Hey guys, I recently did a Viren/Manvi OS (If you want to read it, it's called Rooftops and Bracelets) about their relationship and then decided to do this one on Jeevika and Virat. I think they have an amazing bond ❤️

(But this may be a bit AU for Jeevika, but my aunt gave birth on Christmas day to a healthy little boy, and let me tell you, she wanted to kill everyone in sight.)

So yeah enjoy, read, review, like, comment :P

[Part 2 is at the bottom of the page :)]

From The Inside - Part 1

"Virat, where is that idiotic brother of yours? Call him, message him, heck shoot him but tell him I NEED him NOW!" Jeevika waddled up and down the length of her room clutching onto the swollen mass of her stomach. "Virat! I don't hear any calling; you Vadhera brothers are completely use- argh" Jeevika struck her hand out to hold the back of a chair. Virat instinctively stood behind her and helped her sit down.

"Bhabhi, right now you need to calm down and re-" Jeevika looked up shooting daggers with her eyes. "Calm down? CALM DOWN? I'm having a BABY! Your Neanderthal brother's baby!" Virat sighed and moved towards the door, trying for the umpteenth time to call everyone, someone, anyone who would pick up the phone. It was just his luck that fate would find him to be the only one at home whilst his normally sweet and angelic Bhabhi went into labour with the devil's spawn.

He looked over towards Jeevika, registering her use of the breathing techniques she'd learnt in the ante-natal classes. 'Nobodies picking me; oh God, oh God she's going to murder me, she is going to murder me.' "Bhabhi, maybe the signals not good in here, I'm going to try outside." Taking advantage of her inability to get up, Virat made his escape, but not without hearing Jeevika cursing and screaming after him. "Virat! Virat! I know what you're doing; I know! Don't you dare leave me, or I promise to kill you in your sleep!"

Virat walked down the corridor towards the main lounge area, all the time keeping an ear out for Jeevika's blaring screams. 'Dadaji had to give today itself off to all the staff? That old man is first on my hit list.' He made his way towards the door, in hope that his currently most hated person in the world would walk in through the door any second; but alas Viren was nowhere to be seen, or heard. "What do I do? What do I do? Come on Virat, think. You went to one of those stupid ante-natal classes with her; come on you must remember something... Ice cubes! I'll give her ice cubes."

Virat made his way to the kitchen where he raided the freezer of the ice cubes before turning and running towards the sound of a very angry and very hormonal Jeevika. "Bhabhi here." He presented the tray of ice cubes to Jeevika who looked bewildered by the whole situation. "Ice cubes? Virat what the hell am I supposed to do with ice cubes?" Virat smiled, which disappeared as soon as he caught site of Jeevika's stare. "Do you remember that class that I went to with you? That fat lady said something about eating ice cubes or something..."

Jeevika grabbed the tray from him and popped one in her mouth. Virat smiled at himself; he'd managed to calm Jeevika, but that was until she again started to fidget about and scream and curse, which from Virat's perspective was not a very pretty sight. 'Pregnant lady... screaming... baby... Idea! I'll search online, there must be something...' Virat ran out of Jeevika and Viren's room towards his own where he picked up his laptop and ran back. "Virat, what the hell. I'm having a baby and you want to sit and facebook your friends?"

"Bhabhi, as you know I have never done this before and neither have you and it kinda sucks that the people who have done this before are currently not here and not picking up phones. So here's my remedy- the internet." Jeevika popped another ice cube in her mouth whilst she started pacing back and forth, giving Virat wary looks every now and again. "Bhabhi, you need to eat, drink, relax, sleep, yadda-yadda-yadda... We already know all of this, you daft machine!" Virat was at wit's end, he couldn't take it anymore.

Just then, Virat's phone rang and without any hesitation he picked up. "Hello?" There was no sound and Virat was ready to give up. "Virat... son... line bad... what's wrong?" He recognised his mother's voice and breathed a sigh of relief. "Ma, Bhabhi's having the baby. The baby is coming now. What do I do?" Again there was silence on the other end. "...baby now?... should... another two weeks... we're stuck... heavy rain... take her... hospital... on your own..." Once Virat deciphered his mother's message to him, he nearly collapsed in frustration. "Ma, I am going to cry. I can't do this... Ma? Ma!"

"What's happened, why did Ma cut the phone?" Virat turned round to face the calmish Jeevika. "They're stuck; the weather's really bad which is affecting the line. We're on our own..." Jeevika wanted to cry; she wanted to shout, scream, swear and cry. "Virat I can't do it; I really can't do it. You do realise there is a completely new life inside of me, and I can't do it alone. I want this thing out of me now." Virat walked over to Jeevika to stand in front of her. "Bhabhi, remember you've come this far. My little nephew's been in there for eight and a half months, surely you can last a few more hours? And besides when Virat is here, why fear?"

"Hours? Hours! Virat you are as useful as a flipping donkey! You expect me to go through a couple of 'hours' of labour with you? And how do you know it's a boy, huh? What if it's a girl; no matter what it is, I'll poison its mind against you and your brother and your entire family, you mark my words." Jeevika stood holding on to the balcony rail, inhaling deep breaths of the humid air. 'God, just kill me now; there is no way we both can endure the next couple of hours without killing each other or more specifically Bhabhi killing me.'

Jeevika picked up her phone and dialled the number which she knew like the back of her hand. She waited, and waited, and waited only to hear the disconnection tone. Frustrated she threw her phone out of the window, realizing seconds later what she had done. "Virat..." She looked over to him, the tears threatening to fall. "Virat... my phone..." She stretched her arm out towards the direction of the window. "Virat... phone... window... stupid Manvi..." Virat was not prepared for the release of the waterworks. It took him a further half an hour to calm the hysterical Jeevika and finally get her to sleep.

Virat sat on the edge of the bed watching Jeevika sleeping. His was reminded of his own mother. 'It's weird, they'll scream and shout and moan about the pain but as soon as the baby is born, they'll love them like they've known them for their whole lives. I guess this bond of nine months is completely unique. I wonder if Ma was like this... With Papa right next to her, holding her hand. It's strange, until now, I've never understood what it was to be a mother, but Bhabhi... yeah she's threatening murder right now, but I can see the love in her eyes. My nephew is going to have the best parents in the world as well as the best uncles.'

Jeevika began to stir; the last two hours he'd ended up reading up on labour and figured that Jeevika would start having more frequent contractions. "Virat, help me up." He stood and moved towards her placing his arms around her shoulders pulling her up. He offered her the glass of water which she took thankfully and drank. She placed her hand instinctively on her stomach. She moved her hand round searching for something but not finding it. Virat knew straight away when she looked up at him that something was wrong. "Virat, I can't feel the baby. He's not moving..."

Despite the lack of medical training, Virat knew this was bad, he knew this was very bad. Without a second thought he helped her up and grabbed a hold of the baby bag they'd had kept ready for the last two weeks. He held her hand as they made their way out of her room, down the stairs and into the car gradually. Just as he was about to get into the car, his phone rang; checking the caller ID he was beyond glad. "Virat, what's happened; I've had fifteen missed calls from you." Virat peered into the car to make sure Jeevika was fine. "Bhabhi started to go into labour about three-fourish hours ago, and she can't feel the baby moving. I'm taking her to the hospital; when you land, come straight there. Bye." He disconnected the call and got into the car before driving to the hospital.

~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~

Virat paced up and down the hospital room whilst Jeevika silently cried. "Virat, I'm scared. They're not saying anything; what if... what if anythi-" Virat stopped his pacing and looked directly at Jeevika. "Bhabhi, whatever happens from here on out... all I can say is that I'm here, and I won't go anywhere. I'll be right here." She reached out her hand to him which he grasped tightly within his own. "Virat I'm scared."

"To say the truth, I'm scared too. If it's good, it's good; if it's bad then it is bad. What's written in our destinies is our fate, we can't fight it... It's a strange thing, life; it gives us what we want the most and has the awful habit of stealing that away from us. If this is written in your destiny, then what can we do..." Jeevika stroked her stomach, tears flowing from her eyes. "I used to think we were invincible until I lost the most precious thing to me; but I had my family which is something you have. We'll be there whatever happens."

He leant in towards her stomach, whispering to the body inside. "I know for certain that you're written in my destiny. So why don't you stop scaring your mummy, huh. We're all so anxious to meet you, especially your daddy who's gonna shower you with so much love. But not more than me; I'm gonna give you everything you'll ever want, all you have to do is come out." He stood back up and placed his hand on the side of Jeevika's stomach. The stillness sent shivers up his spine, until he felt the faintest of pressures against his hand.

"Bhabhi, did yo-" He was interrupted by a harder pressure against his hand, and then a whimper of pain from Jeevika. She looked towards him and her face broke out into a smile which was soon joined by Virat's laughter. "Virat, my stupid donkey." She held onto his hand whilst he breathed a sigh of relief. 'Thank you, thank you, thank you and thank you.'

Wow this was so touching and just beautifull. Lmao jeevikas behavior lol. This was brilliant. Imagine if it was jeevikas husband viren instead of her dewar virat. Viren would have gone nuts. But loved the way you reflected bhabi dewar realtionship. It was mind-blowing. especially virats talk with his nephew loved it the most. I could actually imagine virat and his little nephew and virat spoiling him. Wish it happens in the show. Loved it. Please add this to ehmmbh fan fic thread

OMG, This is really one of its kind. Awesome simply awesome. Loved Jeevika's reaction and how scared was Virat freaking out big time. Poor Virat, he muz have seen another side of his lovely bhabhi... But the dude definitely got his practice to prepare for his wife's delivery. Really enjoyed reading it, could feel the bond between the bhabi-devar and his unborn nephew in the midst of the hungama happening. 👏

So I thought I might just come back to this for a little continuation. This is a lot more calm and sentimental. No laughs guys. I absolutely love the potential of this relationship; I just wish the CVs would invest in it as well.

So the theme of this is that real vs reel. In real life, there isn't the fairy tale ending, things rarely go as planned. Things happen that we can't control; we have insecurities, we face incomprehensible sadness and grief, but we ultimately have to pick up the pieces and move on. Life waits for no one...

A quick thank you to -Talli- and ashred 12 for commenting and I am really glad you liked the first bit :)

And rev4eva, omg what can I say, I absolutely love your comments, thank you so much :)

(PS: This is my brain child, and it definitely won't make sense, and I doubt it's much good, but I felt like posting something because I haven't for a while. It's a bit on the short side so please forgive me for that. To be honest, there's not much point in this plot wise, but what the heck: Have fun reading this =])

It might make a bit more said if you read the first part to this, but to be honest, it's not necessarily needed. Enjoy.

Here goes part two:

From The Inside - Part 2

"Virat tumhara coffee; no sugar with the teensiest, tiniest amount of cream." The steaming cup was placed on the flush marble patio table. Virat looked up to see the petite figure of Jeevika showering him with a concerned look. With a sigh he turned again to the lights in the distance, giving her a quick thank you. Once he reckoned she wouldn't move, he shifted over to make room on the cushioned bench.

"So tell me Bhabhi, how was your day?" She gave him a quick smile before positioning herself in the comfy niche of the heavily padded bench. "No school; we're in Musoorie, I get to spend the whole day with my son; how else would I spend my day?" She bent her head forward, tilting it to face Virat letting the smile disappear off of her face. She sighed before following his gaze towards the sea of stars in the open expanse above them.

Silence enveloped them, whilst the coffee mugs were left dejected and forgotten. Virat turned his gaze towards Jeevika, and took a moment to revel in his thoughts. 'Kehsah takhat hai yeh, orr kahaa se aata hai? Itna huah orr Bhabhi...' The sudden lump in his throat made swallowing uncomfortable and he turned towards the neglected mug of lukewarm coffee. He felt a hand on his forearm; the coldness startled him and he turned towards what had encapsulated Jeevika's admiration.

"Look there! Right there, it's a shooting star. Quick, make a wish." He stared at the glimmer of light flying though the sky; his eyes found themselves closing on their own accord. His gaze once again fell on the petite figure on his right. With her hands clasped so tight and her eyes squeezed shut, Jeevika looked like an innocent child, relishing in the normalities of childhood. She opened her eyes slowly, letting them adjust to the darkness of her surroundings before turning to her left. Her child like grin gradually found itself being mirrored of Virat's face.

She laughed an almost embarrassed laugh, "What!" Virat replied with a shake of his head. "You know, when I was a kid, I'd climb onto the rooftop terrace in Hrishikesh and I'd spend hours staring at the sky. I'd watch the sky as it turned from blue, to orange, until the faintest blush of pink would leave to turn to turquoise. That was my favourite; when you'd catch the first glimpse of the stars. I mean that was just beautiful. Knowing that somewhere up there our loved ones are looking down at us; that's just the greatest comfort there is..." She let herself trail off as she scanned the sky for the brightest stars.

"Whenever I felt down or sad, I'd just stare out of my window. Bhabhi, when I look up at the sky, I feel Papa's presence. I hardly knew him, but I'm just glad that his memories are kept alive in Bhai and Ma." Jeevika turned towards Virat, spending a little time in thought. She once again outstretched her hand towards him. "You're living proof of your dad. Don't ever forget that whatever happens happens for a reason." He looked towards her before sighing once again.

"I guess today's date is really inauspicious for our family. Everything is linked to this date. Our happiness, our sadness; everything. Papa's been on my thoughts all day. Today was his birthday and the day that he... Ma hasn't spoken all day; she gets like this every year and Dadaji would spend the day under a carpet of work. I know deep down they all blame me; they'll never say it but they do. I mean if I hadn't – then he wouldn't have – and he'd still be here today."

She clasped his hand within her own and softly tugged on their joined hands. "Virat, don't say that. Whatever happened was not your fault, and what do you know? You were just a small child. That car wouldn't have slowed down in time..." He looked down towards his feet unable to accept the same statement that he'd heard for the last seventeen years. "Virat, how do I explain it to you? It wasn't your fault and nobody blames you." She sighed before getting up and collecting the now cold mug of coffee. She let the silence settle before turning towards the open French doors. "He loved you unconditionally, just remember that. You were the last thought in his head, cherish that."

She left him to divulge this new information. He once again looked towards the stars, breathing in the cold night air. He knew it would take him a while to understand and accept the facts.

~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~

He followed the trail of light on the floor towards the bay window seat which was situated in the alcove between the stairs. It was way past midnight and the statuesque Jeevika sat with her legs folded under her. He leaned against the wall, cautious of any noise he made as the peaceful Jeevika seemed to tranquil to disturb. It was a few minutes later that he dared pipe up. "How do you do it?" She turned towards his voice, visibly letting out a breath before giving him a quizzing look. "I don't understand, do what?"

"You've lost so much, life's been so unfair to you and still you're so calm and composed. How do you deal with it all?" She took her time analyzing what he'd said before replying to him. "When life takes so much away from you, then God gives you the strength to stand it. It depends how you use that strength." She turned towards the windows again, memorising the shapes of the distant trees. "When I lost my parents then all my attention and focus fell on Manvi. She needed me more than I needed to console myself. Maybe I'm like this because of I was thrust in the deep end from the start; I don't know." She turned again towards the silent Virat, staring into his eyes. "And maybe you were wrong that day; maybe he just wasn't written in my destiny... in our destiny."

He nodded in understanding before moving towards the stairs, following the path out of the house and out of the garden to the large pond on the side of the house. He followed the candle lit trail towards the labyrinth of trees, his arm extended out, and the indexes of his fingers brushing the various leaves. His feet led him to a stone figurine with bouquets of flowers kept at its feet. He traced the inscription in the stone work, his fingertips feeling numb: 'V. VADHERA 03/11/2011 – 17/02/2012'

Sorry, I did warn you :L
This is my weird brain child which probably won't make sense.

It's Jeevika's kid from the first part who is dead, and as this is a completely Virat and Jeevika-centric OS, no other characters, sorry, just like brief mentions.

Yeah... makes no sense; don't worry I'll re-do it sometime in the future, but it is currently nearly 2am; but thank you for commenting :)
