Shravan Malhotra was awake earlier than usual that morning. He looked at his wife who was snuggled in to him. He smiled at the sight. She looked really beautiful and innocent. He kissed her forehead and carefully moved her so that her sleep would not get disturbed.

He went in to the kitchen after freshening himself to make a cup of coffee for himself and his wife. The rest of the family was away from home and their house-helps had been asked to come home later in the morning. While he put the kettle to boil, he decided to surprise her by cooking breakfast. It would not be anything fancy but eggs and toast.

He decided to be quick as well as silent since there was a chance she would wake up soon out of habit. After a few minutes of gathering everything he needed he set to work. Living alone for 10 years had definitely taught him how to cook. He quickly beat the eggs in a bowl and added some grated cheese on it while the oil on the pan was being heated. After pouring the mixture on the pan and slightly lowering the heat, he put the slices of bread in the toaster and made the coffee. The egg was cooked well and the toast was done as well. He placed everything on the tray and covered to food to keep it warm.

He opened the door to their room slowly and walked in stealthily to find her asleep. Placing the tray on the table, he went to their bed and sat down on his side of it, facing her.

"Sumo," he called out while shaking her.

"Mhm.."

"Sumo utho, subah hogayi hai."

"Shravan sone do na, 5 minutes please."

He smiled. She seemed exhausted lately due to the increase in the workload at PCT. He would have let her sleep more but the breakfast would go cold and he had to attend a meeting with a client about an hour and a half later and he wanted to have breakfast with her. And she had to go to PCT as well.

"Sumo, utho na, I have a surprise for you."

"Shravan, " She groaned rubbing her eyes as she sat up.

"Good morning Mrs Malhotra."

"Good morning Mr Malhotra."

He kissed her on the forehead. "Kahaan hai mera surprise?"

"Chalo!" He carried her in his arms and she let out a squeal as she did not expect it and giggled as he slightly threw her in the air before catching her. He put her down and asked her sit on the couch before joining her.

"Breakfast, maine banaya hai!" He said excitedly.

She smiled seeing his excitement. "Should I be worried about a messy kitchen?" She raised her eyebrow and smirked.

He feigned a pout "I have lived alone you know! And I used to clean up after myself! And I used to cook as well."

She laughed seeing his reaction and pecked him on his cheek. "Let's eat then before it gets cold."

They ate their breakfast which Sumo loved and demanded that he should make more often and also made small talk about their respective workplaces. After completing their breakfast and coffee, Sumo gave Shravan a tight hug to thank him for the breakfast. He nuzzled his face in the crook of her neck and placed a soft kiss there. She tightened her hold on him. He placed soft kisses up to her jawline and moved upwards and placed a kiss right close to her lips. She moved her face closer to his and their gaze met and he leaned in closing the distance between them and kissed her passionately. His hands around her waist and hers at the back of his head in his hair.

They were so lost in each other in that moment when Shravan's phone rang pulling them out of their passionate moment. Once Shravan disconnected the call he looked at her sadly and she recalled him telling her that he had a meeting this morning and he had only half an hour left before which he had to be there. Fortunately it was in his office which was right next to their house.

"Let's go out tonight." He asked leaning closer to her, while entwining their hands and using his other hand to trail up and down her arm.

"Are you asking me on a date Mr Malhotra?" Sumo winked at him.

"Yes Mrs Malhotra," Shravan whispered huskily. "It's been a while since we've been out together, alone..."

She smiled at him and accepted.

"Ab jao, ready ho jao."

"I don't feel like leaving you Sumo."

"You are getting late Shravan, jao na!" She pushed him in to the bathroom, laughing to herself while taking out his clothes for the day and thinking about the evening that lay ahead of them...
