Sakshi is a very proud and arrogant woman. She prides herself on her judgement. So the fact that her son could go so wrong and fool her doesn't even enter her thought process, perhaps subcounciously she fears it but definitely she doesn't want to beleive it.

Both the Goenka's have failed in parenting, the fact that they blame the world for Shaurya's mistakes proves their own inability to fault themselves. They overcompensate their flaws by agreeing to his whims and fancies.

I think he will be her defeat. More than Durga, its Shaurya who is destroying Sakshi and he would have done so without Durga's presence as well.

I am afraid the point of saving him in anyway is lost, right not the acceptance of him being evil would be the only saving grace of Sakshi as a mother.

Thank you genie.

I agree that Shakshi because of pride has overlooked her sons shortcomings. But Shaurya has not committed only one mistake.

He has a pattern of many crimes and Shakshi has covered them all. After Rape he has tried killing his brother has fooled them in getting his degree and he has killed a man in the disco.

And after all that Shakshi is fool enough to believe her son would take his own life, after promising her he will never go near Durga again and then declares he loves her in front of everyone. Shakshi where are your sharp instincts.

And I agree with you that Shaurya will be Shakshi's downfall and she has that completely coming to her for the crimes she has aided and abetted in the name of motherly love.

And yes, Shaurya is way beyond saving, he has passed all limits.

True Shakshi said that she should have scolded Shaurya and she did slap him a couple
of times But that does not excuse her from still doing everything in her power to cover up his still ongoing crimes and not realizing that after all she has done he is still the
same lousy son that she cannot control.

Shakshi and Rajnath are alone responsible for Shaurya the way he is.

It is about time they realize that.

never.. in Indian dramas, the men are to be cared like little infants by others because they are their "maa ka ladla"
I failed to understand Sakshi's accusations. No, I mean I know Durga was actually instigating Shaurya but from Sakshi's point of view, she thinks Durga was instigating Shaurya. There is much difference here. She never wanted Durga as her DIL but she is also accusing Durga that she never accepted Shaurya's proposal. Again, she was happy Durga was getting engaged to another man and now she is upset because her son is suicidal because of this engagement. What does this woman want ?

Sakshi has done what every mother in Indian society does. Blame on the girl if the son does some non sense.
If son did love marriage well the girl trapped him. If son loves and care for his wife well he is Joru Ka Ghulam.
Girl rejected her son, what right she has to reject him. I mean as a society we always try to find fault with woman if she exercises her rightful choice. It is not now, it has been centuries old from the days of Draupadi's rejection of Karna. There are still people who believe because Draupadi rejected Karna, Karna had the right to call her a prostitute in the infamous hall of dice.
But maybe because Sakshi concluded that Durga will tell she does not love Shaurya, Durga is paying her back in the same coin by telling she loves him.
Durga is gonna give impressions to everyone that she was pressurized or felt bad on the accusation that was thrown on her. Sakshi will see through it, but it will be late as even Rajnath might tell let us go ahead with marriage.

Now thats what SAKSHI GOENKA is! For her, Her husband is wrong, Durga is wrong, whole world is wrong but to herself, she can't let a finger also pin-point. A child's morality is their parent's responsibility and Mrs. Goenka has failed miserably there. More than the love for her bigdi hui aulad, its her obssession nd ego thats doesn't let her accept her flaws.

Indian Drama's perpetuate this unfair idea that boys are more important than girls.

And then some Mother's take it to another extreme. Accepting this as norm in any society in just plain wrong.

And Shakshi with her obsession of a rotten son that has hurt many and still thinks that he is her "Maa Ka Ladla" then she is not only a rotten mother but also a curse to womanhood .

I agree that is what Shakshi Goenka is. She thinks she is very smart and intuitive and wields a lot of power but has absolutely no control or sense in how to raise a responsible son. Does she think that Shaurya has been taught the lesson that he can run his inherited empire when she has let him get away with murder.

What kind of human being is she protecting when on any given day her no good son is capable of getting rid of her when his need is not met.

Here nobody is wrong accept Shakshi.

What you say Shruthi is correct about mother's in Indian Society. But that is sad and that we just accept it as a norm is an even bigger mistake.

Mother's have the power to change this thinking in their children by treating both the son and daughter equally.

Will it happen ?? I don't know. But accepting that it has been going on since the beginning of time is also not acceptable.

@ Shruti: Karna's rejection: I am not supporting Karna's way of disrespecting Draupadi but one must also know that Draupadi was too proud of her royal background and thereby insulted Karna by calling him a 'Sut putra'.
I think Ahalya's example is more appropriate. It was Indra who violated her yet she was cursed by her husband for infidelity. Indra was let off rather easily. Where is the justice here ?
