaped around whether life begins at conception, when the heart starts beating or at birth. Ethically, there is no wrong or right answer; there never will be because as long as man exists, they'll fight over these ideas because no one can say with evidence, just when 'life' begins.

The other medical ethics that we've encroached upon in the show is the whole hide and seek (carried on from the last post). A doctor's priority is to save life rather than to take. The hiding had inadvertently shortened Manvi's life span, because the longer they've took to take action, the worse her situation has become. Overall, whether or not it's affected her condition, the main issue arising from this is doctor-patient confidentiality. At the end of the day, Manvi is a fully grown adult woman, and therefore, whatever is spoken between her and her doctor is privy to between them. A doctor has no right, without the patients express permission, to discuss about whatever happened in the consultation room.

Not only was the confidentiality thrown out of the window, the doctor then preceded to hide the cancer from the patient. What doctor would do that? Especially when it was a life threatening illness, that hands down, was probably the most ludicrous aspect of the show so far. And now we see kinda huge errors being made by medical professionals. It seems like CVs are hell bent on destroying whatever reputation the medical service sector had.

The whole other issue we've seen is the sister or child? This isn't even in context with the abortion; Jeevika's lackadaisical approach to her pregnancy is surprising. Sure, her main concern in life at the moment is Manvi, and she's top of her list, but at the same time, even if Manvi took so much time and effort to look after, surely she could remember that she is with child. There are twenty four hours in a day, surely two minutes of those could be spent reminding her that she isn't alone any more, but she's got a little someone growing inside of her.

She doesn't have to be a superwoman to do both; it's just natural. I'm surprised that the CVs have shown her in a motherly light concerning Manvi, but yet have not shown that towards the child. Just like she knows everything about Manvi, they live for each other, breathe for each other, etc, then some of that should be reflected with the child. There would be some connection which really isn't evident; it seems Manvi is much more motherly and concerned about the child than Jeevika is.

If the writers decide to go down the abortion route, then in a purely dramatic angle, wouldn't a bigger connection to her baby (even though it's eight weeks) prove to be more heart wrenching than portraying the pregnancy as almost unwanted. Sometimes, when Jeevika is subtly reminded that she's pregnant, she's got this look of despair which has been around since the start. It would have been a lot more effective if they'd had, not Manvi and the baby on the same level, but the baby holding some sort of high place within her heart so that it kind of at least resembles Sophie's Choice, which I'm guessing they were trying to go after before completely butchering this track too.

All in all, personally, there hasn't really been any track that has culminated properly. They start off pretty well, suddenly remember in the middle that something's missing then decide to finish it early in the off chance that the viewers would just forget. So yeah, rant over, and I guess, I more or less am done with the show for now.
