As usual, law ki aisi taisi. Court marriage by Special Marriage Act does not allow you to directly get married on the same day but give a notice of 30 days. And you need at least three witnesses to even give notice.

(I got married in court, interesting thing is it happens in a registrar's office, and not court , so I know first hand. )

But no Television Show shows realistic depiction of legal matters.
