I've almost all similar rules in my rulebook.

I used to crush on actors as a kid until teenage like when I was in between 8-18 but now I'm in my early twenties and I don't even remember on whom I had my last crush on. Its been so long. I prefer crushing on some handsome passerby rather than on these actors whom I won't even see once in my life.

I find these campaigns to stop the show from getting axed by fans a bit foolishness but I signed the petition for so many fighting for it. For me its ok even if the show gets axed today as I clearly know that life is unpredictable.

I don't find actors as celebrities or stars, I keep mentioning to everyone around me that they aren't and that acting is just a profession like all other professions and for me its a luxurious profession which fills up their bank balances. I got vexed up with all the actors rants that they keep working for 14-16 hours but I laugh it out as its so silly that they're boasting about it as it isn't the only profession where people work for so many hours and they must earn enough to self choose acting as profession. Don't they once think about soldiers who have limitless work hours working in worst situations or doctors who does operations for so many hours and these professions need proper mental capability too all the time. Silly actors and silly fan followers is what I feel all the time.

Sorry for all my rant but I somewhere wanted to vent it out all along and I found this post apt.

These shows don't affect me at all as I'm practical enough but I love watching these as sometimes it feels like I'm reading a good book from which I can learn something.

LOL I somehow still cant get over my crush on BS largely due to IPK & the character ASR I guess. But yeah I think its a little nave to spend so much time & effort on a show. But I guess to each his own & who am I to judge. If folks love the show & put effort to call or tweet more power to them 😊 Don't want to discourage them. But I wonder if its really wise to keep prolonging shows. I feel the max shelf life of any serial is 6-8 mths. Anything more than that is just a drag

For me shelf life of an Indian show is exact 180 episodes which takes around 8-9 months for 5 epi's a week... many shows have already proved it and anything extended more than 200 episodes actually felt like dragging forever

That rule is based on my bitter exp so far where actors rarely tell the truth to the media or their fans. Some actors are ok acting in shows which go on & on. Some prefer to act for shorter duration. Also some actors find it diff 2 put in long hrs. 1 such person is BS. I feel Nikita is also similar gng by her health condition. So such actors are not equipped to work in long running shows! In such cases its better for the PH & channel to cut their losses & bail out rather than hunting for a new face all over again! Here I feel the channel & PH are justified in scrapping a show. 1 of the main reason y BS is still out of work is that now he has now made this constraint v clear to all

I think about 150 episodes is pretty good. If the CVs have a concrete story in mind and stick to it...the viewing experience will be so refreshing. I think it is about time things start changing in the Indian telly industry! If producers want to prolong...they need to think about seasons...or if they hate the concept of seasons...then limit shows to about 100 to 150 episodes!

Honestly...I don't trust the CVs at all...if they are given an extension...they will keep on showing the MUs...so resolution will always be shown in a week no matter what!

I totally agree...I was a huge fan of barun and would be glued to India forums just to discuss any thing and every thing about the show and the actors...but now I have learnt my lesson and stopped watching and attaching myself to any show

Absolutely. For youth-centric shows like IPK, EDKV etc its ideal to have just 100 or max 150 episodes. My personal taste is such that i love to watch/read love stories only till there is conflict/friction between the leads. Once they confess their love, things get sappy/mushy to me & I lose interest. Of course it c'd just b me but even otherwise most love stories cant be dragged. The crisper & shorter it is, the more effective it is on viewers. So such shows which ve niche audience s'd always be a finite series. This gives the makers creative freedom w/o the pressure of TRPs.

IPK was the only Hindi soap i ve watched. Of course having grown up in the late 80s & 90s I ve watched DD serials. But they were top notch & cant even b compared to the crap shown on TV these days.
