Hey guys so I am on now! So many new additions yay!

@neaba - your description was beautiful. I also have an older sister and I feel the same way about her that's why I love this show!

@Sara - What happened my dearie? Your comment was random so who put your hair in a knot?

@Doc - Doc I miss you already!! Btw ever since you talk about food, kabab rolls and what not, that is all that has been on my mind. I think it's time I payed a little visit to the Indian restaurant on my campus. Btw I am just waiting for you to start venting on the cancer track or maybe I will start because it's frustrating especially seeing that cancer thread by kavya yesterday.

@Reemz - play first of all getting to listen to the actual song is awesome. I haven't heard it in years and only this show ever gave me a chance to hear it but now that doesn't happen either. Yesterday's bg music put with the scene was wayyy off I felt.

So guys since is the weekend and we don't have much to discuss I figured I will ask everyone a question.

Who here connects to the show at an emotional level due to the behna or VV brothers love because you have sister(s) or brother(s) and thus can relate to the show in one way or another.

I have read stuff from neaba aka Jessie and uniquebluerose already about sibling love, they were really sweet. Sharmi aka shadowstreet mentioned that she watches ehmmbh because she doesn't have siblings and she just wants to feel that emotional bond through the show.

p.s. Sara I will wait for your pm then.

Good question Umz. I am very close to my sisters and my younger one is literally like my baby but at the same time we give each other our individual space so I think more than the sibling connection, it's more so the unique & compelling storyline which has made me connect to JM. I've seen so many Indian serials that barely any romantic love story on television appeals to me now. I guess that's why I got attracted to Jeevika & Manvi's story because I can confidently say that I haven't seen a relationship like that before. The 'extraordinary' attracts me.

I agree Reema, we always see romantic love stories between a guy and a girl and this was something completely different. I hope they stick to the behna love when the time comes. All I have to do is look up in the top right of the IF screen for this forum to see the description of the show and my blood just curdles! These 2 girls portrayed their bond so well that I actually felt their love.

Don't get me wrong, I am a romantic as well and romance between a couple just makes me smile but only if there is something different to offer (i.e. like Gulaal, Rishta.com which had no sign of it until the very end, ccbm was interesting too as well as ipk). My taste in shows varies but there aren't many that I like anyways lol.

@Umz: Hope you don't mind me calling you that! :) lol. It's actually quite sad that we don't have anything to discuss about because of their absence >.< Hope they come back soon!! Anyways, as for your question I have a sister who I really love but I don't think behnas like JM actually exist. There are a few small things that JM do which I can relate to, because of my sister and so I guess to an extent I do connect to it emotionally. Having said that, I feel there is an unrealistic aspect to their relationship but imo that is where the beauty lies. Even though I love my sister the way she is... sometimes I look at the behnas and think 'damn! I wish my sis was like that' 🤣

Hey, yup umz is good and welcome! You can always discuss other aspects too if you want, in the end everything comes back to the sisters and will affect their story. I agree that the behnas are OTT but that is the whole point of the show, to present the viewers the story of 2 sisters who live for each other right so why digress from that? Yes they do not need to show the sisters 24/7 but still I would like to see subtle things that remind me of them.

One thing I can't stand is when people say, the sister love is unrealistic and now whatever they are showing is better. Hello? Why did you start watching this show in the first place then when you know that the story was about the sisters. Another thing, all Indian t.v. shows are unrealistic including the love stories between a guy and the girl. I agree with Reema and Mel that it is this OTTness that makes the show what it is.

They have to come back pshhh! I'm sure they will return with a BANG!! <3 Apparently Virat will find out next week and hopefully the accident will happen the week after at least :||

And yeh I agree with Mel. I think the unrealism actually makes JM stand out i.e. the extremity of their love which can be taken in a positive or negative manner.
