I am quite surprised at Akash's grandma agreeing to the entire concept of selling off Prarthna for high amounts of dowry. In my opinion, its preposterous! Why, I tell you, why is it that people still think that the easiest way to get a girl married is by paying huge amounts of money to the prospective alliance? What proof do you have that post the wedding, they're gonna treat her nicely? I mean I'm sure they noticed the face the prospective groom made on seeing Prarthna.

Getting your daughter married is only the BEGINNING. What comes next is what is going to decide her entire life. I am appalled at the fact that people still agree to such a heinous custom such as that of Dowry.

Truly agree with u! I fail to understand why a girl's parents r hell bent on fulfilling all dowry demands by a groom's family on the pretext that the bride is dark skinned. I cant even imagine what a girl goes thru who is subjected to horror in the name of dowry that to in a modern educated society.

Right on guys. Hate dowry concept, especially in todays day and time. I agreed with what Poonam said earlier though: if you don't support an act but take part in it knowingly, then you are equally quietly.

I completely agree to you.. Why is it always girls parents has to pay dowry why not the guys. This concept is completely stupendous. What if the guy is dark? , what difference does it make if a girl is not completely fair? I fail to understand their thoughts😔
