Let me repeat.
There's NO reason justifiable of sexual assault.
And as much as I can understand, Shravan was not bad mouthing Sumo. He never meant that she sleeps around. He just said that they had physical relations. Which is not some thing I approve of either, but isn't it curious? When Shravan says that they had physical relations we side by Sumo. We are afraid her character might me tarnished. A woman's honor doesn't lie in who she sleeps with or if she sleeps with a man out of marriage. We fail to remember that the man is just as equally responsible. Drag the woman from her pedestal to a level so low because she did not comply by the society's morals. Why even put the woman on the pedestal in the first place? She did not even ask for it. Why should the onus of honor- anyone's honor- lie solely on the woman? This is exactly where we fail as a society.
If we genuinely wish for gender equality then we should let go of such regressive and hypocritical mentalities.
See the woman as a human first.
