Hey Soup,
Another show we have both loved coming to an end. How many times and how many more forums buddy? :) Our rishta is becoming purana as well! LOL
Ek duje ke vaaste was an amazing ride. I was SO glad to meet so many of my old friends here and glad to have met a few new ones too. One of the most decent fandoms I have been a part of. There was hardly any conflict in this forum. Only towards the end a bit, but a forum without fan wars is not a real forum! LOL
Anyways, the ending was Perfecto! Could not have asked for more in the short time we got. Namik was SO so dreamy as loved up Shravan I was so floored by his utter charm! Just wish we had got to see him doing more romance, the man rocks!
Nikita was sweet and effective as Suman! Loved the last scenes and her smiles. She actually looked really happy. As for the kids... I LOVE those kids. They were fabulous. Showed acting chops way beyond their years. Vishal and Palak were always amazing as young ShraMan! What a beautiful story this was. The beginning unparalleled with the nuances they showed. There was no arrogant over the top hero. Shravan was very subtle and even his arrogance was subtle. His whole manner was mysterious to an extent and we were always second guessing him. He acted like a "D**k" like Namik said, but we still GOT him. He was one amazing character.
Suman was equally amazing at the start. I did understand her well in most of the story, but despite my empathy for Sumo, my love and devotion was always centered on Shravan. This is NOT because Namik is insanely hot. It was solely because of the character Shravan, his layered personality, his intense eyes and his pure love. He is such an emotional guy. That was the beauty of Shravan. Emotional and vulnerable, he was NEVER as strong as Sumo.
At the end, their epic hug made their love shine through. Finally in each others arms and home. I agree with you it feels like the end of a "chapter", not the end of the book! The scene in Tiwari Killa where Suman tells him that they WILL have issues in future and when Shravan tells her that there will be times he wont understand her, but he will try...omen for the future. What they said was "real", so we can take it at face value. But if we analyse it, it can even be an ode to their future life. Just "kushiya" is not possible in life. There will be challenges for sure. Wish we had seen more of their struggles.
If Sony have ANY brains (which they have shown they don't), they WILL bring this show back with a Season 2. Either the continuation of ShraMan story, Ramnath and Nirmala trying to rectify their relationship. Nirmala living in town but not at Malhotra house. Mother-Son bonding. Shravan and Aditya patching up for Nirmala, but struggling with their issues. Suman being awkward around Aditya. RAMINI tashan, Varun-Vandy track, Preekar track if needed and then of course our lovely ShraMan and their ego problems. ALL that can be done for 6 months again. Or they can do a KMH and do Season 2 with the same characters but different story.
Either ways, I want more. I am not done seeing these characters.
