I know a huge complaint by a lot of people is the lack of romance - but love is not all flowers, eye locks, hugs and kisses. The biggest part of love is being there for the other person, no matter what.

Exactly...the track was meant to establish a few things...a milestone as it were...and the writers have managed to do that very well without dragging episodes...(the professional aspects, ofc are always a creative liberty issue in serials😆😆)
Personally, I feel like ShraMan have shown a more intense and real love already than most couples manage through the course of a whole show. Their actions speak volumes of their love, the way they support each other, the way they look at each other. They aren't like other couples, they have years of history to work through, and they are friends before lovers - they aren't like other TV couples that meet and then fall in love, their story is not going to follow the same timeline. Take PreeKar for example, they jump head first into "lovey-dovey" scenes because they don't have years of emotional baggage to work through. ShraMan do, but once they get through this, their love is going to be so intense that it's going to blow us away.
Also, if you've ever been in love, the intense butterfly feelings (so the kind of scenes we all want) is the beginning of a relationship that ultimately gives away to something deeper and more meaningful. ShraMan have been in love for so long, and they never experienced that first phase because of their circumstances, but they've known each other for far too long to not be in that "second deeper stage" of a relationship. They are working backwards, normal couples meet and get to know each other, they know each other and are working with their baggage towards becoming a couple!
Very beautifully put Anjali, a trajectory of a relationship...EDKV has given us a beautiful glimpse of this...I so wish people saw how clearly this has been demonstrated day after day. A thin storyline yet so wonderfully stretched to a level that we can weave possibilities and yet have not lost the significance of why these two find it so difficult to own up or fight for the love they feel for each other. If I understand Shravan, the insecure lover..I can also relate to Sumo the lover who is hoping for a Shravan who will one day be able to give love a chance, by giving up his bitterness. Both positions wonderfully justified by the narrative.
I said in one of my first posts here in this forum that it is always very difficult to negotiate the path of love between the familiar as Shraman are. Working backwards...a perfect way to describe what Shravan and Sumo need to do.

I want cute lovey-dovey scenes too, I live off fluff, I will be on the ground crying with happiness when it happens. But I am so glad that ShraMan aren't rushing into this, because they aren't ready. Getting through all this baggage is necessary for them!
We're so used to the typical "falling into your arms" eye locks and accident tracks where people fawn over the sick person while bandaging them or something - that's not what this show is about. This show isn't about how sexy the male lead is (albeit Namik gets 1st prize in that category) and how the male and female lead can't get a hold on their hormones around each other, it's much deeper than that. This show is telling a story - concisely and perfectly, the way they close all the loops, the parallels, the way tracks are executed are so perfect. Take a step back and look at this show from the perspective of reading a good book, and don't compare it to other desi shows, and I promise it'll make you appreciate the show even more, it has all the elements that make a perfect story.
Dragging this accident track out for weeks would have been pointless and wouldn't be conducive to developing their relationship, I was pleasantly surprised by today's episode. I am so caught up in my expectations of how desi shows work that a lot of things that happen in this show slap me in the face in the most wonderful way. I adore this, I love how despite all the spoilers that float around no one expected today's episode.
