Payal actually protected Rishi

I had always maintained EHT has shown every woman as a protective force in a man's life and how he dealt with her resulted in his way up or down eventually. When Mrs Ganguly and Mrs Basu were silent their husbands had a good image in society. The moment these ladies decided to speak against their atrocities along with their speech both these men lost everything they held near and dear. Sakshi already told. Durga, Suchitra also I had already told.
Though I had never expected it after seeing yesterday's epi I am quite happy that they have shown Payal the rape victim also as a protector. In showing her as a protector CVs have actually delivered a very strong message. A woman easily forgives the gravest crimes for a drop of kindness shown to her, then why is the man so much bent on abusing her again and again.
So why do I tell her as a protector. When Rishi asks her to escape he extracts a promise from her that she will not tell the truth to anyone even to Nithya. And he lies to Shaurya that Payal hit him and escaped. During the trial he is also an accused rapist. Actually given the circumstances if Payal had broken the promise and told Nithya about what happened, and if the news of Rishi helping Payal had leaked out Shaurya wouldn't have spared Rishi or his family. He would have destroyed them as Shaurya hates betrayals.
Even when coward Rishi was ok being accused rapist, even while suffering humiliation Payal didn't break the promise she gave to Rishi for listening to her and being kind enough to let her go on that fateful horrific night.
And yesterday even while Rishi told he is a coward which he is Payal didn't show any hatred towards him. She was still thankful for that drop of kindness he provided her and again thankful for saving her second time.
And one thing I know if Rishi shows enough courage to accept his crime and take a stand for her in front of the world she will give the testimony that will make a hero out of him.
And that is what woman is. A man doesn't win when he overpowers her physically, he wins when he conquers her heart.
I want that to be one of Shaurya's biggest punishment. He betrayed by his own friend not once, but twice. The guy who he has bullied like anything to walk his line being afraid of him taking the glory from under his feet while he becomes the most hated man in whole of Kolkatta.

Shruthi I was just about to make a post on Rishi 😆 I know many are probably criticizing the CVs and calling this track a blooper. But lets take it right from the start. It was always shown that Rishi was the only voice of reason among the group. Karan and Tarun were more than happy being side kicks of Shaurya without any brains. They blindly followed Shaurya. And also on the night of the rape, I still remember Payal walking like a zombie on the streets when Raima found her. If she was in that state, then how could she overcome a guy and escape? I had a strong feeling that one among them had not raped her and let her escape. Lets face it. A guy is physically much stronger than a woman and its not possible for any woman to just push a guy off her n run away that too when she is in no fit state to think or act.

Rishi was scared of Shaurya and who won't be? Shaurya was a Goenka and he knew he stood no chance against them. Was it so out of character for him to not go against them and let Shaurya believe that he was also a partner in crime? I feel the only reason Shaurya let his friends rape Payal was to have some sort of assurance that he was not alone in this deed. I know it sounds twisted but for criminals it gives them immense solace to know they were not the only ones who have committed a crime. Even if they get punished they will have company. Thats how sadistic and selfish one can get. They don't mind going to hell as long as they drag someone along with them. If Shaurya knew Rishi had let Payal escape then he would have killed him off first for betraying him and then to ensure his ugly truth never came out coz if Rishi could be humane enough to not rape a girl then he can go and support her later exposing him.

Sometimes it takes a drastic action to shake someone out of apathy and after the rape this was the first time Shaurya plotted something against Payal which made Rishi take a stand. This was planned all along I suppose and the CVs didn just come up with it to give this show a twist. The subtle hints were always there. Besides wont it be karmic justice if one of Shaurya's friends backstabbed him when he least expected it?

@Fieryheart Shaurya needs to be betrayed by his friend reason I still remember him mocking at Nithya asking her where is Dev and telling her she needs to know at the hour of need one will be with one's family.
He again berated his mother in tue epi talking about Raima affair telling she didn't know. he didn't feel how it must have been for Sakshi when her best friend betrayed.
So Shaurya has to not only know what it feels to be betrayed, but he also has to know the woman over whom he thought he won over by assaulting her telling in front of the world some good things about his friend. That needs to be part of his punishment.

@Shruthi - Please call me Mandy 😆 I had changed my UN sometime ago. Payal did protect Rishi by not revealing he was 'NOT' the culprit. But I had a feeling that Rishi isn like the others and I may sound hypocritical for making this point here coz anyways its revealed now. But that was the feeling I had from a long time n since Rishi never played much of a role I never voiced it out.

@Mandy Rishi is like those misguided youths who get into bad company seeing the glitz and glamour. But after a certain period of time though he is fed up with it unable to come out of it due to many crimes that surrounds the group and fear of death.
We cant say it doesn't happen in real life. There are many people who are in Rishi's condition. We can say show courage but as I said in some other post also. It is easy to preach difficult to practice.
Sitting in a safe environment we can say how Rishi should have behaved. But in reality it does not happen.
People like Rishi needs support both psychologically as well as financially to come out of the mess they got themselves into.
Society has to be more open towards people like Rishi who if they are agreeing to accept their crime should be supported throughout till the time they feel secure both financially and emotionally. It is not only fear of death that makes this people do what they did, it is also fear of social isolation.
What I was saying was that if he agrees to accept his crime Payal will pave the way for his social acceptance. When the victim herself gives a positive testimony society will be more open towards him once he completes punishment. So if Rishi is gonna transform Payal is gonna be the reason behind it. And for me that goes perfectly with the theme of the show.

Sorry.
I do not agree.

The fact that women readily forgive is the reason why they get treated like shit in first place.

There is no greatness in this. Never will be.

Rishi was wrong. Did he even try to raise alarm somehow? Why did he never dissociate from Shaurya after this incident?

He very much knew about other bets and murder plans yet he remained silent. Silence is also abetment and withholding evidence is a crime if anyone has an idea of legality.

Just because he was a bit sensible of the lot, a so called regretful guy who let her escape after all the stripping and gangrape, it doesn't mean he can be justified or forgiven.

Anyway people are mostly into jodis and only goal seems to be to hook up girls and boys hence this support for Rishi!🥱

seriously anu all are shaadi.com types😆
rishi did not commit the crime well and good...but as said by shaurya he's the biggest phattu and even he doesnt have morals who supported a bet to bed a girl.
but was human enough to let payal go...and 100 times better than others as atleast he is guilty of what happened to payal and is again helping her

romantic angle btw rishi and payal wud be too filmy...like they cud have shown how a rape victim overcomes the trauma and again lives a normal life and fulfills her dream

Nobody is aware of legality here or rather do not want to be aware.

Withholding evidence and misleading court are crime. Silent support is also abetment to crime.

But where do people including the tarot card wala writer think of this stuff?

Payal had to be silent. She has been tortured enough. Prime reason of rape was her sister fighting with a boy. So it is evident she will not mess with a boy at all herself either. Payal is only left to beg for being spared. She cannot take a stand even if she wants to.

I totally agree with you here. If rishi had tried to even twitch a muscle Goenkas would have had him finished. They were at their evil best at the time, full of power, ego, money, and what not. Rishi was not even seen supporting Shourya in any of his later commited crimes. He was totally against the idea of shooting Dev too if I remember correctly. I think he had been with Shourya just to save his own life. I don't think he has an influential family like Karan also.

I am not a rishi supporter but I am just trying to understand the human behavior like all if you here in extreme circumstances. And I am tatally against the idea of him pairing with payal.

Its not even a blooper in real sense. Its unbelievably stupid.
Payal protected Rishi by dragging him to court ? What if she had won the case and Rishi was put behind the bars ? His life and his career would have been ruined. What if his family committed suicide like her parents did ?

A lie is still a lie. Talking about symbolism Yudishthir had to visit hell because he had lied to Drona. Sorry but Payal' s lie is not really a great thing.

As for Rishi I give it that he had no guts to go against the Goenkas. He had guts to take punishment for such a heinous crime which he had not committed ? Also, after the case was closed he still had to hang out with Shaurya because he is scared of him ?

Common !!!! Rishi is one of those men who don't have a self- identity. They will do everything in company even if it is a crime. He can kidnap Payal today to save her. Why could not he tell Nitya about the bet ? Why could not he tell Dev or Durga about Shaurya's plan to kidnap Payal?

I give more importance to logic. Logically, this sudden charitra parivaratan is not acceptable.
