@chicksoup- i agree, and have commented on this earlier too, that this serial is more about Shravan than Suman and for this reason one can empathize more with Shravan than Suman. Shravan is a stronger character of the two. And I guess, as a character Shravan can become vindictive. All accepted. But this binge drinking, screaming and self destructive behavior is not very becoming of him and is not how I initially understood the character. The earlier portrayal according to me was a man who was connivingly clever with a soft edge, who had a rational to explain every action, even the party - he speaks to his father about the right and wrong of what he is thinking before he plans his revenge. Now, this same person is planning blind revenge, hurling hurtful words (where earlier his words were measured even when he wanted to hurt sumo), and a lot of his actions seem to be without a clear thought or direction. Even if you jistify him as a character as one dealing with immense hurt, he does not resonate with me even as much as he did about a week ago. Ever since they brought self respect into the equation, the characters seem forced, to satisfy a certain section of the audience

Thrse people are accountable for what happened to Shravan ten years back...and one person could have changed his whole life if she had acted despite the two adults in his life...she had been young and careless...but the fact is, she must know how she could have made those the years easier on him...Despite my love for Sumo, I cannot help feeling for the scapegoat Shravan had become...all that anger has its roots going deep down...it is not an easy task healing such a guy.

Scapegoat hmm.. because of the parents i presume.

So why does he keep bringing up the past to the wrong person. Did he not humiliate Sumo deliberately at the party and say they were equal. So why go in circles now and cry foul all over again.

At times it feels like he is placing responsibility for all the misfortunes of his life on Sumo. Why?

I am still not clear on the scale of the mu from sumo accepting pct from Adi.

@bold He needs to be aware of the wound and want to heal. Healing will come only after...

That's a decision Shravan needs to take!

Actually, to me Sumo is way stronger than Shravan. That is because as Nanu said- she has gone through a lot..has sacrificed a lot..more than what we have seen too...Shravan is volatile..still lost in the shock of whta happened ten years back...Suman is the only one who can lend him some stability...and that is why he needs Suman more than she needs him.
Suman doesn't need healing..she has healed herself...she has known abandonment at a more real level..and fact is she couldn't complain, because she had no one to complain to..She simply had to grow out of it...In fact, it took a visit to her childhood house for her to remember the dreams she had had...which she would only divulge to Shravan...and when he stopped caring, she buried them back again..asking for only one thing- his trust in her. Other than that she has no other demands..she doesn't seek apologies from him...

Shravan is definitely weak...He has rarely tried to venture out of his comfort zone...it took a lot of effort to get him to change his MCP thinking...and here again he is back to the same in the last episode...ladkon main zyada taakat hoti hai...still at that second promo- mard ko dard nahi hota.

😆

I think he is not supposed to have a clear thought or direction as you felt...when it comes to issues he has not YET SORTED OUT.

That is why I said she needs to go about this in a dignified way..Be patient, yet don't be a doormat..She needs to be there when he needs her, but she cannot let him abuse her mentally...

It needs a lot of maturity to handle a person like Shravan...he is a darling, yet he is quite difficult to handle...But Suman herself said once that she'd lay aside her atmasamman for him...only it has to be in such a way that he doesn't feel victorious..neither does he feel ashamed...it should give him the respite to sit down and get the whole picture...It will take time...

If ten years back, Sumo had behaved differently, he wouldn't have given two hoots about his mom or dad...that was the power she had over him..he needed ONLY HER back then. If Suman had lent him that support, Shravan could have got over every thing his parents threw at him...

But she turned her back on him...when he ran away, he was running away from the hurt she caused...It was many times more than what Nirmala had done..Such had been his faith in Sumo.

To me Shravan is a more flushed out character and so resonates well with me, better than Suman whose past and the depth of her love for Shravan we have had only little glimpses of. Whereas, we are given a detail narrative on Shravan's past and his love for Suman. If setting up pct and undergoing a struggle in doing so is the only thing in Sumans past then I can't justify everything she has done as having has a troubled past. Intact it is only now that they talk of her love with this new surprise letter.

I don't think Shravan is a sorted man either. But he is polished on the outside no matter how rough he is on the inside. Drinking and resorting to publicly insulting and humiliating someone should be beneath him. Remember how out of sorts he felt doing it the first time. So my point is that they introducing a new dimension to his character that to me does not fit with the Shravan of the London days
