I still think the actor can do better but Dev (the character) is amazing. I would like to see the actor improve more.
I know there is a separate thread to talk about Revenge, but being huge fan of it for three years it will just slip into any post I make. Dev reminds me of Aiden. He is resourceful (getting help from his old loyal friends, one of which is a lawyer), charismatic (convincing the cake guy), and awesome.
I love how straightforward he is. Unlike any other character in this show (or even Revenge when I think about it), he doesn't lurk in the shadows and overall his approach is direct. I hope he knows how to get the information an indirect way because people like Durga and Shaurya won't answer honestly. He is awesome to watch and this week he has been the highlight for me.
In my family, we never had a show which we all watch together. The closest that a show has come is Once Upon a Time because when my parents pass by, they just sit and watch. Ek Hasina Thi we all wait for 8:00 and watch it together like both my parents and sisters. One might not think of this as a family show but for us it is. My parents tell us disturbing things like what happened to Payal actually happens (being screwed over by the system) and how lucky we are to be living in a country like Canada, where we can come home 11-1 at night without any fear. Not to say horrid stuff doesn't happen here and I am not judging or saying anything bad about India because I have never been there. However looking at the statistics, I can see there is some truth to what my parents are saying. I hope every victim whether male or female get justice and demons like Shaurya perish.
