A reminder of Part 1
Both of them have their kulfis. Shravan is besotted by Sumo's natural grace and beauty. He loves her for her feisty, dare to do attitude, for her loving heart which encompasses everybody, for her no nonsense approach to life, for her values and for the beautiful human being she is.
Shravan thinks. This is a good opportunity. Shall I express my love to her? What if she rejects it? I'll be heart broken again. Can I afford that? Even if she rejects it atleast we will be friends. I shall try to be content with that
Part 2
Su: Shravan I have to tell you something.
Sh: Me too. Okay you go first.
Su: Shravan I don't know if you will like what I am going to say. You are at liberty to reject what I am going to say but I only have one request, please don't break our friendship. I cannot withstand that.
Sh: Kitna build up kar rahi ho. Tell me what is it?
Su: Shravan I LOVE YOU. I have been in love with you since the day you left for London. I realized this only after you left. There was huge gap in my heart which got automatically filled up once you came back. I want to spend my entire life with you. I want to start everyday with you next to me and end the day in your arms. I always dream of a cosy home with you, with 2 kids running about and a dog scampering about. I want to talk to you about my problems, my desires, my silly wishes. I want to congratulate you when you achieve successes, I want to hug you and comfort you when you have had a bad day. I want to do all this and more Shravan. I LOVE YOU...PERIOD...I thought I might as well tell it because I don't want to regret later that I did not take the chance to voice it out. It is okay if you don't feel the same, but please don't break our friendship. At least let us be friends.
Shravan is dumbfounded. He is speechless.
Suman shakes him. Shravan kya hua... did you hear what I said just now? Don't you have anything to say?
Shravan just pulls her by her waist and hugs her tightly and whispers in her ears: I too love you so much Sumo. By saying what is in my heart you just made my life worth living.
She looks up at him from within his embrace. Both of them have tears in their eyes and both wipe off the other's tears. Shravan places a kiss on her forehead, on her eyes one by one and comes down to her lips. Sumo has her eyes closed and is waiting for their lips to meet. When it does not happen she opens her eyes to find him asking her permission with his eyes. She closes her eyes in acceptance and lifts her face up. Shravan gingerly places her lips on hers and starts kissing her softly. Soon passion overtakes them and the soft kiss turns into an all compassing kiss. They come up for air in a few minutes and realize that they are in a public place. They get into his car. Shravan holds her hand and starts driving. They reach Tiwari Killa and Shravan leans forward and places a kiss on her cheek and lets her go. She smiles shyly and runs inside.
Suman gets ready to go to bed when she receives a message.
Sh: Thank you Sumo for making my dream come true. I love you very much. I cannot wait to make you mine. I shall come and talk to Nanaji tomorrow itself.
Su: I also love you very much Shravan. Please don't talk to Nanaji tomorrow itself. Lets give this a little time.
Sh: Okay whatever you say your highness. So you want to enjoy chupke chupke romance. I am more than ready for this. See you tomorrow...good night.
Su: Good night.
Both of them are enjoying their new found attraction for each other. Shravan does not leave even a small chance to corner her, to give her a kiss while passing by, to grab her waist when nobody is noticing.
Pushkar and Preeti's love comes out in the open.
Manju: Preeti is this what I taught you? You have brought a taint on my upbringing.
Su: Mamiji please calm down. Preeti loves Pushkar and Pushkar also loves her. we all know that Pushkar is a very nice boy and we cannot get a better guy for Preeti. Let us initiate marriage talks with the Malhotras.
Manju: But Suman, how can we do her marriage when your marriage has not yet happened. After all you are the first daughter of this house.
Su: Mamiji my marriage will happen when time comes. For that sake, let us not spoil Preeti's happiness.
Both the families agree for the wedding. Ramnath comes and gives Suman a blank cheque for Preekar's wedding in lieu of her love for Shravan. After he leaves
Su: Uncle why did you do this? How will I avoid Shravan now? How can you ask me to forsake my love for him, it is like giving up my life. I cannot survive without Shravan. He is my anchor in life. He is my bestie, my love, ,my end all and be all. No I shall not agree to this. I shall tell Shravan about what uncle did and let him decide whatever he wants. Why should I forsake our happiness, why should our love suffer?
Preeti had listened to all this. She comes inside the room and closes the door because she does not want her mother to find out what is happening.
Preeti: Suman di what did Ramnath uncle want? Why was he here?
Su: Nothing Preeti he just came to ask if we need any help for your wedding.
Pr: Please dont lie Di. I heard everything. I always thought there was something more than friendship between you and Shravan. You love him na?
Su: Yes we love each other. I am going to tell him about uncle and let him decide.
Pr: Aakhir apne apna true colour dikha diya na Di?
Su: What are you saying Preeti?
Pr: Haan di, if you tell Shravan, he will confront Uncle and my marriage will be stopped. This is what you want right? My parents have taken care of you so well, they have treated you like their own daughter and is this how you repay them? Just imagine Di, what if my mom did not treat you well, imagine the sufferings you would have undergone without my parents' support. Now when you get a chance to repay them, you are not concerned about them but only concerned about your love. I cant imagine that you can be so selfish Di. Please don't forget that you are an orphan and my family has given the protection and love you have been enjoying for so long. And one more thing, if you go and tell my mom what Uncle has said, she will definitely stop my wedding because you are the best for her. she always keeps comparing me with you, asking me to learn from you so much so that I think you are her daughter and not me and I hate you for that. Anyhow, as mom says aap bahut samajdhar ho, you will do whatever is the best.
And she leaves. Suman is taken aback. She is shocked that Preeti has so much of hatred for her. She did not see this coming. What to do now? She knows that if she tells mamiji or Shravan or Nanu Preeti's wedding will be stopped. And she cant afford to do that. She thinks that she will avoid Shravan and once Preethi's wedding is over she will move out of India. So she puts on a brave face and starts with the marriage preparations.
