Pallavi: Problem is that they know nothing about the culture. They just pick one Bangla surname from newspaper or magazine and then start doing the story. They dont research at all which is damn annoying. But then why blame them ? When Pradeep Sarkar, a Bengali himself failed to show Bengal in Parineeta why blame the makers from Mumbai ?

Thankfully, the show doesn't show Bengalis with distorted Hindi pronunciation.

By the way last year Durga Puja, Durga vowed that by next Durga Puja she would have her revenge. But now they postponed it to Nitya's birthday and may be thats why they did not show Durga Puja

Yes, its been one year already! 😆 CVs wanted to start with a bang so they introduced Durga to Goenkas dramatically at Durga Puja. Now 6 months later, its Karwa Chauth but no Durga Puja preceding that!

Yes Dey, I bet there are no Bengalis in EHT writers team, they have no idea abt Bengali traditions or Kolkata culture. They just threw in a corrupt cop named Mukherjee (who handles all Goenka cases exclusively 😆) and Pofessor Ganguly and a few Bong names here and there.

In fact its Sakshi who sometimes speaks Bengali, Durga rarely speaks it.

And Durga mispronounced BiSHnupur as BiSnupur...at least Sakshi pronounced it properly.

Since Sakshi originated from Kolkata slums, shes probably Bengali herself. So then the fight is between 2 Bengal tigresses! 😃
