Woman a man's strength as well as weakness

I thought of writing this post because I saw some posts where it tells all power rests with men. For me EHT has been one show which clearly showed from where the man gets his power. How a woman can become a man's greatest strength as well as his greatest weakness. And the way he treats the woman in his life can make or break him.
Rajnath had always used Sakshi so has Shaurya. Though she was the reason they both were able to cover up their criminal activities they never hesitated to pass on the blame to her when something went wrong. Raj was quick to tell Shakshi didn't give him a good waaris. Really is getting a good waaris only woman's job. Now his business is in big trouble. Again he is blaming Sakshi for the same forgetting what all she might have tried to keep his criminal records without coming out.
Shaurya complains his mom has no time for him. Really if not for her by this time he will be rotting in jail if not for rape , but for attempt of murder on Dev. But he only has complaints about her and will think about her only when thinks go wrong. Otherwise he goes on his way to do things whatever she has abhorred. I am sure the moment Sakshi falls both these men will also fall. They will pay the price for not respecting her enough or heeding to her. She was their biggest strength, but they themselves made her their biggest weakness thinking they can do better without her.
Now let us take Dev. Yes the quintessential Mama's boy. He respected his mom very much. Never crossed the boundary set by her. Even when his heart wanted to do something he tried his level best not to hurt his mom's feelings which in a way resulted in multiple defeats for him as he was not able to question is family or go about doing things he wanted to do openly. His mother was his biggest weakness.
But the moment Suchitra realized her mistake Dev became a different man. His confidence grew. The fact that his mother trusted him that he didn't commit any wrong was a morale booster. The relation he has cultivated with his mom that of trust and respect came handy to him in the most oppourtune moment. I would say if Dev survived through that days in jail it was because of the trust Suchitra placed on him. If Suchitra had questioned him he would have broken down and couldn't have endured things that came his way.
It is the same respect he has for his mom he will give his sister or wife. Instead of using or blaming them for everything that goes wrong in his life he will value the ladies who are by him during his best and worst times. And it is the value he gives to them that will ensure that they will be always by him in the hour of need. It is not anything materialistic that makes Durga go all the way to bring him out. It is the friendship that she had shared with him.
Tomorrow if he touches glory definitely it will not only because of the 2 women Suchitra and Durga but also because of the fact that he always acknowledges the contribution they had made to his life.

These examples are valid.

But this is just support power.

What about power for real and power in official records?

There is a reason why women are taken for granted. And their support is ignored. Rajnath and Shaurya would indeed be in jail if not for Sakshi's aid in covering up their crimes or alerting them to danger in past with her instincts. But do they care? They still think of her as a mere plotter or a social butterfly who must be busy in parties or beauty parlour! Till date Rajnath thought she was a fool who knew nothing about his affairs and just thought too much, had an unnecessarily overworked brain. He kept casting aside her doubts on Thakurs despite all her hunches turning out to be right and their waaris all paralysed.

Also I wonder why Durga cannot accept share that in laws are willingly giving to her? Why should woman say mujhe kuch nahi chahiye? (Please do not give me example of her identity issue because I also wonder why she wants to go away and leave Dev when she is NITYA herself and is now wedded to him!).

I respect power women have as mothers, sisters and protectors/nurturers but frankly they would get better respect if they exercised and vested power on official records too.

Today in the show it is about Dev becoming more powerful than Rajnath. Bouquets are for him, media coverage for him. What is Durga?

It's high time women stopped counting only "behind the scenes" support as power. And shows also stopped projecting it thus.

There should be equitable portrayal like your fav show DABH, in which woman helped her hubby become masterchef and he helped her become an IPS officer. Both have helped each other and have their own identity as individuals yet are partners in life.

@Anu this is my take on Durga's identity issue. And yes her not wanting shares is also related to that. You can call it as a guilt feeling. First Suchitra and Arnab had planned to give it to their bahu. I mean bahu or DIL in real sense. Suchitra trusts her so much but she feels she is betraying her MIL as her marriage is fake and she will have to go.
Now coming why she wants to go away from Dev. Did Dev realize her for what she is. No. In his mind his Nithya is something else. That chirpy, carefree one. Not this bold woman who holds herself. She doesn't want to tell she is Nithya as I feel she doesn't expect a forced acceptance of her new persona. She has a mission with the family that she needs to complete with seeking justice from evil trio. That's all she has to do with Goenka. She doesn't want to hear she manipulated Dev's love towards her and made him fight against his family or anything of that sort.
I am sure she will not walk away the day Dev calls Nithya and accepts her new persona whole heartedly. Dev has to go to her if he wants her back. She will never go to him and will force her new persona on him. Also it is clear that she can never be the Nithya he knew. Though the basic chara will be there as a person she has come a long way.
If you ask me my expectation from Dev's character was like that of Sooraj. Durga is afraid to fight the battle in court. Once he knows the truth stand behind her as her firm emotional support and make her fight that battle in the court once again against Shaurya Goenka. Let her concentrate only on the matters of the court and what needs to be done. Any other distractions or EBs he needs to take care.
I am for equal recoginition for both where Durga is Dev's strength and Dev is Durga's strength. Not something one way around.

I loved the points u made in both ur posts Shruti 👏 I agree without Sakshi, both father n son would be rotting in jail right now 🤢 And yes it was Suchitra's belief that gave the strength to Dev to hold onto hope to prove his innocence but I am not sure if I saw Dev being Durga's strength till now 🤔 So far its Durga who has been his strength n directly or indirectly she has saved his life more than once. Even when Elena shot him, it was the locket that saved him from the fatal blow. But now post the revelation I am hoping Dev will be Durga's strength. Till now I saw Durga working on her own n it was only Dayal and Akram who supported her in her mission.
