Btw I am just thinking even if wrap up script plays out n channel decision is changed at a later point, we can still hv a lot of meat. We can finally get a reformed Shravan who brings his mom home n starts respecting women. For two three months this can be a beautiful script. Ramu-Nimo n ShraMan together in Malhotra house...Kamini n Preeto insecure. So much can be there. Just Ramu truth revealed cnt be the end.

So yes like an eternal optimist, I can say theres still lil hope. Channels only see profit. If we can make them see the profit in edkv, we might get another chance.

But I request everyone to be happy...pls lets make effort but with satisfaction that we will get a happy closure. Abhi or later...our shraman will be complete.

@bold : Exactly what I feel. I don't feel sad anymore but I'll try till the end. Whats the point in fighting if we can't stay till the end, at least we can feel satisfied that we tried our best.

Yes, the show is ending sooner than expected but, the date if already fixed why are the channel denying it and the producer writing letters to the fandom now when this must have been communicated to them at least three weeks prior to that (In fact, since this show has never been promoted with no promos and all.. they must have known about it for quite sometime. My friend works in a rival channel, so know) and we do know parts of the scenes shown on yesterday and day before had already been shot before...

My question is how did October 7 became the d-day for this show...who or which site released this date?

And why would Sony provide the lame excuse that all top officials have left on a trip or what...The least they could have done was to confirm the show ending on the particular date before they left. And we live in an age of Internet...they could have announced it from anywhere in the world. Considering I believe the whole of the fanclub gave up hope and we did not trend like the other two days...they could have done it yesterday itself...Why didnt they?

Indrani, I have been MIA for a few weeks now because I was disengaged with the story and could not deal with the negativity. So, ofcourse our thoughts are in tandem when we say that the story has/had taken a turn for the worse, to accommodate many constraints - TRPs, absences etc. There is no coherent thread in the storytelling. But that aside, it is sad to see it end this way - but it's what happens to every soap I follow!

I have, from time to time, followed what's going on and what I say here is just my opinion. As a channel, ANY channel, business revenues are the topmost concern. By not airing a show as planned, Sony probably faced huge losses in ad revenues. If something is not profitable, it is natural for a business to amputate that part of the business that is spreading it's infection to affect the entire business. So I am not surprised by Sony's decision to axe the show. What was their guarantee that the PH would come up with episodes for the following weeks? Possibly, the PH did not give them a concrete plan.

As a production house, you cannot blame them for not having epic banks because you can only shoot episodes if actors are available to shoot. The only option was to replace the actor. However, they could be sued for doing so given Nikita was unwell. And it is rather humane and respectful of them if they were not cut and dry about it. It cost them their show.

I disagree with people blaming Nikita. What she is, how she behaves, who she is, is none of our business. To rest the blame on her shoulders is unreasonable and immature. No one plans to be hospitalised for a prolonged time. Indeed, being in the hospital, sick, is not a party. Dengue wears a person down. The body pain is unimaginable and the fever is awful. I would not want to be in those shoes. It takes months to recover from dengue. How she contracted dengue and her diet regime is immaterial. It is personal to her and while she is a star, I think she is entitled to living her life her way. I am no fan of Nikita, but I find it churlish that people target her.

Letting the audience know about their decisions- presumably, the channel has a corporate strategy for everything. So, there was possibly a strategy behind this too. What ever the rational, I think they were trying to avoid the backlash that has just happened. But sadly, this is how the world operates. These are well thought out, timed decisions. Every institution, schools/political parties, businesses, will go through this decision making process and will have strategies behind timed release of information to the public. Sometimes these are misjudged and bad decisions. But the point here is, I guess there is no reason to ponder over things that have happened in the past and the only way forward is to look ahead.
