No doubt Nia is a fantastic actress, she's so good that she can give any top Bollywood actress a run for their money but I've always believed that the script, screenplay and direction are the real heroes of any show or movie.

Just watching the first few episodes and watching the direction now...there's quite a palpable difference. The scenery was par excellence and fine I understand that we can't get Rishikesh/Massourie every day in a soap but that doesn't mean the camera can't capture the given moments as beautifully as they did in the first few episodes. Like Jeevika's entry when she's walking towards the camera, it was very simple but so poignant. One thing I really liked is how the characters were NOT stuck to one position like you see in EVERY show. You don't have to sit through watching every expression in the room one by one. They weren't in that rigid posture instead they moved around. I'll take a sister scene as an example...! The scene where Jeevika goes to wake Manvi up in the morning. In those few minutes, there was a lot of movement. They weren't sitting in one place! Those nuances gave that movie-like feel but that's not the case any more.

Jeevika definitely does need more to do but at the same time, I think she will be a surprise package hence I'm not too worried there. Like I've said before, when she does finally speak up...it will create a lot of drama. She is not there to look pretty and blush only!

Finally, I'm not sure how Virat getting Manvi to the wedding is AT ALL plausible?! Don't think from the couple's fan POV but instead think how it would fit in the actual storyline? She has PROMISED Beeji she will not attend the wedding for her DI's sake who is above everything & everyone for her. So if anyone could convince her it would be either Jeevika or Beeji and seeing as though Beeji took the promise, it's only right that she breaks Manvi free from it. I honestly can't fathom how Virat getting Manvi will do anything for the main plot 😕

Nice post, Reemz...LOL I haven't noticed so many nuances in the recent epis thought. All I know is that the show is in DRAG mode...even today's epi was blahh and repetitive to me...this entire cycle of 'Maanvi pulls a prank, big hungama, Maanvi crying, running to her di, apologizing to everyone' has gotten way too repetitive within this shaadi setting only...they need to shake things up and move the story now...I'm already beyond bored of this shaadi.

These past few episodes have been quite boring and the stagnant in terms of story development. There seems to be some change in the production department also and it is evident in the lack of those original subtle scenes between the characters...especially Jeevika and Manvi. There was no point of injecting Viren's case stuff in between the wedding stuff in my opinion. It makes it look too soap-y.😳
I also don't get why they stretch the wedding for so long with random and unnecessary celeb performances instead of keeping it short and moving on with story! Manvi's little performance during Mehndi was appropriate and realistic than this sangeet stuff. Sangeet stuff was just not up to the mark anyhow...it seemed forced and rushed.
I hope this wedding drama is done soon and they get back to the original track, i.e. Manvi's illness and Jeevika juggling her responsibilities of being an elder sister to Manvi as well as wife/DIL.

@manvi attending wedding--- jeevika and most importantly Beeji should be the one to bring her out to the wedding more than anyone else as she is the one who had Manvi promise for Jeevika.

Omg showing everyone's reaction is the worst😳 Something happens and BAM! Camera on the mother, father, guy, girl, chacha, chachi, dada dadi, Ramu kaka, kaamwali bai, etc. 😳 This show they don't do that that much and I like that but like nureat said, the shaadi track is getting a bit boring cuz they're dragging it. I know they wanna show all the rasams and stuff but like please pick up the pace😆

For what I think about Manvi coming to the wedding it will directly indirectly be Swamini...yes Swamini not virat nor beeji..."I can't see tears in your eyes" was said for a reason by swamini, so during the wedding Jeevika will be sad and someone will pin point her expressions and call manvi down, since it was Swamini who told Beeji to keep Manvi away from her I feel she will also be the cause of manvi coming to the wedding.

I haven't noticed the nuances either because they aren't really concentrating on the subtleties it seems.

Agree the last few episodes have been dragging but I keep telling myself what the actors claim that the real story will begin after the wedding so I still have some hope 😛 I don't want to let go of the show yet but man I wish the episodes flowed like the first few weeks :(

I agree with you 100%. The best actor in the world couldn't do anything without a good script and writing. And direction is key in showing off the actors ability and portraying the writing effectively.

I haven't been watching Indian shows in recently as I have found too many off them too melodramic in stories to there's too much going on with sound, dialogue, effects that it takes away from the essence of a scene and emotion. ( not that all shows ate like this and some English shows are ridiculously over the top).

But what is so great is this show (and I've only started watching two weeks ago) is its subtly in moments. It doesn't need to force something to occur, but comes across very natural.

The directors have definitely changed, that I know!

We don't get that many JM scenes anyway. One thing I do appreciate is that the sister's relationship does linger around in every episode even when they aren't together. Maybe the Viren case was part of the original plot? I would like to think that they have a strong plot for the long term (apparently they do anyway) so they haven't changed anything there.

Yeh it only makes sense that Beeji (hopefully due to Jeevika) brings Manvi to the wedding. Jeevika still needs to find out a lot of things e.g. Manvi's illness, the promise...the jewellery!

What happened to the 13 gifts??

I agree...seeing the camera zooming in to 10 diff peopple's facesin like 60 seconds gives you nothing but a headche!
As far as Virat bringing Manvi to the wedding is concerned..it really would just addmore conflict to the plot, if nothing else! By the way, it's a VERY torturous, heartbreaking promise though not attending your own sister's wedding..and not just a sister, but someone who is a motherly figure for you..whom your entire LIFE depends on...I can feel for Maanvi 😭
