Absolutely @sanfan - he does have his own demons to fight (insecurity, jealousy, anger issues) but as a father one has to give it to him! at least he did that - nirmala failed even on that accord

This show is top notch i must say!

I actually quite much wish that Ram redeems himself somehow...I wont say that Shravan's upbringing is to Ram's credit coz sans Nirmala Ram hasnt really spent any good time with Shravan...Shra was always this good and I am sure his mom has some good credit to his upbringing. But still the way ram cares for Shra and vice-a-versa, its commendable...I wish they show him redeem himself.

yes shravan did the right thing .. his dad cannot accuse him of lying to him.

i think he should be ashamed that on one hand he has hidden so much from shravan even read his love letter. and shravan has been so honest with him

if he dosent realise his folly with shravan's honesty then ill be disappointed with the father in him. if he really loves his son he will want to see him happy. this is a test for him

@indrani - i know! does such love and respect exist in times like these? I hope it does and I am so happy to have watched EDKV too.

I am sure the extent of SM's trust on his father (to the extent that he actually sought his blessings and permission before confessing his love to the actual intended party and simultaneously reassured him that there is no either-or in this case - if he HAS to choose, he will choose his father - though his love for ST is undying) will affect him - it has to! and Ramu does love his son (albeit with insecurities and selfish motives, but he loves him dearly) - so while he might mess up initially, he will come around.

@mallika - i agree with you that SM has always been a good kid but his mom left him at a very critical juncture of anyone's life - teenage - an age agroup which can make or break a person for future - and Ramu took care of him at that time - so I will give ramu some more brownie points for that

i think shravan left as soon as his mom went away so did not spent enough time with his dad. i would actually give the credit to shravan himself he is inherently good. he values his relations most importantly and we have seen that
