But how does Aditya know that they aren't trying to cheat him when we all know they are both lying to him? Aditya doesn't know the story-- he only knows what's been presented to him. And anyone in that situation would wonder if these people are messing around with him.
Aditya pushed for an earlier marriage because he is trying to force the truth out. He doesn't want to linger in a state of limbo for two months. Either she wants to marry him now or she doesn't. If he had given Sumo two months-- she would just continue to lead him on and deceive him.
Look I empathize with Sumo's predicament probably more than the others-- but even though its in the past, no one can say the past doesn't have an effect on the future. Its different if Shravan is not even in her life anymore but this guy is actively there. And its clear from her behaviour that she isn't making an effort to form a relationship with Adi. She isn't even trying to move on from her past.
I feel for her but she is not doing right by Adi. When Aditya is sitting there saying I feel you aren't into this relationship or that you are hiding things from me... she knows he actually has a right to say that because that is 100% true. She doesn't love him. Can she really think she can do justice to him by marrying him? At the very least he deserves honesty-- even just telling him she believed it to be a one sided thing from her end would be better than denying it. Or even just saying that while she likes Aditya... she is not in love with him yet and to give her some time. There are so many things she could say to him.
Aditya is not secretly getting Shravan drunk or manipulating Shravan into getting drunk-- he's saying it front of his face what his intentions are. I really don't find it a big deal.
None of them are perfect but more than anyone else Adi is the victim in this Shravan/Sumo mess. Even if they try to write Aditya as the bad guy it doesn't make Shravan and Sumo's actions innocent. There is a lot to be said about honesty.
