all the things shravan said to Sumo today.. apply to him and him only. his character has been reduced to an adolescent's behavior by CVs.. that he doesn't see another's POV. he doesn't even try to help his so called best friend. just offering money or "my daddy mahaan" ka ganna wants to help her... that's it. he has not tried to mediate any issues with Kamini... only lalaji and pushkar have tried to control Kamini's izzat drama and creating issues for bride's family. Shravan, in fact, encourages Kamini. the reason I started watching EDKV was shravan's character. in fact.. didn't care for Sumo much. but CVs have completely ruined this caring, intelligent, and loyal friend. i thought he was different than male leads in typical desi show. but he turned out same "kaan ka kacha".. believing his dad's words as gospel. if he really thinks women like Kamini are ideal women... God help him😕
I know I am in minority on this forum. but forum is for everyone to express their POV. Hope there are others on this forum who feel the same.

I don't agree. He never said he finds women like Kamini ideal. Its his dad who said that. The issue is Ramnath is the real misogynist and Shravan being the extremely emotional person, he is anti selfish people. And here is where all confusion comes into picture. Shravan since his childhood has been made to think that a woman who is independent, who can handle her stuff on her own eventually tends to become selfish and arrogant. And somehow by restricting Sumo to come near to Shravan and express her love to him, Ramnath has only been more successful in restoring this belief of his son. Its the same like until you understand what you are made to see. Its not about age. Thats why they say a person's upbringing reflects in his attitude and then even age doesnt matter. All the goodness, care and love that is reflected in his nature is a part of the upbringing probably which his mother gave him or what he himself gathered by staying near Sumo or Nanu. And thats why we see reflections of both worlds in him. All I can say is that this was an amazing track which cvs ruined by stretching the Nirmala revelation like a rubber band. Would have love to see the transformation of pseudo misogynist Shravan Malhotra to a real feminist when he came to know that what all women can do for their families even while they continue to achieve their dreams. But cvs dont want that they just want to stretch this track and increase the epi count. Dont know what they will get by doing this. Already the future of this show is in dark...atleast they can make the loyal viewers satisfied by showing something reasonable. But alas!

Sahi kehri ho! totally agree with you. Shravan ke character ka sathyanas kardiya hai. Him being emotional doesn't mean he can't think and reason, they both can interact together. And today it was very immature to yell at Suman, whom you supposedly love, who is going through something very difficult with Nanaji heart attack. I don't understand how you can yell at someone whose close family member has just had an attack. Why had more pressure and pain? agar dusra galat bhi hai woh sahi waqt ya tarika nehi tha. Not saying Suman was wrong lekin. I think EDKV se hi ek dialogue line thi ki "iraadon se nehi nateyje se phadke parta hai".

I think he's sandwitched between his fathers thinking and his feelings for sumo ! And that's the reason he is not able to do anything which brings shraman together!
Root cause hi yeh hai!

I wonder if Namik as an actor have picked up this points or he is pissed off at his character assassination .

actually, we both are saying the same thing. I know all the backhistory of Shravan too and understand why he is who he is. my issue is same.. why shravan's character is butchered for the sake of stretching the track/story..

Shravan can't see about "ego". is he so selfish and childish that he doesn't realize that head of the family is on his death bed. his family is family.. but not Suman's family???😡

actors don't have much option in the way story folds, twists, turns or character changes overnight... sadly😭

I agree completely but not to forget even ramnath is also a way emotional person but person with insecurity and Orthodox thinking, we still did not get to see complete story from Ramnath side so can't judge him...

Do not agree...shravan and sumo have history...and tiwaris should have caught hold of pushkar not shravan...aditya is another story..he is paraya... so even ramu took it at face value if shravan would have suggested then both ramu and kamini would have revolted...as they would have concluded that shravan is doing this for sumo...which would have been true too...so Shravan did the right thing...and sumo should not taunt him after way she is behaving with him...kya shravan antaryami hain joh sumo ke andar kya chal raha hain usse pata chslega...
