Am in a bit philosophical mood today...thanks to the issues revolving around my life...and in this state of mind watched the episode today. 😆 So, my disclaimer beforehand... i might go a bit overboard in this post...hope am forgiven for that. 😳😆
As per me... today's episode revolved around one person...and that was Viren Singh Vadera... firstly, in the scene where Swamini says abt his room's decoration...n then when everyone's teasing him. So, thought of analyzing his character a bit. Let's see how it goes 😳😆 Would love to know from you guys!
Viren...a simple guy...who has everything that one could wish for...yet, he had n has his share of bouncers from life...the first one being the death of his dad...which changed the lives of the bro's in many ways. Despite having everything...there has been certain emptiness n loneliness in life. Not just this...every person in his house, in his life...has always had many expectations from him. Expectations of being an ideal grandson, elder son (not just for his own mom..but for his badi maa too), nephew, elder bro. Also, his profession is the one which has inherent expectations in it...and coming from the Vadera family...those increase manifolds.
With sooo many expectations attached...one has very less chances to falter...coz that would mean hurting or disappointing his dear n loved ones, which he can never afford. So, for him, life has always meant living for others...his own happiness, his sorrows, his life...maybe, amongst fulling his responsibilties in the various roles, he never got to ponder over these...and think abt HIMSELF!
The first bit of the epi...His room...yes, its decorated in accordance with his taste...with his liking...but maybe, there are things which he has just accepted coz he doesn't wanted his badi maa to feel bad. I'm no way saying that Swamini doesn't know him or anything...my point is just that...knowing Viren...if he doesn't like the setting or anything, he would never let Swamini get the slightest of hint...coz these are all just materialistic things...the love she has given to him, and the happiness she must;ve got from getting his room designed, keeping into view his likes and dislikes...nothing could be more important than that. Room, its setting, its decoration...they are almost non-existent in front of the love n happiness of his badi maa!
As for Vanshika...he has a pretty casual relation with her...she's the only one with whom he doesn't as such care for the protocol...like he could easily tell her that he'd eat the kheer she made for him later. But then, i feel, at times...he is stuck b/w the two women...and he has to draw a balance there...so that none of them feels bad. What about his own stance...that takes the back seat n he ensures that none of the the ladies feels neglected or thinks that she has been given less importance than the other. Diffiicult situations at times...isn't it so?
The obedient grandson of his Dadaji...Viren considers the old man as his role model n wants to be like him in everything...be it his professional life...or personal. Not just this, Viren is Dadaji's hope...what his own sons couldn't do...he is doing...so, the man has lots of expectations form the young guy. And Viren strives very hard not to fall short of these expectations...coz he cannot disappoint his Dadaji...and for this...he has to be just like him...a a thorough professional and a disciplined person, who keeps work at the top most priority. It really is a tough task!
Coming to his Chacha...the position he should've had...esp. when it comes to the profession...that Viren belongs to... Dadaji trusts the capabilities of the grandson more...finds him more competent (which he is)...and thus, the Chacha, instead of taking the lead... comes after him. But doesn't this mean added responsibility (in a way) for Viren? Chacha, who coudl've been a mentor for him...seeks his guidance...and is dependant on him for the legal suits n cases. And thus, the major chunck of the burden fell on him...and carrying that burden... with all the dignity, so that he doesn't harm the reputation of the Vadera family... is a huge task!
I don't think I have to go into the details of the Viren-Virat relationship. I really enjoy the bond these two share...its very realistically shown. The bro's are extremely close to each other...but the best thing i find abt them is...they give each other the much needed space. Virat has a past..and maybe that's why, Viren choses not to share his issues with his bro. They are there for each other...in happiness and in sorrow...but like i said...both of them, keep their personal problems to themselves..not wanting the other to worry. They both already have lots in their hands to deal with...even if just the daily chores of life.
Amidst all this...where does he have the time to think about himself...esp when there are lots and lost of expectations from him?? He has to keep everyone happy...balance the various roles he have...and in all that, he can't possibly think abt himself.
So, for doing this on his behalf...finally he found his companion...who is there for HIM...only HIM! Who is there to think about him..share his happiness, his sorrows, his pain, be his constant strength and his support. Thus, after years of sailing alone in the sometimes rough, n sometimes smooth sea...Viren has found his partner...who will be there to hold his hand in times of roughness, and they both will sail along side to enter the smooth patch.
And this process has already started...
I'm sure some of u might not be appreciating the way Viren left Jeevika on their wedding night and went to inquire abt the person who was attacked by Jaiswal's men. But as per me...THIS scene defined the JV relationship..their bond...the bond they share n will share as men n wife. Loved how Jeevika said..."By now i know this much abt u...and i know that u can't let any innocent person suffer". There was not just relief...but pride in Viren's eyes. He was thankful to his stars for bringing Jeevika in his life...who knows and understands him. And when she says..."you don't worry...just go n take care of urself...i'll wait for you..." one can clearly see the love, respect n affection in Viren's eyes for his wife...who doesn't stop him from going...who doesn't throw tantrums...who knows that his work is of utmost importance atm...so, she won't stop him...all she wants is his safety. And my most fav bit came after this...which inspired me to make this long n boring post 😳...and that is...Viren going to the door...turning back...with a relieved mind n heart, smiling...and simply saying..."thank you for understanding me..." and closes the door after they both share a brief eye lock. Yes...they both have found their companions...and with the glow of this understanding and love...the darkness of emptiness and loneliness has vanished from their lives. KT-KD, both did a wonderful job in the scene.
I know this is getting long...but will just say...those of you who think that how could Viren leave Jeevika...trust me...coming from a family of lawyers...this is how life is for them. Its just work, files, books n cases. Here, maybe it was a bit over done (coz its a show) and Viren left on the wedding night...but my mom always used to tell us... that two days after their wedding...my dad was back in the court for some imp. case. 😆 So, today i was watching the epi with her n when Viren left...she was like...seee, this is why i don't want anyone to marry a lawyer 🤣
Guess, have bored you guys enough. Hopefully, you didn't sleep while reading this loong post 😆As always, looking foward to your comments and criticism. 😳

LOL...Priyanka...no comparison posts from me, buddy 😆 So, rest assured...mine would do some analysis, rather than igniting fights for no reason 😉😆 Guess...we have plenty of them already 😆
Aww!! Thanks for liking my posts...yep, hardly make now. Today also..if it wasn't my mood...i wouldn't have made this.

Well, i try n find the links within n b/w the characters...so, that's why make references to the scences like the kheer one n all. Glad that u liked it.
LOL...i'm more for emotional stuff rather than the romance, which is mostly very cheesy. Also, like I said...i can understand Viren...mayb coz, my dad's a lawyer...n we've had to cancel lots n lots of our plans just coz he can't take days off...or some imp hearing comes. But yeah...going on the wedding night..that was too much!
Thanks for commenting 😊

First of all, I think you write really well! You have a way with words :)

Secondly, you made me wonder because I never really saw Viren as a lonely being as such. I think he's a deep thinker but at heart a very simple man who is seeking the perfect life partner whom is Jeevika of course. I'm sure more layers are yet to come (from all the main leads actually) but like I said, he seems like a 'seedha saadha' guy looking for his dream woman who will be just his. So I wouldn't say his life was empty till now but yes, he has found his better half in the right woman who is as caring as he is towards the people she loves.

I agree with what you said regarding his equation with Virat. They are very close but they give that space to each other which in reality I prefer myself. I wish he was closer to Vanshika because we see that yearning in her eyes to have her son and not to have to be second place to Swamini. Which mother would like that? :(

oh well Ashu... 😆 I can pick lines from yer mega rant that I can bring myself to agree with.. maybe just the Viren-Virat bit.. JUST THAT.. I completely disagree with your reading of Viren on convictional ground😆 you know where I am headed.. but somehow yer post was a little what do I say... fairytale (lonely soul finally meets his mate types) and imaginative/ philosophical like you said.. realism is what I root for.. and hence I aint convinced...

yer basic premise of Viren gave a very sorry picture of a poor lil lonely boy.. totally dont see him like that.. esp COZ of his convictions.. its not coz people have expectations from you that you feel bound to deliver.. its sorta the other way round.. you have this inherent sense of responsibility and you dont know of any other way but deliver.. and hence yer family builds that expectation from you.. I am a living example of that.. when Viren's dad died.. he was shattered.. and definitely grew up before his time.. and I am so glad Swamini took him under her patronage.. she imbibed and honed what was his psyche.. the convictions he upholds.. the sense for duty, the colossal sense of accountability, respecting norms... I can bet a million even if Swamini had trained Virat he wouldnt turn that way.. coz Virat is a different person.. he is more of a free spirit..

I cant help draw parallels with VV.. IMV honed his skill set.. but what he had inherently was his sheer sense of objectivity and strong convictions on realism.. I see that in Viren.. where you see a lack of mentor in Chachaji I see a mentor in both Swamini and Dadaji.. Viren is a voracious learner for me.. hence he holds Dadaji and Swamini's influence on himself so close.. he has never really shown any disregard for the strict discipline.. what you are talking about DOING for someone.. could only be his own projection coz he hasnt known any other way... It was pretty apparent in his drunk scene.. when he told Virat.. he never thought he was meant to be in love.. not coz he was lonely.. or didnt care for it.. coz he thought he wasnt cut out for it.. whatever be the reason- his dad's death may be contributory.. but his sheer dedication towards his career could be it too.. why does he have to be living FOR someone's expectations.. such that he had no time to think for himself.. in fact in the emotional scene with Swamini he very smartly voiced his investment towards Jeevika yet putting Swamini in a spot by making her the authority to decide.. the guy has tact...like Reemz said.. there is yet time for his layers to be unearthed.. he hasnt made a strong statement yet.. coz till now he hasn't had that ownership.. or sense of responsibility for someone else..

every person in his or her life comes to a point where he looks fwd to a companion.. someone he /she can come back home to and share his convictions and feelings with.. and Viren is lucky to have found that someone and has even invested his emotions.. so NOW you will see when he has to stand up for the girl.. what he does.. that hasnt been explored yet.. his protective instinct hasnt been challenged yet.. he isnt someone who would compromise with his convictions.. as dear as he holds them.. yes he hasnt been shown to have friends.. well for tht matter none of the 4 leads have been...😆 on that ground I fail to acknowledge that as loneliness and emptiness.. Swamini has in some ways been his pillar of support.. and he is one of those duty machine that hasnt sat down to contemplate on his emptiness.. trust me I totally relate to it.. coz I am that.. we live to work.. not work to live.. you have to agree that law isnt just a profession for him.. its his passion.. so there.. on those ground he wld come across as individualistic😉

its all in the perspective.. now that he has a companion.. he wil find a vent to his emotions.. or hopefully will coz JM might be a conflict cause.. Jeevika's emotional unavailability may be a deterrent.. thts when I'll think there is emptiness in his life.. when you desire for something and dont get it.. thats pain..

and trust me.. as I see Viren.. reminds me of Salman in HSSH.. for him room colors etc matter the least.. till yest Swamini prided herself in taking care of his amenities.. tomorrow Viren still wont care but would love to see Jeevika take initiative.. if tht makes her happy.. its in perspectives dude.. we do things for others sometimes coz tht makes us happy.. but there are certain things so personal and individualistic that no one can touch it..

as for Viren leaving on SR.. tht was far fetched.. being in medicine/scientific research. we have no morning/ nite.. 🤣 I havent come home at nites idk how many times.. mom insists I find a kindred.. so he understands my erratic work..😆 but I think I wanna tame a bit now.. 😆 do normal hrs..

Oh forgot to add.. I somehow love Swamini's protective instinct for Viren😆 I am all for ppl with clear convictions and tht female is all abt it.. loved her I dont care but I am by yer side even if it means m being politically incorrect😆😎 loved the pride in her eyes then.. and Viren's reciprocation.. in fact she was genuinely hurt to hear Virat call it boring🤣 like she really invested herself for Viren's room..in her own way.. getting the best or w/e.. 😆 no wonder Jeevika placated her.. coz she has pretty well figured Swamini- Viren's protective affections for each other.. so Manvi for Jeevika and Swamini for Viren is the major point of conflict like we have seen b4.. and now the battles will be drawn even better.. let the combat begin I say..😆
