That dream of Durga indicated that she has become Nithya for Dev. When she put the ring it was Nithya putting the ring not Durga.

When he sang the song, it was Nithya romancing with Dev, not Durga. She is speaking to him as Nithya. Every word of hers is that of Nithya. Neil observed the closeness. Durga bought the smile in her face thinking about Dev when she put ring on Neil( Loved Sanjeeda's expressions), she blushed when she thought about their encounters while listening to the song.

I was like Dev wake up, please wake up and smell the coffee. She expects you to recognize her with her mission.
