Sorry but in real world no one calls a child an orphan if mother dies. Words like orphan and yateem are used for kids who lost their father.
In fact I used to get irritated when people called them orphans and ask my parents why they used this word when mother was alive.
Sakshi did try to stop Shaurya from bets and tried to keep him away from Karan. But he didn't obey and Rajnath as a father instead of cooperating with Sakshi, encouraged Shaurya to bet on women and keep that company.
He used to tell Sakshi that she nagged too much. And said same to Shaurya. I hope you remember those episodes!
What does that say about role of Rajnath as a father? What does it say about contributors to Shaurya's character?
No way can only Sakshi be blamed for what Shaurya is when Rajnath also equally helped cover up rape case, killed a man for Shaurya, partnered with minister to save Shaurya, encouraged him to bet, never disciplined him, never asked him how was he using his money and drawing from his account.
Finally a fully grown up person with all facilities in life is responsible for his actions. You cannot completely blame his parents for what crime he committed.
The fault of this show is that it simply blamed parents, and specifically just the mother than make a criminal accountable for his own actions.
Rajnath was himself cheating on Raima and both Shaurya and him laughed over this secret. Shaurya never listened to his mom, never bothered about her scolding and warning. He thought she was a fool. She finally, out of helpless attachment covered up crimes and that too using Rajnath's money and influence. Raj too helped her cover up for Shaurya.
Mothers have tendency to get too attached to kids and try to defend them. It is the father who has to maintain discipline and also see to it that mother doesn't go blind in her love. That is why a father is called head of the family as he has to lead and guide them. Not just because he is a breadwinner.
Rajnath did nothing. No excuse of his failure as a parent for the kind of man he is.
Did Raj stop Sakshi from using his name and money to cover up for Shaurya? Did he keep tabs on how Shaurya was using money? BIG NO.
So how is he not equally guilty?
The writer is basically sexist and was gloating on Twitter how Sakshi waa disowned by Shaurya! Though it is Sakshi who ought to have disowned such a son! The writer was talking as if Shaurya had higher moral ground than Sakshi!😲
The writers copied Revenge in a stupid way. Emily can target Victoria because it was she who killed her father. Targetting Sakshi here alone is bullshit because actual crime on Durga's family was committed by Shaurya and his friends and not Sakshi!
This is a failed clash.
