There were enough hints to show Sumo had feelings for Shravan. Right from the first episode till the party track and engagement. But they were all subtle.
It was clearly love for Sumo when she broke down when Shravan announced his engagement with PP.Had her love been recent she would have found the strength to move on.

I do know that there're some scenes but on a whole we're able to connect with Shravan's pain better than Sumo's...

Couse the story is Shravans and the focus was on Sumo ditching him 10 yrs bk. The whole story is built from that point forward. But at the moment both love each other... don't worry cvs will bring the balance sooner or later.

I do think there is a lot that they have not done with Sumo's character as they have done with Shravan. This is because Shravan and his past have always been the focal point. They have focussed on certain other aspects of Sumo's character, but her emotions, subtle as there are always pale in comparison to Shravan's. This could be their personalities- They are as different as chalk and cheese. But because of these differing personalities, each of them deals with love and heartbreak in different ways. Each of them has varied expectations from life and love. And each of them has a different kind of weight on their shoulders and they are and have been unhappy in different ways. As Tolstoy said 'Happy families are all alike. Unhappy families are unhappy in different ways' - this could apply to Sumo and Shravan as individuals.Shravan may have lost a lot in life and yet has had a privileged upbringing. The way he deals with loss is different and possibly has something to do with the privileges he has enjoyed. Sumo too experienced a similar loss, possibly worse, but she has lived on the charity of others, financially and emotionally. And so, the way she has dealt with and deals with loss is different. She is more burdened by her loss and her past. Their individual baggages, though heavy, differ significantly in weight. If Shravan carries the world on his shoulders, poor Sumo has the universe upon her.Their experiences have shaped them as individuals and having lived apart for so many years into adulthood, there is a lot each has to understand and appreciate about the other. They are like two strangers meeting in thick fog. They have to work together to clear it, and they can only do that by growing up a little to the understanding of what love truly means to them and to the other. They would each have to walk an extra mile to get to the centre where their world is in balance. After all, true love is beyond just possessing. True love is about just being with each other, being happy for the other - NO MATTER WHAT. There is no self in true love. They have to stop looking within themselves and look outward at the each other.
