Hello!
Resurgence here I am... way too late... like literally 4 updates late... maafi... i know I should have been here earlier... really really sorry Saleha.
One by one.. with each update.
Chapter-2
His running is the only time he allows himself to feel grieve
"It's the only time, he is not diving his head first in quicksands of difficulties but floating with every step he takes. "
I loved that whole paragraph but this one line just simply stood out... he is just so vulnerable... and you are exceptionally good with these word webs.
"He is a mere shadow escaping the realms of contradictions and reality." Wow!
That emotional pain and physical exhaustion part.. and the way you described and explained that run in significance with his internal turmoil.
That conversation between Nirmala and Shraman... this bond between these two is so sweet and since these two being this close to each other is an unheard of situation So it is a really refreshing and welcoming experience.
"Then may be it's time for us to catch our breath, rest a little. "
Saleha!
That coming home scene... swings.. door knobs.. his father's library... you have an eye for detail... it literally paints a picture in my head ... it's like I can visualize it all.
And then the humour returns.. they are kinda cute... "is it a boy?"
Last part is a bit confusing though.. is he in a graveyard? If yes then why is you know who there... don't say she's dead
CHAPTER-3
I love how you have described different emotions of his and his own reactions to them... it's something so unique and interesting. Every one of them standing out so well.
Sumo is so cute and bossy... typical Sumo... the one we deserved.
She is threatening him so well ... Shravan is so in trouble... that "You better be..." I love her.š
This whole scene with these two is so sweet. Shravan calling her tiny š How old are they here? Is this before Ramnath's death? I am assuming before.
From it smells like you to it stinks like you... way to go Sumo š
Shravan offering to braid her hair ..Aww! If I remember correctly he braided Nirmala's too in first chapter. I am liking this Shravan.
The way he compares her hair with his garden and lavender... it's so endearing. š³
These two are so in love here... where and why things went south... just look at them blushing, bickering and teasing each other... pulling each other's legs... my beautiful Shraman. ā¤ļø
Ohh! I will tell you ...Don't go please don't go Shravan. Though the maturity with which Sumo answers this one is commendable.
He licked her hand š¤£
Though the sass and swag of this girl... I am so in love with her.
"No, I am sure your brain functions just as fine with out my genius." š¤£
The last part though!ā¤ļø Shravan is all heart! I hope so too Shravan... I hope you do exactly that some day.
I absolutely loved this one...it will always remain my one of the favorites of Resurgence I can assure you. š³
Apoorva
You know I subconsciously used to feel holding you is this beautiful cause it's so much like our show... and your Shraman also resembled show's characters with so much perfection... it always felt like it was your understanding of these two that brought out something so magical.
But Resurgence just proved all that wrong... this one made me realize it is more about you than about the show's beauty here they are Shraman still so not your typical Shraman. Yet the melancholy of the story is so much familiar with that of initial chapters of Holding You.
It is like it... yet so much more beautiful than it... I am in love with this story yet much more in love with with you as a writer.ā¤ļø
I am also liking how this one is being written in both past and present simultaneously... thus building up a strange suspense... there are so many questions in my head... pata nahi kya hoga inka.
Khair here's to hoping this ends well for my heart.š
^ Spoiler alert! ā¢ļø
Apoorva, the temptation to read your comments it too... š
'She is the brain and he is the heart.'
The first line itself captured my attention...And the rest made me interested to know more, to read more... The contrast between them would be interesting to read and am sure you will have fun exploring it as well...I can't wait to read more...
P.s...The banner!
"Shravan, ladke rulate nahin hain, lekin ladke ro sakte hain." Ramnaath <- That shows how good of a man and parent he was...Wow, okay, finally Shravan has good parents in a story...š
But he is probably dead, is he not? We will only get flash-backs, isn't it? š„ŗ
He feels the need to experience the misery and swallow it whole, he feels the need to scream but he doesn't have the strength to whisper, he feels the need to wipe the non-existent tears that he wants to form but can't.
^ These lines...
Another custom that was beyond his comprehension, a desi family could go through anything but hospitality was required to be top notch, no matter the circumstances.
^ This is so true...Our society...
"You taught me so many things Papa, why didn't you teach me how to survive without you?" <- GOD!
God, Saleha...You write so well, so, so, so well...Masha Allah...!!! *speechless* There are so many words, so many lines that made me stop and re-read them just to be able to absorb what you have written, so beautifully!
You are brilliant, in your words and in the way you describe actions and inner feelings...The way you have written the interaction between the mother-son duo is so heartbreaking yet so true and so pure...And Ramnaath seems like an amazing father and husband, we aren't used to that, but Ramnaath of your story is so good to read...And Shravan, the loss of his father, and it's consequences on him... Him finding strength and courage for his mother... My heart breaks for him...
The way he sees Suman, I can't wait to read what you have in mind for them and Ramnaath and his death, the mystery behind it... Can't wait to find out...I feel like you have come up with not so regular story and I am going to enjoy it so much...Impatiently waiting to read more...
